"Y/n? What are you doing here?" Jimin inquired as soon as he walked into the drawing-room, where everyone was present. "Wait- have we gathered for the ring ceremony?" He asked with a concerned voice. Someone, please say no! Jimin prayed in his mind.

"Yes, Jimin! Finally, Y/n will be my daughter-in-law." Mrs. Park chirped, making you shy and red like a tomato.

"C'mon, aunty!" You exclaimed, hiding your face in your palms.

"Dollface, quit blushing. I'd eat you up." Taehyung approaches you and gives you a hug.

Why am I here? To watch all this and burn my heart? Jimin thought, controlling his tears.

"Jimin, take these rings and hand them to Tae," Mr. Park commanded.

Jimin carried two blue boxes to his Hyung as per his father's instructions. "Your rings, Hyung." He delivered those boxes to him while avoiding their gaze.

"Thanks, Chim." Taehyung smiled.

"So Y/n, are you ready to be the daughter-in-law of this house?" Taehyung inquired.

"Yes, Oppa!" You blushed.

"How long have you been calling him Oppa?" With a raised brow and a voice oozing with jealousy, Jimin inquired.

"Ever since I was born." You teased him.

"Huh? What does that mean?" Puzzled Jimin asked.

"Let me clarify. Y/n, take a seat." Taehyung faced Jimin and continued, "Chim, she's your cupcake. Remember my younger sister?" Jimin was asked by Taehyung, who was gripping his shoulders. Jimin was taken aback. He couldn't believe his ears when he heard what he was hearing. Was she the same girl he promised to marry when they grew up, the same girl for whom he had been single until now, the girl with whom he had lost contact once he grew up, the girl who had been Taehyung's life? Tears welled up in his eyes once more.

"When mom sent us on a date, that very moment I realized that she was my younger sibling. I had been searching for her once our father adopted me because she was my only family who was alive. But they changed our home in Daegu and so I couldn't find her. I had lost all my hopes until that day. Even she recognized me from the moles on my face." Taehyung finally revealed.

"Then why would you lie?"

"Because she wasn't sure of her feelings, just like you. She needed time. Also, I'm her older brother. So I had to make sure if your feelings were genuine or not. That is why we continued to lie. We pretended as if we were dating. I moved in with her because that was where we lived before the accident." Taehyung chuckled seeing his younger brother weeping like a kid in front of him. "Could you just tell me everything right away? It's confusing. Also, why couldn't I recognize that house? I used to come to see you when we were younger," Jimin said in between his sniffles.

"When she was six, she went to our grandma's house. We were on our way to Daegu to bring her back. That's when we met with an accident. I was saved because I was thrown out of the car with the sudden jerk that was caused when our car was hit by a truck. Later on, the car caught fire which made everyone feel like we all died. And that was what they informed my sister and grandma." Taehyung's heart dropped remembering that incident. Seeing him hurt, his father stood up and hugged him before continuing the rest.

"He was found by the locals after a day and he was severely injured. We shall call it luck as he was taken to the same hospital where I donate regularly. I recognized him when he was being brought and that's how I adopted him because we were family friends. Also, I felt sorry to lose my friend. We had been searching for Y/n everywhere, but we couldn't find her. After all these years, your mother met her. I didn't know at that time that I had asked Taehyung's sister to kidnap you or set her up with her real brother." He chuckled looking at you which made you and Mrs. Park chuckle as well.

Taehyung continued after a pause, "Mom and dad had forgotten about her. But on the day of our date, I finally got the chance to meet her and I let our parents know that I could finally find her. Also, you couldn't recognize the house because Y/n renovated it once she was back in Seoul." Taehyung concluded with a weak smile. He turned to see his sister crying.

"So you all knew everything? Did you all lie to me?" Jimin asked, looking like an angry mochi.

"Because we wanted to know if you really loved her or if your feelings were momentary." Mrs. Park finally spoke with a shrug.

"And look at the coincidence. I fell for my cupcake once again, without knowing that she was my Y/n." Jimin smiled, looking at his girl.

"Mochi~" You finally spoke. "I missed you mochi."

"I missed you too, cupcake. I'm so happy that I could finally find you." He finally hugged you tightly as if his life depended on it.

"Are you both exchanging rings and making me a happy mother-in-law or shall I adopt another guy and set him up with Y/n?" Mrs. Park asked annoyingly. All she wanted was to make you her daughter-in-law and nothing more.

Before anyone could speak, you both had already exchanged rings with the fear of going through all these yet again.

"I hate you, V Hyung! You made me cry. I'm sure that it's me who is adopted." Jimin whined, making the rest laugh.

"At least I got my sister back." Taehyung smiled and hugged you.

"And I got my cupcake back." Jimin joined you both.

"I got my Oppa and my love back," you said with a smile.

"I got my daughter-in-law," Mrs. Park chirped and joined the hug.

"And I got to save my company," Mr. Park mumbled and sighed, causing everyone to burst out in laughter.

So, I hope I didn't disappoint you all. I got my exams in 2 days and look what I had been doing. I wrote this book within 2 days and here it is, edited and uploaded already.
