.79. Determination
You knock on the door
I refuse to open it
Stubbornly you say
"Here I'll sit."
"Protest won't work"
Innocently I plead
But stubbornly you say
"Here I'll sit."
"I've lost the key,
That's the silly truth."
And sillily you ask
"Shall I open it with my force brute?"
I imagine your lean frame
As you ram it on the door
Then I see stars over your head
And you on the floor
"Please oh my dear,
We cannot meet today."
And you quote me back at me
"But there's always a third way!"
I ponder over the thought
Suddenly an idea hits me
Something to finally drive you away
Eagerly I jump, "Let's see."
"The door might be closed my lady
But if you can knock on my window
Maybe I can open it
And let the air flow."
I don't hear your voice
I think you're gone
But a second later you knock
And once again prove me wrong
Tired of your antics
I reluctantly open the door
It's surprise that hits me
As you aren't there to adore
"Am I hallucinating?"
My mind eats a thought
But before it could have another
I hear another knock
The door's wide open
There's no one out there
"Then where did the knock come from?"
I strip my brain bare
Then I hear it again
A knock on the window
Immediately I open it
And watch your face glow
Still standing outside
You engulf me in a hug
Your lips locked with mine
You climb down on my rug
"How did you get out here?"
I ask in utter shock
"I live on the 50th floor"
I still can't believe you knocked
You look me in the eye
Love is all I can see
That very instant I know
You'd do anything to keep us we
"If you have the determination,"
You say with a wink
"Everything is possible
You just need to think."
"Yes, Mr liar, you just need to think..."
