She went on to sleep
But the books called her back
To remember that one chapter of history
Which her memory lacked

With droopy eyes
She picked up the books again
Seeing those horrible questions
She wished to sleep again

But the sleep remained aloof
Dreams were now gone
All she could think of was
When that king was born?

Eyes were pleading to close
But brain was now wide awake
Still heart refused to study
Leaving her in a confused state

The state she loved the most
It made her think a lot
Whether to embrace sleep
Or read as those Queens rot

Instead, she found her phone
And time passed on its own
She seemed to have been enchanted
For now, even eyes refused to shut down

Confusion solved
Her heart danced
The sleepy history forgotten
The romantic her glanced

Books shut with a sigh
Promising to take revenge next time
She smiled and put them aside
Telling them to rest, till the sun shines

Off to the dreams she ran
To meet her everyday prince
He kissed her in her dreams
And she's been dreaming since
