When silence consumes a relationship
It might be weird to say a hi
But then this little initiative
Is better than saying goodbye

A two letter word
That heals many cuts
Though it brings along with it
A horde of ifs and buts

Why suddenly now?
What's the reason behind it?
That small two letter word
May seem like a big misfit

And yet it is necessary
Not just to break that silence
But to bring the comfort back
And restore a part of balance

After all, someone has to start
And you should be proud that it's you
Because to break the walls of silence
Courage is mustered by very few

So when silence consumes a relationship
Yes, it's weird to say a hi
But don't ever be shy to do it
Because it's better than saying goodbye

We all have those relationships that have gone silent with time. They are there and still they are not. Not always, but sometime or the other, we do feel like talking to some of them. And that's when the dilemma occurs, "Would it be weird to say a hi after these long?"
Trust me, it is weird. A lot.
But still, don't ever be shy to do it.

Because however alluring silence might be, this world is not meant to be silent!
