(Minutes passes by and Joss awakens to the sound of water dripping. He tries to focus his vision until he is able to see strange artifacts around him. He gets up but notice that his left leg was pierced by a sharp metal. With pain, he removes the iron, cuts a part of his shirt, and bandages it. He walks around, looking until he comes to a dead end. He moves his hand trying to find a way out in the wall, when a sudden voice, almost computerize, talks.)

Computer: Releasing airlocks. Releasing pressure contained. Preparing tissue and organs for immediate use. Initiating all programs.

(Joss startles and falls back. What seems a pod, opens and in front of him, a beautiful horned woman lays. He is astonished by her. He stands and looks at her with curiosity until he decides to touch the being. He pokes her cheeks, and the girl opened her eyes and begins to talk.)

Horned Girl: Initiating master identification. Searching...Searching...Searching...Unable to find name of current master in the database. Please, utilize some form of identification for authentication.

(Joss looks at the girl more confused than before. He notices that his leg began to bleed, and he presses his hand, stopping his blood with his powers. He stands yet again and sees that one of his fingers has blood. He pokes the forehead, and the girl began to talk.)

Horned Girl: Authentication completed. DNA acquired. State your name after the sound.

(A loud beep was heard.)

Joss: Joss...McCain?

(Silence)

Joss: Who or what are you?

(No response. He comes closer. The girl moves, and Joss falls back again.)

Horned Girl: Process completed. Master Joss McCain, I am A1: Lacie.

Joss: A..1? Lacie? Are you a robot or something similar?

Lacie: Correction. I am an Android.

Joss: Ok, an Android.

(He chuckles)

Joss: Always the bizarre things happens to me. So...(He turns to the android)...Who is your maker?

Lacie: That would be Father.

(Joss closes his eyes and grunts)

Joss: Can you give me a name?

Lacie: You are Joss McCain.

Joss: The name of your maker!!!

Lacie: I sense high levels of stress. I would recommend trying breathing exercises or muscle relaxants.

Joss: For the love of...Ok ok, let's start from the beginning. Can you tell me the name of the person who made you?

Lacie: My father's name is Belzard.

Joss: Good. Where is he?

Lacie: He is dead. Over one thousand years ago.

Joss: Wait...WHAT?!

Lacie: I can show you the last recording if you accept the terms and conditions of having me as your servant. Would you like to read it?

Joss: No time, I accept.

Lacie: Acceptance acquired. Showing last recording.

(Lacie's chest open and she shows a video of some sort in the wall. In it, there is a huge lab, but part of it was destroyed. Then, he can see what Lacie was seeing a thousand years ago. He hears the voice of a man, which seems to be Belzard.)

Belzard: They have found me. No no no.

Lacie: Father, what will be the action of command?

Belzard: Initiate program, Sleeping Beauty.

Lacie: Would you like to program Brother too?

Belzard: Yes and—

(A huge explosion occurs near and different voices are heard. The man puts a boy in a pod and after some clicks, the pod closes, and it's sent to the sky. He grabs Lacie and puts her in a pod.)

Lacie: Father, have I been a bad girl?

(Tears rolled through his cheeks.)

Belzard: No. You have been a good girl...and an excellent daughter. I am really proud of you.

(He kisses her forehead.)

Belzard: To whomever finds Lacie, please, protect her. She holds the knowledge of this world inside her. I know it is selfish of me...but please...care for her...

(The eyes of the man turn serious and after some moments, he looks back.)

Belzard: Lacie, remember I will always love you.

Lacie: Me too, Father.

Belzard: Initiate Sleeping Beauty.

Lacie: All programs will stop in one minute.

(A huge smile can be seeing within the man. The pod closes. There's a tremendous explosion and a big part of the building collapses, revealing a modern beautiful city. Some strange creatures and people encircle Belzard. A man comes walking towards him.)

Man: Professor Belzard, please, relinquish the remaining robot and you may live.

Belzard: NEVER! They have emotions like you and I, and they hold a great part of the destiny of this world.

(The man moves quickly, and his hand went through the chest of Belzard.)

Man: It was a dumb answer, professor.

(With blood coming out of his mouth and wound, he struggles but he pushes one button, sending the pod where Lacie was off to the sky. In the remaining seconds of Lacie awake, she can see the lips of Belzard moving and interprets it as: "Live". Moments after, everything went black)

Lacie: That was the las recording. Will you like to see it again?

Joss: No...that is enough. Do you...feel anything after seeing that again.

Lacie: I can sense from you low levels of serotonin. That can be explained in the emotion of sadness. I am unable to feel the after mentioned.

(Joss looks a way and then returns his look her.)

Joss: Can you answer any question I ask?

Lacie: If is within my knowledge.

Joss: Ok. Can you tell me who Professor Belzard is?

Lacie: Searching history material: Professor Belzard. Prominent genius who was later called the Crazy Professor. He formed a theory that Oamni would be destroyed by a great force. Upon learning that, he spent is remaining life trying to find a way to stop such calamity. He died after a raid by imperial guards.

Joss: Those weren't imperial guards.

Lacie: That is what the news said.

Joss: Well, they lied. Where was that place?

Lacie: The laboratory was in a land that have a currently new name in the land of Moderno.

Joss: Moderno?

Lacie: Yes. A country far away from here, only approachable by sea or air.

Joss: So, I guess it is pretty far away. Can you tell me something about your brother?

Lacie: A2, currently offline and his whereabouts are unknown.

Joss: Can you track him?

Lacie: Once it goes online, he will send a beacon with his locations.

Joss: Mmmm...Can you tell me something about Arabella Houkini?

Lacie: Searching history material. Unable to find information.

Joss: I guess it's because she is new to this world...(Says to himself) What about Merlin?

Joss: What about Shion?

Lacie: Searching history material. Information founded. Shion Bladehearts. Current hero who grew in a farm. His affinity is not yet obtained. He grew near the capital with the 12th Merlin and Anastacya Aoyama. He is the current 19th reincarnation of The Hero of Oamni.

Joss: 19th?!

Lacie: Yes. The Hero have long lifespans but not much compared to the Merlin's.

Joss: He will live longer than me. (He chuckles.)

(Joss tries to move, but notices that there is a small pool of his blood. He flinches.)

Lacie: My sensor indicates that you, the master, has suffered a small wound in his leg. Would you like to be treated?

Joss: Um...yes?

Lacie: Proceeding to apply the healing factor.

(Joss is confused at the beginning. Lacie approaches the injured thigh of his master and kneels. She grabs the thigh with force and without giving notice, she begins to lick the wound. Joss startles and falls to the ground.)

Joss: Hey Hey Heeeyyy! What do you think you are doing?!

Lacie: I am using microscopic nanomachines to close your wound and promote the anti-coagulation process.

Joss: But you need to lick it?!

(His face turns red)

Lacie: It's the most direct approach to a better healing. That is of course if you want to leave in a few minutes.

Joss: Isn't there another way?

Lacie: Yes, but it will last days. If you want to wait for it.

(After some time and very shyly he answers)

Joss: You may continue.

(He turns away his face as she continues. She grasps his thigh and continues. He closes his hand. Making a fist as she made lewd sounds. After some minutes, she stands.)

Lacie: It is finished. Would you like to solve any other problems?

Joss: Any other problems?!

Lacie: I can sense an outstanding accumulation of stress within you.

(She looks at his groin. He quickly covers it.)

Joss: N-NO!

(He searches in his pocket but notices that his device is broken)

Joss: It can't be...Damn!!!

Lacie: What is the problem, Master?

Joss: My device...it is broken...

(His face was full of sorrow. Lacie comes closer and looks at the little artifact.)

Joss: What? Can you repair it?

Lacie: No. But I can save all his content within me and you can access it anytime, anywhere you like.

Joss: How?!

Lacie: You have access to all my mechanisms. As the nanomachines I control are within you, any command you give me, it will be passed to them.

Joss: Ok...do your thing...

(She takes the machine in her hands and little metallic tentacles connect to it. She begins to scan all the continent within it.)

Lacie: Uhm...

Joss: What is it?

Lacie: I'm currently storing and learning everything that was in this... "cellphone".

Joss: But how?

(She stays silent.)

Lacie: You are a very pervert person...

(He turns completely red and tries to grab the cellphone, but she evades quickly.)

Joss: Hey come back!

(She stares at him)

Joss: I'm a healthy man! We...have our needs...

(Her face changes after some time)

Lacie: Incredible...

Joss: What?

Lacie: All the books contained here. From your home planet: Earth. So much. The Divine Comedy, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Call of Cthulhu, Moby Dick... there is so much knowledge and so many adventures in each one of them.

(Joss shares a little smile)

Joss: Yes...after some time it became my hobby to read. Fascinating isn't it? All the different worlds contained in such a small thing.

Lacie: I have a record of almost all the books of this world, and most are about potions and summoning. There is little to none about stories perse. But your home planet is so full of such wonders.

Joss: And you don't even wanna start with music and photographs.

Lacie: Photo...graphs?

Joss: Access the image folder and you shall find out.

(Upon accessing it, Lacie's face was filled with amazement. Joss closed his eyes, and he could see what the android was watching in his head. There were different images of cities, beaches and food. He explained what those places were and what a food tasted. Lacie showed a picture of Joss and other people within.)

Lacie: Who are these people?

(His face changed to one of sadness.)

Joss: They were...my friends.

Lacie: What happened?

(He looked up, trying to find the words.)

Joss: Something's happened. We... were close, like a family. But then...

(He shifted his gaze and changed the subject.)

Joss: I'm getting a little tired. I will go to sleep.

Lacie: Ok. I will stay up reading.

Joss: Enjoy.

(Joss moves around and finds a spot where he lays and sleeps. After some time, he awakens to an abrupt noise. Upon waking, he founds that Lacie was looking intently at him. He moves away scared.)

Joss: Don't do that. Never again.

Lacie: I was hoping to get to know you better. You get me?

Joss: Ok. Don't use that language.

Lacie: Why???

Joss: It's just...don't. Just stay like the beginning.

Lacie: Ok. I have read quantities of books that were stored in your device. I would like to know, are there more books in your planet?

Joss: There are millions. But I doubt we can return...

Lacie: Well. There might be a way.

Joss: Really?! Can I return?!

Lacie: Maybe.

Joss: How?!

Lacie: First, we need to return to my home country, Moderno. Maybe Father left some notes pertaining that issue.

Joss: Perfect! To Moderno we go!!!

(With his spirit set high, Joss and Lacie exit the used lab.)
