Eighteen
Three months later
"How do you not own a red tie?"
"Because I never needed one," Henry said, taking out a gray and black tie. "Which one?"
"None of them," I said as I adjusted Henry Jr's lips on my nipple and as Xavier walked in. "Borrow one of Xavier's."
"Your sister is a pain, respectfully." Henry said, taking Xavier's tie.
"Tell me about it," He agreed. "Which one am I allowed to hold right now?"
"Brianna," I said, nodding toward her crib. "I'll get dressed as soon as Henry Jr is done eating."
"Take your time," He said, playing with Brianna. "I want time to hold my niece.
Three months ago, we had caught Enzo in the act and when he tried to get away with it, Alice charged him. Since then, he's been awaiting trial and Alice said that there's a possibility that he'll get the death sentence. Because she's giving me the choice on whether I'll agree to it or not, I don't think that getting the death sentence is a good idea. I mean, he still has his family and the twins. I know that he's done some wrong thighs but that doesn't change the fact that he's still a son, a brother, and a father. Killing him is just setting him free. Letting him live and think about what he's done is much better.
After Henry Jr finished eating, I cleaned the mess he made and got dressed. Because we're all going to the court house as a family, it'll be a good
thing and time to be seen. With that, we're all wearing black and red. Just something I thought the family should do together.
"Are you busy?" Xavier asked.
"No. What's up?"
"I know we don't know each other that well and all but by you being my sister, I'd like some advice." He started, sitting next to me.
"Okay. What is it?"
"For the longest time, I've been helping this family with all the mess they've got themself into. When I fix one thing, something else comes up. I haven't been the best boyfriend because of everything I clean up and I know that if I take one little break, everything will go downhill," He explained. "So, my question is, what should I do?"
"I dont need to know you my whole life to answer this question," I said, taking his hand. "I already know that you're the one who holds this family together. You're had to put off your life and your needs to help them with whatever they need. It's your turn. I had to fix many things like this before, so I know what to do. Take a break. I have this family."
Finding out that Xavier and Ankia's twin, Nikea, are a thing that neither family knew about, I knew I had to help my brother. I know he could fix the problems that both families had against each other, but he just couldn't because he was busy helping his own. I bet anyone that they had some kind of long distance relationship in order to keep the peace, but the good news is that I'm here and Xavier can have the life he's always wanted.
Hugging him, he stood up and walked off. Leaving me by myself, I rested my head and closed my eyes. Not three minutes went by when I felt his lips on my neck. Sighing, I then felt his hand go across my breast and down between my legs.
"Can you take me now?"
"Yes," He groaned. "And I wish I could have you now."
"There's this thing called getting a room." Liv said.
"I'm going outside." I said, standing.
"Rhea." He started.
"No. I should leave the two of you alone so she could talk about some lawsuit without my present."
I know that Liv and Henry have this friendship and I know that there's nothing I'd have to worry about, but there's this feeling that doesn't make me trust Liv with Henry alone.
Pulling me into his arms, he lifts my chin and crushes his lips over my own. Knowing that Liv is still watching, I press my hand against his chest and slowly go down until my hand is covering the already bulging thickness in his pants. At this point, I don't care who sees us. Henry made me his and this man is forever mine.
"You two really need to get a room," Alison said, walking in with Abigail and Silas. "There's kids here."
"Just trying to prove a point." I said as Henry felt his lip.
"And now look at what you made my brother do," SHe said, looking at Henry, to me, to Liv, and back to me. "Let the kids get ready with Alice. We need to talk."
"What do you mean talk," Henry asked, pulling my back to his chest. "Why do you want to talk to my girl?"
"Because your lawyer lady seems to want something long and big," Alison said, taking my hand. "But you better keep it in your pants before I have to cut it off."
Before Henry could say anything, Alsipn took me and we went outside through the back. Getting outside, we sat down and Alison lit up a blunt, took a puff, blew smoke out and sighed.
"I hardly smoke but after everything that has happened to you, I just have to." She said, handing me the blunt.
"Yeah and now I have to decide if they should kill him or just lock him up." I said, inhaling the smoke and blowing it out.
"Let the fucker die. He wanted to kill the twins for crying out loud."
"I know. I should, but he still has a family and I don't need the twins to find out that Henry's not their birth father and get upset at the both of us," I state. "After all, killing him is just letting him off easy."
"True," She said, sitting up. Now, speaking of my brother. His birthday is coming up and noticing from his past relationships and he one hundred percent loves to see through clothes."
"Like?"
"Like see through thongs, bras. Just everything see through."
Hearing what Henry loves to see, turns me on a little bit. It would have might a whole lot if it was him telling me himself, but we're taking baby steps in our relationships. I love this man too much to let him break up with me.
Just talking about life and smoking, the door opens and he comes out. He was about to say something but stopped when he saw us smoking.
"Oh my God, Henry," Alison said, standing up. "We're not going to be druggies."
"I just didn't know Rhea smoked," He said, sitting next to me. "And speaking of which. Can I talk to my girlfriend alone?"
"Okay, but I'm taking her out for a girl's day," She said, kissing Henry's check. "Be good."
"I will." He said, taking the blunt.
Watching him inhale the smoke for a long time and then exhale, made me wonder what he wanted to talk about. As he opened his eyes and saw the worry in my eyes, he smiled, kissed me, then laid his head on my lap.
"There's nothing going on between Liv and I. She was just informing me about my mother." He said, taking my hand and laying it on his cheek.
"And this was what you wanted to talk about without Alison?"
"Can't I have you alone," He asked, dragging my hand toward his cock. "Can't I have you to myself?"
"We're going to leave soon," I said as he sat up. "We won't have time."
"Then," He said, pulling me onto him. "We'll just have to make time."
Before I had time to protest, he crushed his lips over mine. Wanting to stop, I pulled away but saw so much lust in his eyes. This man really wanted me right now, but there's no time and I want him to take his time with me. I don't want him rushing.
"Henry," I said, holding his face. "I want you. Believe me. I do, but we just don't have time and I want you to take all your time with me and-"
"I understand," He said, kissing my head. "And you're right."
Helping me up, I noticed that he wouldn't look at me. Seeing this broke my heart a little. I know he's a dominant man and always wants control and probably was never denied sex, but he has to know that we have to deal with business first. We're in a time crunch and wanting me would make us late.
"Does this change anything?" I asked, taking his hand.
"Change what, R-"
"Do I tell you not to change us? What do we have? Our relationship," I asked, "Because I know for a fact all of your girls gave themself to you whenever you wanted and I'm the first to go against that. So, does it?"
"God no," He said, holding me. "You just turned me back in the living room and I wanted you. You saying no does not change anything between us. It's just nothing but sexual pleasure. Nothing more. It does not change anything with us."
"Good because I love you and I don't know what I'll do if I did something wrong and it changed things between us." I said, laying my head under his chin.
"There's nothing you could do that would change things between us," He said, kissing me as Sophia came out. "I love you more."
"Sorry to interrupt, but Xavier wants everyone in the living room."
"Okay," I said, pulling away and taking her in my arms. "Are you okay?"
"No but helping you with the twins keeps me sane."
"If there's anything you need to talk about, know that you can come to me."
"Thank you," She whispered as we walked inside. "And I'm sorry for hating you and for what my brother has put you through."
"It's okay," I said. "You're forgiven."
Giving her a tight squeeze, I took Henry's hand as we walked toward the group.
"So, Alice just left to get things started over at the courthouse," Xavier announced. "Somehow the public found out about 'this event' so it'll be packed. There will be reporters asking questions and it's best not to answer them. Try to hide the twins."
"What about Aura?" I asked as she made her way toward me.
"Unfortunately, the public knows about her. So, she'll be okay." He said.
"Did we ever find out where Adam went?" Henry asked.
"We're still looking for him," He said. "In the meantime, it's best to go MIA for a year."
"Because it's not known who gave the press information, there's a possibility that we're fighting an unknown enemy," Xavier said, looking over at Henry. "Keep her safe and no matter what, don't let her get involved."
"We're not keeping things from each other," I stated. "If there's any family secrets that I don't know about, I need to know."
"Rhea," He sighed. "There's so many things that you don't know and so many reasons why people are coming after you."
"Is this actually my family?"
"It is but it's what our aunt did that changed things to the way they are."
Hearing this, I learn that the situation with Enzo was just the start of a whole shitload of family hidden secrets. I just hope that no one gets hurt or dies when it does happen.
After processing all that I've learned, we all are able to go over to the courthouse. On the way there, we had to take three limos, almost six police escorts, and the SWAT team. Xavier thought up every bad thing that could go wrong on our way to the court house.
Anyway, once at the courthouse, Henry and I covered the twins with their blanket. Climbing out, everyone had a total of four SWAT guards, but with me, it was only three because I had Henry. On the way inside, reporters were yelling and asking to see the twins, when someone asked:
"How was fucking Satan's son who wanted your very own kids?"
"Jacob's not Satan." I said to Henry.
"That's because Jacob isn't Enzo's birth father," He said. "The man that they're referring to was killed by some man named Sherman Antonelli. I'm still trying to do research about the man."
"How long have you known about this?" I asked.
"Rhea. Let's do this trial now and I promise that I'll explain everything to you."
I wanted to ask more questions but wanting to get all of this behind me was much stronger and I just had to let it go. It feels like the more I walked, the more the secrets came to light.
Finally getting inside, we're led to a spot in the front of the court. Facing us are a bunch of men who you didn't want to cross. Just by looking at them, they screamed power. Looking around, I noticed that there were any reporters or cameras. Trying to find Xavier, I find him talking to one of his men. Holding Brianna closer to me, the only thing I can think about is that something bad will happen.
"Where's Alice?" I asked.
"I don't know," Henry said as Xavier came over and sat down. "Do you know what's the hold up?"
"Someone sent Adam's dead body to Alice's office," He explained as the shefit stopped in the middle. "It sat in front of her computer with a target list on screen and we're all on it."
"Including the kids?" I asked as we stood up.
"Aura, yes. The twins, no," He said. "Whoever's behind all of this, they assume that Enzo carried out the plan by killing them."
Hearing this, I fear for my family. I never thought I'd have to live a life that I had to live in fear for my family. Everything that happened with Enzo was just the peak of the iceberg. Would we be able to protect everyone here?
"To get everything out of the way, Sheriff, can you hand this to the family," Alice said, handing a stack of papers to the Sheriff. "And while you're at it, give this to my son, Henry."
Sitting back down and taking the page that Alice wanted us to have, the Sheriff hands Henry a completely different page. A note. As he read it, he looked up at Alice and as if she could read his mind, she nodded.
"What is it?" I asked.
"I'll explain everything to you once this is over," He said, standing. "Circle my option for me."
"Wait," I said as he started to walk off. "Where are you going?"
"Rhea, in about fifty minutes there's a possibility that something bad will happen. Before that time comes, we'll be out of here, but you, me, the twins, and Aura won't be with the rest of the family," He said, holding my hand. "I promise I'll explain everything when I have you somewhere safe."
With nothing more to say, Henry walked off. Looking down at the paper that was given to the family, I find that there's two options:
Kill Enzo for the crime he has tempted to do or let him live and keep him locked up.
Thinking about the twins, I chose the option to keep him alive for Henry's and mine. Handing it back to the Sheriff, all of our responses were brought back to Alice. Receiving them, the entire counsel talked amongst themself. Once some disagree and some agreed, Alice had written her decision.
"Please bring out Mr. Rostova." She said,
Turning our attention to the back of the room, we see six SWAT officers with guns drawn and Enzo in handcuffs in the middle. As he passes me, my stomach turns when he shows off a sinister smile.
How could I be a fool to be madly in love with a monster like him?
"Enzo Rostova," Alice named. "I have come to two decisions. One of them was to have you killed, but the other was to keep you alive. This choice is left up to me and I've chosen to keep you alive at the Antonelli prison."
At this, Enzo roared, but Alice had stood up and left. As the family and I stood with Xavier's help, Enzo turned to look at me.
"This was just the start, Rhea. Your family will pay for what they've done to my family years ago."
Hearing this, fear came in and the only thing that I wanted was to get from this place. Maybe I was wrong to choose the option to keep him alive. Maybe I should have had him killed and everything would stop.
