Rey was a princess who was taken from her parents at a young age and raised by her cruel grandfather who was very abusive and kept her locked away.

One day she is rescued by a knight, named Ben. Her parents had promised that whichever of their knights was able to rescue her would be have her hand in marriage. But Rey didn't want to marry him, and since she did half the work of rescuing herself why should she?

Yet along their journey back to the palace she begins to get to know him better.
