A/N: This is a modern AU. The names I am using are Kira Rey (for Rey) and Ren Solo (for Ben). This will be what I think they would be like if Star Wars existed for them and how much they are nerds. And be warned TLJ spoilers.

       ~Kira's POV~
   Today is my three year anniversary for dating my best friend, Ren. So he asked me on a date to see the latest movie of Star Wars. I have such an addiction to it that, well I may have forced him to watch it about 5 times all the way through.
   He picks me up at around 8pm and we head out to the theater. The theater was relatively empty so it was almost all ours.  As the movie starts I am overwhelmed with glee. This series is what gets me through life. Growing up I hate a terrible child hood. I'm not the only one though. Ren had been sent to a privet academy for years until he breaks out attend attends a public high school. That's where we met. I was the founder of the Star Wars fan club there. With Ren being a year older he didn't mind any of us "younger children". I finally got him to join and that's when we started to hang out. I knew he had feelings but my adopted family was strongly against any relationships. So when I left we started dating. And here we are, sitting in a huge dark room watching the latest movie in the series that brought us together. I feel Ren grip my hand tightly. That's right he had seen this before and I could tell his favorite part was coming up.
   On the screen an intense battle was happening between Rey, Kylo Ren, and Supreme leader Snoke's guards. It's funny. I feel that Ren and I are just like the characters in a way. Similar names and backstory. As I see the battle end and Ben walls over towards Rey to pretty much ask her to be his,I look to see Ren on one knee. A small box sits in his hands.
   "Kira, this is what I have been waiting for and it has come. Where and when else would I propose to the love of my life than with her favorite movie. So will you be my Rey to my Ben?" I saw the love shine through his eyes as I nod crying silently. Well at last one ship sailed tonight.
   Ren and I have been planning this day for months. We decided to embody Kylo Ren and Rey. Well more in reverse. I had a black dress where he found a grey suit with a tan shirt. Nothing could make me happier. His parents showed up but mine flat out refused. That's fine. I took Kylo Ren's advice. I let the past die. And I am making a cuter for my self.
   At the reception, instead of a first dance we had a first lightsaber battle, and it was definitely not the last. Everything was perfect on my perfect night. Everything will be perfect because I have Ren. And when one falls we were there to pick the other up. And that is what being a total geek does. It makes me happy and nothing could be better.
