Ayako was quite content with her life as it was. She had people she treasured albeit not knowing if they thought the same about her too. She din't have any dream she wanted to achieve before she died nor any aim in life like others her age. She was just there trying to do everything thrown at her hoping to find her purpose in life.

Walking through the bustling streets of Konoha, she noticed that everyone had an aim in whatever they were doing, may it be reaching somewhere or accomplishing some task. Usually, she would still be at home sleeping, having her breakfast or simply just watching the television. But today, she was summoned to the Hokage office for some unknown reason.

In her opinion, it was too early to even be outside of her home right now but Hokage's orders are Hokage's orders as taught to her by the grey haired guy who was intent on believing he was still young. All she could say to him was "Youth is merely a state of mind."

She was in front on the door of the office when she heard a voice from behind her ,"Ayako-chan, what are you doing here?" "Ah, Mikoto-san I was told by the Hokage to come here yesterday. Are you here for that too?" "Yes, we were summoned." Answered Fugaku like he was a child waiting to be bought his favorite candy. She quickly dismissed the image of a child Fugaku throwing a tantrum.

She knocked on the door thrice,"Come in." the hokage said in a voice that sounded like he had not slept for days. She entered after the two and was surprised to see a bunch of other people she knew like the Ino-Shika-Cho trio and their families. The younger academy kids were playing in a corner. Naruto and Choji had taken it upon themselves to force Shikmaru into participating in whatever they were doing. All in all, you wouldn't think this was the Hokage office if you didn't know any better.

She caught sight of Shisui and Itachi conversing and was about the make her way there when she heard the Hokage say, "We have found a device with a scroll outside the village, namely a device that can make you see things like the past or the future." Ayako knew that the future was not something that anyone can see and even if it could be seen, there would be repercussions, she was reluctant in believing what was being said but she went along with it.

"Surely you don't believe it. Do you, Hokage-sama?" Fugaku was the first to openly express what was going through everyone's mind. "I was reluctant in believing it at first as well but after trying the device out yesterday with the help of some others, I have come to the conclusion that it is indeed not a sham."

This just confirms it, the Hokage has finally gone senile due to old age.

"Then let's do it." Tsume concluded. After receiving several glances from her peers. She spoke up ,"I mean we are all here anyways and I do want to know about the future." "There are consequences to everything, you have to understand that Tsume. I get where you are coming from but we have to think about the consequences as well." Shikaku pointed out.

"Stop being so boring Shikaku, live a little. Don't you wanna know what happens to your 'little deer' in the future."

"Don't call me that" interjected Shikamaru from where he was.

It transcended to a full blown discussion from there with the other elders joining in.

The whole room was filled with incoherent chattering now, some discussing things that may be considered important while some were merely expressing their confusion together.

"Ayako! Here!" She saw a familiar head beckoning her over to go and take a seat near him in the third line. She took a sear him and sat with Naruto on her right. Their line was.. in a left to right order: Sasuke, Itachi, Shisui, Ayako and Naruto. Since the lines could fit around 5 people each, there wasn't much problem or congestion in the office.

The Hokage office had neatly laid out carpets and the people were sitting on that carpet in lines. It seemed to be based on age as the first liners were the ones who were the youngest while the older and more important people sat at the back.

They were seated positioning their front to the office table of the Hokage.

"Do you think  we will get to see the actual future, Ayako?" 

"I don't know but I hope it does. We are here already so it would be better if we check it out before coming to conclusions. They did say it worked and I am curious about the future. What about you?" Before Itachi could answer the Hokage announced in a final tone "We are watching the future, I wouldn't have brought you here if we weren't."

"Hokage-sama, I just have one question. Why are the kids here?"

"I haven't mentioned this but a scroll was present there which contained names of people who should apparently be present here to watch the snippets." The names were read out and everyone waited for their name to be read.

"I don't think my name is there, Hokage-sama" Ayako informed the Hokage, she was dreading the fact that she might have to leave since her name wasn't there, she wanted to know about the future. I mean who wouldn't?

"As to that Ayako, me and Shikaku believe that this might be related to your appearance." After the Hokage finished, the door creaked open and Jiraiya, otherwise known as the great Toad Sage walked in, in the most dramatic way she had ever seen.

"Jiraiya here, helped me with the sealing on the scroll. He's gonna be watching too, there are some other names in here who are not present today." the Hokage informs the people present there.

The occupants in the room were taken to a different room with spacious seatings and watched as their Hokage and the legendary Sannin took out a device and projected something like a screen on the wall and the words

"Welcome to the Future Facet" came on. It was fascinating to say the least that a simple device could do something as grand as this.

Before they could start, the Hokage coughed to gain thrir attention, "Before we proceed further, I would like for all of us to introduce ourselves."

In response to the questioning glances that he received, he continued, "It will make us more acquainted."

They all just went along with it, it was an odd request but why not. Hokage's orders are Hokage's orders.

"I am Sarutobi Hiruzen, the Third Hokage."

"Jiraiya, the toad sage, Legendary Sannin, a presence so great you should pay me for being here." He would have said more if not for the deathly stares he got.

"Uchiha Fugaku."
"Uchiha Mikoto."

"Uchiha Itachi, 12."

"Uchiha Sasuke, 6."

"Uchiha Shisui, 15."

"Hyuga Hiashi."

"Hyuga Hinata, 6."

"Hyuga Neji, 7."

"Nara Shikaku."

"Nara Yoshino."

"Nara Shikamaru, 6."

"Yamanaka Inoichi."
"Yamanaka Misato."

"Yamanaka Ino, 6."

"Akimichi Choja.
"Akimichi Chieko."

"Akimichi Choji, 6."

"Inuzuka Tsume."

"Now that introductions are-"

"Hokage-Sama, are you planning on..?"

"We will have to see what the point of it is, but turning situations for our advantage is what we will aim for if it's bad."

A bright light came onto the screen, "We will now proceed." Everyone took their seats and got ready for the show, only to be interrupted by Neji. He might have only been seven but he was able to think of something important that would be much helpful to them. He inwardly praised himself, before dismissing that thought.

"If this is the future shouldn't we note down the stuff we see to prevent them."

"What do you mean prevent them?

"Think about it, they wouldn't show us the future if it was all sunshine, rainbows and daisies." added Shisui.

"He is right, I will note them down" volunteered Ayako.

"So, Ayako will note down the things we see incase they are important to the future. And we can pause the projection if anything occurs or for any discussion we may have." Everyone agreed and hence the show commenced.
