Liam's Pov

After Ruby and I closed the club and said our goodbyes I made my way back to Hum's bar.

Fortunately, everyone was still there and it looks like they were all too busying drinking and dancing to even notice I was gone.

Good. The last thing I need is for them to started bombing me with questions as to why I left.

However, what bothered me a little was the fact that when it was time to leave and the guys and I carried Tankhun to the car, Vegas didn't appear to offer Porsche a ride on his motorcycle.

That happened in the series so why didn't it happen this time?

I mean, yes, I've changed so many things, but did I change that much that some things are bound to be different?

I tried my best to shake that feeling off. Maybe I'm overreacting.

Besides, I did scare Vegas that night at the auction when I rushed to rescue my brother.

Maybe he's worried about facing me, again, in person and is trying to keep it on the low right now.

But, at least Kinn won't get jealous. Therefore, no problems will happen between the two cousins.

At least for right now.

The drive home the others were chatting nonstop, cracking jokes time to time and laughing at basically anything.

I didn't mind. Especially since my brother is happy and being his energetic and goofball self.

Something that he lacked because of what originally happened.

Finally, when we made it back to the compound that's when we parted ways.

Well, Porsche had excused himself. He said he had to do something really quickly before he would go to bed.

Something tells me he's going to go see Kinn.

I'm happy that he's recovered from everything that happened at the auction.

And I'm happy that he's comfortable going to go talk to Kinn by himself rather than needing me with him.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to be by his side if he needs me.

But, then again, he is an adult and he wants to be able to do things on his own without someone being his guard. 

Yes, that also includes me.

But at least that means things for them will be differently. 

Since Porsche didn't try and hook up with that blonde woman, I hope that means Kinn didn't try hooking up with his usual boy toy.

And, if he still does try and hook up with one of his boy toys, I don't have any issues smacking him across the face.

Especially if that'll be the only way to smack some sense into him.

Anyways, moving on from that...

I crouched down in front of my drawer and quietly opened it up. I made sure I didn't make a sound when taking out the bag that had the cylinder tube with the liquid and the needle.

I quietly closed the drawer back up before standing up.

After making sure Pravat was asleep, truly asleep, I tiptoed to the door and quietly opened it.

I stepped outside and quietly closed the door, sighing in relief before walking away from it.

My phone vibrated and I took it out and opened it. A message from Ruby.

I'm getting into my car now. I know a shortcut, so I should be there in twenty minutes

I smiled faintly at that before texting her back.

Great. Be safe and text me once you're here. Remember, don't park in front of the compound

I waited for a few seconds before my phone vibrated, again, and I saw Ruby's message.

I'm not an idiot, Li. I know what to do

I chuckled and shook my head before texting her a thumbs up before putting my phone back into my pocket.

With that, I took off.

Luckily, there weren't any guards on duty today so that means everyone is asleep.

The last thing I wanted was to do sneak attacks just so I don't get caught.

And thank god that the cameras are off today.

Apparently, at least from what Arm told me, they're going to be adding a few updates so that's why they turned them off today.

I made it to the spiral staircase that I was looking for and quietly made my way up, trying not to make any sound.

"Just a little more" I muttered under my breath.

Finally, when I reached the top I walked over to the place the secret room was located.

Like I said, I've watched this series so many times. I know where everything is.

I stood in front of the entrance to the secret room. I pressed my lips together tightly when I saw that I had to put in the passcode.

No surprise, I already know what the passcode is.

I might've had a small obsession with this series. But, I just really liked it.

Sue me.

After typing in the passcode the door opened and I let out a sigh of relief, completely happy that it worked.

I stepped inside and made sure nobody was around before closing the door.

I took a few steps forward before stopping, not making my appearance known just yet.

I crouched down and put the bag on the ground in front of me. I opened it and took out the stuff.

The first thing I did was take out the cylinder tube that had the liquid inside before taking out the needle.

I carefully put the liquid where it needed to be. I stopped once it was empty and in the needle before putting the cylinder tube back inside the bag.

When that was done, I slowly stood up from the ground as I left the bag where it was.

"Lets hope this works" I muttered.

I walked further into the room, doing my best not to make any noise.

I peeked my head from behind the wall and my breath hitched at the sight I was seeing.

Nampheung...

Porsche and Chay's mother. My adopted mother, apparently.

She was still awake and she was sitting on the stool. She was currently coloring a painting she made.

Painting might be the only thing she can do while being trapped in here, but she's really amazing at it. I wonder if before all of this mafia shit happened she had a job that was related to painting.

"Focus, Liam. Focus" I muttered, scolding myself.

I have to stay focused and remember why I'm here.

Sedate her. Get her out of here. Get in the car when Ruby arrives so we can take her to her mothers house.

Taking a deep breath, I walked further into the room and quietly made my way over to her.

I clutched onto the needle tightly and slowly raised my hand, ready to inject the needle into Nampheung's into her arm.

Almost there...

Almost there...

Unfortunately, nothing ever goes easy...

I accidentally hit something while walking, creating a loud ass noise that was enough to alert the woman painting.

Speaking of said woman...

Nampheung turned around and when her eyes made contact with mine she froze.

A mixture of shock, confusion, fear and...realization, coursed through her eyes.

"Fuck" I muttered.

My eyes widened when I saw her opening her mouth. Most likely to scream to alert Korn and, maybe, everyone else.

Mainly Korn.

And I can't have that.

I lunged forward and didn't waste anytime in plunging the needle into her arm, just like Ruby told me.

Nampheung gasped at the action and dropped her paintbrush.

Luckily, the paintbrush wasn't anything big of heavy so it didn't make any noise.

Nampheung's eyes wandered down to the needle that was in her arm before making eye contact with me, again.

"Forgive me, Nampheung. But I had to" I softly whispered.

I offered her a faint apologetic smile before slowly removing the needle from her arm.

I watched as her eyes rolled to the back of her head. She swayed back and forth before she started falling to the side.

I quickly caught her and held onto her tightly. I gently lifted her up from the stool she was sitting on and we both sunk to the ground.

I brought her into my arms, holding onto her tightly, watching as her head fell onto my shoulder.

Sighing, I gently brushed some of her hair away from her face.

"Don't worry. I'm getting you out of here" I whispered.

I put my arms under her body and lifted her up, carrying her bridal style. Surprisingly, she's easy to carry.

Just as I was about to turn around, something had me freezing in silence and fear.

"Liam?" a voice asked from behind me.

My face paled and my breath hitched. Nothing but fear and anxiety coursed through my body.

Swallowing down a huge lump in my throat, I turned around, Nampheung still in my arms, and made contact with the person that was also in the room.

Pravat.

He was standing just a few feet in front of me, he was still in his pajamas. His eyes were wide open in complete shock and disbelief.

It obviously didn't help that I had an unconscious woman in my arms.

"What the absolute hell?" Pravat managed to choke out.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck" I repeated over and over again.

This is bad. This is fucking bad.

I turned around and walked over to the couch that was located in the room. 

I gently laid Nampheung down, brushing some hair away from her face, before turning back over to Pravat.

"Liam, what the fuck is going on? Who is that?" Pravat asked, pointing over to Nampheung.

"Pravat, what the hell are you doing here? Weren't you asleep?" I asked.

I made sure he was fast asleep before leaving so that he wouldn't suspect anything.

"I woke up to use the bathroom when I saw that you weren't in bed. When I realized you weren't in the room I decided to go check on you. I saw you walking around but before I could call out to you I saw you walking up the staircase and followed after you" Pravat explained.

I let out a groan and tugged at my hair, scolding myself inside my head.

How the hell did I not hear Pravat's footsteps when he was following me?

More importantly, how did he get inside when I made sure to close the door?

"Pravat, you need to leave. Now" I sternly said.

"No. I'm not going anywhere until you tell me what this room is, who that lady is, why she's here and why she's unconscious" Pravat glared at me.

"Pravat..." I trailed off but he cut me off.

"Liam, I swear to god if you don't tell me what I want to know I will go to Chan and-" he started but I cut him off.

"No! No, please don't do that. You go to Chan and he'll go to Mr. Korn and that's the last thing I need right now" I frowned.

"Well then tell me what I want to know. And, also, how the hell did you even know this room existed?" Pravat asked.

I opened my mouth to say something, anything, when my phone chimed.

Groaning in annoyance, I took my phone out and saw a message from Ruby.

I've just arrived. Hurry up, we have to leave or else we'll both get caught

I sighed in exasperation and resisted the urge to tug, more, at my hair.

I looked up at Pravat and saw him staring at my phone in shock. I rolled my eyes and stuffed the object into my pocket.

"How the hell do you have a phone?" Pravat asked in shock.

"Look, Pravat, I promise I will answer all of your questions later. Right now I need to get her out of here and somewhere safe" I told him.

My top priority is Nampheung and getting her out of this hellhole.

"Safe? What are you talking about?" Pravat asked, confused.

Is it bad if I punch him in the face just so he can stop asking me questions?

Because right about now I'm getting fed up and want nothing more than just to scream out my frustrations.

"Pravat, just help me get Nampheung out of here and outside. I'll explain everything once we're away from here" I told him.

"Liam, I..." he trailed off.

"Pravat, please. If you're really my friend you will help me. Please" I softly begged.

Pravat frowned and bit his lip, having a debate with himself inside his head.

He glanced between Nampheung and I few times before he let out a sigh.

His eyes met mine and he nodded, indicating that he'll help.

"Thank you, you're the best" I smiled.

"Yeah, yeah. But once we've gotten her out and away from here, you're telling me everything that I want to know" Pravat sternly said.

"Deal" I nodded.

He nodded himself before sighing as he walked over to the woman.

He studied her for a few seconds before placing his arms under her body, he picked her up and carried her bridal style.

He made sure she was comfortable in his arms before turning around to face me.

"Alright, lead the way" Pravat told me.

I sighed and nodded. I began walking towards the door and Pravat followed after me.

Once we were both out of the secret room I closed the door, as quietly as possible, before gesturing Pravat to follow me once more.

We made it downstairs pretty easily. But we were still on high alert, making sure that nobody was awake or was following us.

We kept on walking before we made it towards the exit.

Finally, we were outside of the compound.

"Come on, she's probably a bit farther away from here" I whispered.

Pravat raised an eyebrow at me and nodded. I continued walking and Pravat followed behind me, glancing at Nampheung from time to time.

When we were farther away from the compound I began looking for Ruby's car.

My eyes brightened when I finally spotted it and motioned for Pravat to follow me, not wanting him to get left behind.

Especially when he's the one carrying my unconscious adopted mother.

Ruby must've saw us from her window because she got out of the car, quietly shutting the door, before rushing over to me.

"Oh, thank god you're alright. I was worried you were caught by your boss" Ruby breathed out.

She brought me into a hug and I hugged her back, releasing a shuddering breath.

"Oh, I was caught. Just not by my boss" I told her.

She pulled away from me and looked at me with furrowed eyebrows. I sighed and gestured behind me.

Ruby looked behind me and her eyes widened when she saw Pravat carrying Nampheung.

Pravat was just as surprised to see her before awkwardly smiling at her, unsure of what to do or say.

"Li, who's that?" Ruby asked, turning her attention back over to me.

"That's Pravat. He's a bodyguard as well and one of my friends. He caught me and now, well, he's kind of apart of this" I explained.

Her eyes widened slightly at that. I don't blame her for that reaction.

She let out a sigh before nodding her head.

"Fine, fine. He can tag along with us. Him and Nampheung are in the back while you're with me in the front" Ruby said.

"Got it" I nodded.

"Now get your asses in the car. We have to move now or we're all busted" she told us.

I nodded and gestured for Pravat to get in the car. He reluctantly obeyed, causing me to sigh slightly.

Ruby got into the drivers seat and I followed after her, getting into the passenger seat.

It's a miracle that I'm not afraid getting into cars, considering I died in that terrible car crash.

But, as long as I'm not the one driving, as long as we don't get into any accidents, I'll be alright.

"Buckle up, everyone. It'll be a long ride" Ruby told us.

With that, she drove off.

I sighed and turned my head around. I saw Pravat lying Nampheung down with her head lying on his lap.

He looked a tad bit uncomfortable, which is understandable, but he simply patted her head before turning to look out the window.

I bit my lip and turned away. I closed my eyes and let my head rest on the window.

How the hell did I mess this up?

How the hell did I get caught after I planned out everything?

Now because I wasn't careful, Pravat has to know the truth.

The last thing I want is to tell Pravat everything. Considering Ruby already knows and I swore not to involve anyone else.

But...after everything that has happened, I'm gonna have to tell him.
