Chapter Four: Bye Bye Useless Uncle

Liam's Pov

After calming myself down, by that I mean slapping my face to make sure I wasn't dreaming, I walked out of the bathroom.

I made my way downstairs and found Chay still sitting on the couch, waiting for me.

I hugged Chay, catching him off guard, before he hugged me back.

I reassured him that there was nothing to worry about and that I'd be fine.

He didn't buy it at first, but eventually, he gave in.

Right now he was in his room, working on homework, he told me to stay downstairs and rest on the couch.

I don't need it, but I didn't want to argue with Chay so I just agreed to do it.

I decided to use my time by looking around the living room, wanting to see everything here.

Obviously, I'll be careful, this might also be my house but the items here belong to Nampheung and Pat.

And the last thing I want is to accidentally break something of Porsche and Chay's parents.

While wandering around, I came across a family picture frame.

In the series the picture frame only had Nampheung, who was holding baby Chay, Pat and young Porsche.

The picture frame still had the same picture.

The difference is that my younger self as there too, standing next to young Porsche.

I honestly don't know if I should feel touched, a little creeped out, or both.

I grabbed the picture frame to look at it up close. I couldn't stop the smile from forming on my face.

Porsche and Chay really do get their good looks from their parents.

Mainly their mother, but they have some traits of their father too.

But what hurts my heart is the fact that they're gone.

Yes, Pat's dead while Nampheung is still alive.

But she's being imprisoned by Korn as we speak.

That poor woman must be so scared, thinking that her sons are suffering, or worse.

God...I want nothing more than to shove Korn to the ground for killing Pat and taking Nampheung away from her sons.

I gently trailed my finger down the frame, mesmerizing every detail of it.

"Don't worry, Mr and Mrs. Kittisawat. I won't let either of your sons suffer" I muttered.

That's a promise.

I set the picture frame back down and walked towards the kitchen.

Luckily, there was some pen and paper down here from all the times Chay worked on homework, so that's a plus for me.

I sat down and took the cap off the pen and began writing.

I need to make a list of everything that I need to change.

Which is almost everything when I really think about it.

But still, a list is required so I'm doing it.

I just have to find a good place to hide it. I don't want Porsche or Chay getting suspicious.

I did alot of writing just for this list, but it's worth it, the last thing I want is to forget.

Alright, so, this is what the list looks like.

Kick Arthee out of the house

Earn money to pay off the debt to save the house

Help Porsche kick ass when him and Kinn meet

If Kinn wants us both to be his bodyguards, accept the offer, but convince him to let Chay live with us

Have Tem or Jom watch over the house

Make sure Porsche, Ken and Big become friends. Or, at the very least, frenemies

Try and stop Ken from becoming a traitor

Save Kinn from the lady that tries to kill him

Make friends with Vegas and Macau

If Porsche still gets drugged, save him and keep Kinn away from him

Threaten Korn if he still decides to punish Porsche

I love Vegas, but find the right time to smack him for drugging Porsche

Rescue Nampheung and help her regain her memories

Push my favorite ships together, just make sure there's no trauma involved

Save Big from dying

Kill the stupid bastard named Tawan

Make friends with Tae and convince him to leave Time. He deserves better

When the coup happens, save Chan from dying. I don't want the father figure of the bodyguards to die

Reveal Korn's secrets and then kill him along with Gun

Resolve the rivalry between Kinn and Vegas

Well...this is an extremely long list...

But it doesn't matter.

I'm determined to do all of these things, especially if it means that my brothers and my friends will get their happy endings.

I hate the idea of killing.

No matter how badly they deserve it, it makes me sick to my stomach.

I never killed anyone. At all.

But...Tawan, Korn and Gun are awful people that deserve to die.

I hope that Tankhun, Kinn and Kim forgive me for killing their dad.

And I hope Vegas and Macau forgive me for killing theirs.

Honestly, I believe Macau wouldn't mind, he doesn't care about his father because of how he is.

Vegas...that'll be a bit of a struggle.

Poor thing wants nothing more than to earn his father's approval, but Gun is an asshole and just berates him on everything.

He always compares him to Kinn, reminding him that no matter what he does, Kinn will always be better than him.

He is such an abusive asshole.

I can never imagine my dad or Mr. Baker treating Jack and I the way Gun treats Vegas.

Dad has never laid a hand on me and Mr. Baker has never laid a hand on Jack either.

Dad has always given me love and attention. I have done some bad things, but dad has never hit me because of it.

He scolds me, yes, but at the end of the day he always reminds me that he loves me and just wants me to make good choices.

Vegas just needs loves and he only gets that from Macau.

I hope I can become his friend and shower him with all the love he deserves.

Same with Macau.

Both brothers just need love. I'll gladly give it to them.

But, I also have to find a way to get Pete and Vegas together, hopefully without the whole torture scene.

I should push the ships together to help them become couples, but there will be time for that later.

While I'm on the topic of forgiveness, I hope my parents forgive me for having to kill...

But, everything else on this list, it should be easy.

First thing I have to do is kick Arthee out of the house and threaten him to never come back.

That part is easy.

Just as long as Arthee doesn't resist or try to fight, we should be good.

I heard the door opening and I quickly folded the paper, stuffing it into my pocket and stood up from my chair.

I walked closer and I swear to god I had to contain myself from squealing.

It's my older brother, Porsche Pachara Kittisawat.

Damn, he's good looking even in person, now I know why Kinn fell for him.

Alright, that's weird of me to say, especially when Porsche is my brother.

But, I have the right to feel proud of my brothers good looks.

Sue me all you want.

Speaking of my brother, when his eyes made contact with mine, they immediately widened.

"Liam!" Porsche yelled.

He dropped the bag he was holding onto the couch and ran towards me.

I let out an 'oof' sound when his body collided with mine. His arms wrapped around me protectively and he gently pushed my head towards his chest.

Well...this is a little unexpected.

I wrapped an arm around his waist, hugging him back, recovering from my shock.

Porsche pulled away from the hug and cupped the sides of my face, clear worry shown in his eyes.

"Are you alright? How do you feel?" Porsche asked.

"Uh...I'm fine, why do you ask?" I asked.

"Chay called me and told me that you had fainted while coming down the stairs. I told him I'd leave work to come and check on you, but he didn't want me to get in trouble, so he told me to stay and that he'd take care of you" Porsche explained.

Oh...that's why he's so worried.

I also have to remember that I'm the second oldest, I'm a year younger than Porsche, which means he is obviously going to be overprotective of me the same way he is with Chay.

I opened my mouth to say something, but Porsche beat me to it.

"Are you ok? Are you hurt anywhere? What happened?" Porsche frantically asked.

Is it wrong of me to say that this is making me feel awkward?

I'm not really used to anyone else caring for me like this.

Of course, not including my parents, Jack or his parents.

"Relax, Porsche. I'm fine. I have a small headache but I'm fine" I said.

"Fine?! You fell down the stairs and you say you're fine!" Porsche yelled, clearly in disbelief.

Falling down the stairs is better than my car accident.

But he doesn't need to know that, so we shall keep our mouth shut.

He placed his hands on my shoulders and started inspecting my head, trying to find a bruise or a some blood.

I huffed. I hate how tall he is.

Jack and I are the same height but I always felt slightly taller.

But here, I feel short as hell.

I gently pushed him away from me, rolling my eyes.

"Stop fussing, you're making my headache worse. And really, I'm fine" I sighed.

"Are you sure? Because I swear if I see a hint of blood on your head, we're going to the hospital" Porsche sternly said.

"I'm fine, mom" I sarcastically said.

"How many times have I told you to stop calling me that?" Porsche groaned in annoyance.

Even if he bribed me with candy, I'll always call him that.

I have a habit of getting under people's skin. I must've gotten it from my mom.

After all, she did love getting under my dad's skin whenever she felt like messing with him.

"Enough about me. Where does our uncle sleep?" I asked.

"He sleeps in our parents room" Porsche said, looking confused.

"All his stuff is there, right?" I asked.

"Last time I checked, yes" Porsche nodded.

"Good. Now, come help me by packing his stuff" I said.

"For what reason?" Porsche asked, confused.

"We're gonna pack all his stuff in a nice duffle bag and when he returns, he's getting kicked out" I smiled.

I turned around and made my way upstairs, ignoring the squeak coming from my brother.

I made my way towards the bedroom, hearing Porsche running upstairs, and pushed the door open.

I turned the lights on and walked towards the drawers, ignoring Porsche's rapid footsteps.

"Liam, what's the meaning of this? What do you mean uncle is getting kicked out?" Porsche asked.

"I said what I said. Now, please go get me the duffle bag" I said.

I opened all the drawers and bit back an annoyed sigh, there were barely any clothes.

Although, Arthee is addicted to gambling, so this honestly doesn't surprise me.

"Liam, what's going on with you?" Porsche asked.

"Nothing" I shrugged.

I grabbed all the clothes and threw them onto the bed, closing the drawers.

"Why are we going to kick uncle out?" Porsche asked.

I rolled my eyes and began organizing the clothes from shirts, shorts and pants.

"Porsche, I love you, but why are you dumb?" I asked.

"Hey!" Porsche yelled, clearly offended.

"Uncle isn't a good person, let alone a good guardian. He's the reason we work everyday to earn money to make sure that there's dinner for Chay and to make sure he still gets an education" I explained.

"But-" Porsche started, but I cut him off.

"He's always gambling, even though he sucks, especially when he loses every fucking time. He wastes money all the time and always shows up here with a bruised face after getting beaten up for not paying off whatever debt he owes" I explained.

Porsche remained silent.

I folded the shirts after folding the shorts.

"Not to mention he's always dragging us into his stupid problems. Because of him, we have to pay the debt of this house if we still want to keep it" I explained.

I refuse to let Porsche and Chay lose this house.

This house belonged to their parents and I'll be damned if they lose it because of fucking Arthee.

"He's still our uncle" Porsche weakly defended.

Is it a crime if I smack him across the face?

I mean, I love him, but why is he trying to defend Arthee?

I finished folding the last shirt, setting it down with the others, before picking my head up to look at Porsche.

"He's no uncle of mine. He's not even a guardian to me either" I scoffed.

Porsche sighed and ran a hand through her hair.

"Liam, you make really good points about uncle" Porsche said.

I know I do.

I watched this series so many times and I still grow to dislike Arthee.

"And I don't like him either, but he's still the only family we have left" Porsche sighed.

That's what you think...

"I understand, I really do. But, hia, we're adults now. We can take care of ourselves and we can take care of Chay without uncle. We don't need his help and, honestly, I don't think we ever did" I explained.

The only thing I can give credit to Arthee is staying with them until Porsche was finally of age.

Otherwise, he would've lost Chay and trust me, he didn't want that.

I don't want that either.

I don't want to lose either of my brothers.

"Hia, please. He can't stay here anymore. I refuse to let him drag us into his problems. We have Chay to think about. He matters the most to us" I explained.

Arthee is going to get us in more trouble because of his dumb mistakes if we don't take action soon.

We're not going down because of him. I refuse.

I don't care what happens to him, he's not my uncle either way, so whatever happens to him is none of my concern.

Porsche seemed to think about it, his thinking face was on.

I was worried he wouldn't go along with it, but then a sigh escaped his lips.

"What do you want me to do?" Porsche asked.

A bright smile appeared on my face.

"Go get a duffle bag and bring it to me. Then prepare a few snacks. Uncle is going to need it for his trip" I said.

He nodded and walked out of the room to get the bag and do as he's assigned.

I sighed before finishing the task I'm currently doing.

Late At Night

When Chay was done with his homework he came downstairs to watch T.V with Porsche and I.

We didn't want to tell Chay about Arthee, but we had no choice, considering he saw the duffle bag and the snacks Porsche prepared.

When we told him he was shocked but the shock only lasted for a minute.

Apparently, Chay wasn't against the idea of kicking Arthee out, he too wasn't a fan of him.

Honestly, none of us are a fan of him, it's gotta be his stupid gambling addiction.

So, we sat on the couch together, waiting for Arthee to come home.

We did wait for a few hours, which was fine, we spent those few hours watching many movies.

Oh, and we made some snacks, can't have a movie night without any snacks.

However, the second we heard the gate opening and footsteps approaching, we were on high alert.

It's Arthee. We just know it.

Chay whimpered slightly, causing Porsche and I to frown.

It's obvious that he's afraid how Arthee is going to react, scared that he might hurt Porsche and I.

Porsche wrapped his arms around Chay's shoulders, placing a kiss to his temple, whispering reassuring words to him.

When Arthee walked into the house, I glared at him.

He had bruises and cuts on his face, which meant that he had gotten beaten up by the loan sharks.

But what pissed me off was the fact that he had an empty beer bottle in his hand.

Hell, he still smelt like beer.

The prick went to the bar to get drunk instead of coming home. No doubt wasting whatever money he had in a bar.

He could've brought it to us so we could save it for something else.

After all, that's what's important, saving money so we have enough for later on.

But no! This shit is all about wasting money either to gamble or drink and it pisses me off.

Arthee must've sensed our presence. Once he saw us his eyes lit up slightly.

"Ah, hello my nephews, were you waiting for me?" Arthee asked.

"Yes, we were" Porsche nodded.

Arthee opened his mouth to say something when his eyes wandered to the kitchen.

He furrowed his eyebrows together in confusion when he saw the duffle bag lying on the table.

"Uh, what's going on here? Is someone going on a trip or something?" Arthee asked.

I pressed my lips into a thin line and stood up from the couch.

"Someone is certainly going on a trip. It's just not us" I said.

"What do you mean?" Arthee asked.

Porsche sighed and patted Chay's head before standing up from the couch as well.

"The bag is yours. It has all your belongings in there" Porsche said.

"But, I'm not going anywhere" Arthee frowned.

I swear to god I want to smack him for being such an oblivious dumbass.

"Uncle, Porsche and I talked and we've come to an agreement" I said.

"It's something that's better for all of us. More specifically, my brothers and I" Porsche added.

"And that would be?" Arthee asked.

"We're kicking you out" I bluntly said.

Porsche shot me a pointed look while I shrugged, not regretting what I did.

Especially at the way Arthee's eyes widened in surprise.

"Excuse me?!" Arthee yelled.

I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms over my chest.

"You heard me. We're kicking you out, this is no longer your home, it's only our home" I said.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Arthee asked.

"You're going to take your things that we've so kindly packed for you and leave. Don't ever step foot in this house again, you're not welcomed" I said.

"Are you fucking serious? Where do you suppose I go?!" Arthee yelled.

"I don't care where you go. Just get away from here. This is no longer your home" I gritted my teeth.

He could live in the woods and I still wouldn't care.

He's a walking ball of issues and I don't want him anywhere near my brothers and I.

"Are you two messing with me? Is this some kind of joke?" Arthee asked.

"Does it look like we're joking?" Porsche asked, his tone full of seriousness.

Neither of us would ever joke about this. Ever.

"After everything I've done for you three. I raised you after your parents died, I did everything for you and you repay me by kicking me out!" Arthee yelled.

Chay flinched, clearly startled.

Porsche scooted closer to him, standing protectively in front of him, glaring at Arthee in anger.

I glared at him with the same amount of anger, especially since he scared our little brother.

"You have done nothing but cause problems for us! You've wasted all our money so you can keep gambling when that money could've been used for so many things! Like Chay's tuition fees! Porsche and I work our ass off everyday just to earn more money because your stupid ass decided to bet off our house!" I angrily yelled.

Arthee scowled at me and got closer to my face.

"Don't talk to me like that, you brat!" Arthee yelled.

The nerve of this asshole to call me that when the only brat here is him!

Porsche instantly stood beside me, shoving Arthee away from me.

Arthee groaned when his back hit the wall, he dropped his beer bottle, the glass shattering into pieces.

"Step away from my brother! And don't ever call him a brat again!" Porsche yelled.

The glare he sent to Arthee was one of protectiveness, ready to use violence if needed.

It warms my heart to see he's just as protective of me like he would be with Chay.

"Listen, asshole. Gather your things and leave. Now" I sternly said.

"You heard him. Leave, now. We're not going to say it again" Porsche sternly said.

Arthee scanned Porsche and I up and down before scoffing.

"I'm not going to let myself be intimidated by two pathetic boys! Don't forget that I'm the guardian here, meaning I can do whatever the hell I want!" Arthee yelled.

He grabbed a nearby vase and threw it my way.

Porsche yelped and quickly grabbed my arm and pulled me towards him.

I yelped, stumbling as my back hit his chest, Porsche held me up so I wouldn't fall.

Chay screamed, flinching back in surprise, watching as the now broken vase shattered into pieces.

When I recovered from the shock I was in, I slowly turned my head around to look at Arthee.

Porsche had done the same after recovering from his own shock.

"Did you really just..." I trailed off.

"Yes. Although, next time, I'll be sure to aim properly" Arthee mockingly smirked.

This piece of shit...

Chay, clearly frightened by what Arthee had said and done, shot up from the couch and ran towards us.

He stood behind Porsche and clutched onto his arm tightly, whimpering in fear.

Porsche sent Arthee a glare before wrapping his arm around Chay, holding him close to him, kissing his hair to give him comfort.

I glared at Arthee with nothing but hatred, my fists clenched tightly at my sides.

I was going to be easy on him just for the sake of it.

But, you know what, fuck that!

This piece of shit is getting on my nerves!

And after the shit he just pulled, forget being nice.

I marched towards him and grabbed a fistful of his hair, causing him to yelp in surprise. My grip on his hair tightened, deadly, and I began dragging him outside.

I ignored his protests and continued dragging him, not once stopping.

When I reached the gate I opened it with my free hand, throwing Arthee to the ground.

Arthee groaned in pain, his hand had been scraped when he fell, but I didn't care.

"I calmly told you to grab your things and leave, but since you decided to be difficult, I'm forced to take different measures" I scowled.

Arthee stared up at me, clear anger shown in his eyes.

He opened his mouth to say something, only to get hit straight in the face by the duffle bag.

I turned around and saw Porsche standing at my side, staring at Arthee with an emotionless expression.

"Porsche, are you really going to let him kick me out?" Arthee asked.

"Yes, because he's right" Porsche nodded.

I'm always right, so, no surprise there.

"I've had enough with you and your stupid gambling addiction. I never had the balls to kick you out myself because I was stupid enough to believe that we still needed you. Liam made me realize that we don't need you, we never truly did" Porsche sneered at him.

Honestly, I felt that way while watching the series.

Porsche was finally an adult and he didn't need Arthee anymore.

He was more than capable enough to look after Chay on his own.

There would be some issues, sure, but at least it wouldn't have been as bad.

"Porsche, I-" Arthee started but he cut him off.

"Shut up! Just shut up! Nothing you say can get you out of this. I'm standing by my brother's side no matter what" Porsche sternly said.

I sent him a faint smile before turning back to Arthee.

"We can only truly thank you for being there for us until we were finally of age. If you hadn't been there, we would've been separated, we would've lost each other and we didn't want that" I said.

Arthee stared up at us with wide eyes in disbelief.

He opened his mouth to say something, only to get hit in the face, again, by another bag.

Porsche and I turned around and we smiled when we saw Chay standing in between us.

And just like Porsche, he was staring at Arthee with an emotionless expression.

Arthee groaned before slowly standing up, looking at Chay with pleading eyes.

"Chay, please don't let them kick me out, please! You still need me!" Arthee yelled.

The audacity of this man to try and use Chay against us.

I really want to kill him, but I refrained myself from doing so.

Chay glared at him, a scowl forming on his face, as he held onto both of our arms.

"I never needed you, we never needed you. All you ever did was create problems for us. You're the reason both my hia's have to work every hour of everyday just to earn money to make sure I'm well fed, well dressed and still go to school. You stopped being my uncle a long time ago!" Chay yelled.

Oh my sweet baby Chay...

Yes, he is an innocent child, but he does have a backbone.

Arthee stared at him in disbelief.

He stared at the three of us in disbelief and sadness.

His eyes began watering and tears slowly slid down his cheeks.

"Please, save the tears for someone who gives a damn" Porsche rolled his eyes.

"Now take your stuff and leave, and don't ever come back" I added.

I grabbed him by the collar and pulled him closer to me.

"I swear to god, if you ever step foot in this house again, or if you even think about sending the loan sharks to us again, I will not hesitate to put a bullet through your head!" I sneered at him.

That's a promise.

And I'm known for keeping my promises.

I shoved him backwards before closing the gate, making sure he's kept outside.

I sent him one last glare before grabbing Chay and Porsche and leading them inside.

#1 on the list. Check!
