Chapter Sixteen
Virgil whined as he looked down, his tears still streaming down his face. He wanted to curl up and cry his eyes out. Veg for Roman. For Patton. For Logan. For ANYONE. He just wanted to go home. He wanted someone to hug him and comfort him. Instead, he tried to think of things that made him happy. Like the time he went to a Panic! At the Disco concert. Or when he met Ronnie Radke. Or when Roman hugged him and called him Star. He smiled slightly at that thought. He called him Star for what Virgil thought was the most adorable reason ever.
"I love you, Star," Roman said, making Virgil raise his brow.
"Star?" He asked, Roman smiling brightly as he nodded. "Where did that come from?"
"Because you always have this twinkle in your eyes that are like stars," he said, causing Virgil to blush faintly. "And you're as beautiful as a star. So, your new nickname is Star." Virgil smiled bright, nodding.
Virgil's smile suddenly turned into a frown, fresh tears swelling in his eyes. He missed Roman so much. Just to hear him say 'Hi' would make his day. He closed his eyes, picturing Roman's smile.
"Be confident, Star," he heard Roman say. "I'm sure you can do it."
He shakily sighed, thinking. What could he do that would help? He then remembered that he could make black fire. He looked around before trying to grab the ropes, biting his lip. He remembered seeing Thomas and Deceit leave earlier, so he would have to try and hurry. Only God knows how long he has until they come back. He finally grabbed ahold of a piece of the rope, him sweating as he burned the rope. He felt the ropes loosen and he burned another piece before pulling the ropes off. He quickly stood, stumbling slightly. He quickly regained his balance before running to the door, swinging it open. He was met with someone he didn't expect to see anytime soon.
