Chapter 8: Let It Burn

Jack
"You're out of your mind." I say as I watch my brother start to pack his bags in his office. "It'll only be two months. Two months and we'll get our money back with Jenny Lind." P.T. Says as he starts to walk past me but I put my arm up block his way. "And what about the Circus? The place you build, the people you took in like family. And what about the girls? Are they okay with this?" I ask glaring at him. "The girls will be fine, and you'll take over our little family here. You'll run the circus I mean you are my partner Jack." He says as he pushes past me but I just follow him. "I have a bad feeling about this P.T." I say as I follow him down the stairs.

Everyone was down stairs getting ready for the show and lucky for them, they got to see a show with us. "You're over thinking it Jackson." He says as I walk past Lettie and Elsa. I lock eyes with her, we haven't talked since that night in the center ring. Every though she refused my feelings to her, I still thought she was beautiful and I loved her. So much. Elsa looks away form me and starts to rub her arm before she walks away and I turn back to P.T. I'll take care of that problem later, this one is here now. "I'm not over thinking this brother." I yell as we reach his carriage I only had minutes left before he leaves and I'm in charge.

"P.T. People come here for you, for your ideas. You're the ringleader." I say as he steps into his carriage. I see him close the door and throws me something, his old hat that he use to wear on stage before Lettie made him a new one. "I've been meaning to give that to you. Take care of the family and watch out my girls for me." He hits the side of the carriage making it move. "See you in two months!" He yells as the carriage disappears in the distance. I throw the hat in the ground, "Damn it!" I yell as I move my fingers through my hair in frustration.

I've never been so pissed before in my life, and there is a lot of things in my life I could be pissed off about. I slowly slide to the ground, I could be mad at my father for dying, I could be mad at the Carlyle's, I could be mad at Elsa. Elsa... I wasn't mad at Elsa, I was hurt. I wish she trust me enough to know I would protect her, I would do anything for her. I see a pair of shoes stop in front of me as I look up to see Anna holding the hat I throw. "I think you'll need this for the show tonight." Anna says as she holds the hat out to me. I couldn't help but laugh as I take it, "Thanks. You okay?" I ask making her laugh back at me as she slides down to sit next to me.

"I'm fine, I know we'll be okay without P.T. We have you." She says making me sigh, "Yeah, I guess." "But Jack the real question is, are you okay?" Anna ask making me look at her. "Why would you ask that?" I ask making her shrug, "Well lets see, you're brother left you in charge of a huge circus with people who work their asses off but still get treated like freaks, and the girl you love rejected you." she says making me stiffen up. "Did you have to say it so harshly?" I say making her laugh, "Is there any other way? You know it's true." She say making me nod, "Yeah, you're right." We sat there in awhile just listening to the nightlife start to liven up. "Anna why is she like that?" I ask making her look at me with a questionable look before she looks back at the stars.

"When we were kids, Elsa was the one that was teased the most. People didn't like how she looked, she even started to wear a wig to hide her hair. But it didn't help because of her eyes. And if she started to trust someone enough to show them her true self, they shut her down and broke her." I see her wipe a tear from her eye, "All she's ever wanted was to find love and feel it." She dose a small chuckle as she looks at me, "And she finally found it with you and she's to scared that you'll run away." Anna says making me shake my head, "I'm not going to run away, I love her Anna." "I know you do, she just needs to know you're true on your words."

For being young, Anna was wise and she cared for her sister as much as I cared for Elsa. And everything she said is true, I just have to let Elsa know I love her, maybe not with words but with action. I just don't know how when she won't let me go near her. I sigh as I stand and left my hand to Anna to help her up. "Come on." I say as I put my hat on, "We have a show to put on." I star to walk inside, if I have to wait for Elsa for her to see that I love her, then so be it.

Elsa
The shows have gotten crazier since P.T. Left. Jack has been in charge for almost two months now and we've stayed away from each other. This was for the best, maybe the longer he stays away form me, the less his feelings for me will grow. But that's not working for me, just seeing him on stage in his costume makes my heart beat faster. I know I have feelings for him, that I want him, I just can't bring him into my world to destroy him.

As we start to finish our last show, I start to walk to the back to my corner when I see Jack putting stuff away while everyone left the building. I so busy watching Jack that I didn't know I ran into someone's. "I'm so sorry." I say as I look up to see that it's a customer. "Well, look at this, a little freak bumped into me." The man says with a slur as I smelled the alcohol on his breath. "It was an accident sir. I'm sorry." I whisper, just wishing I could get out of here. The man turns to his three friends behind him, "Did you hear that boys? She's sorry." The drunk says as he looks back at me while his buddies laugh. "I think I need more then just an apology freak." He says as he touches my cheek making me slap his hand, "Don't touch me." I hiss making him laugh.

"Oh we got a fighter, I like that." The man says as he tries to grab my arm but I see a hand grab his. "Do we have a problem gentlemen?" I hear next to me making me look quickly to see Jack glaring at the men. The drunk pulls his arm back and points at me, "You're little bitch harassed me, I demand a refund" The man says as I see Jack's face get red, "A refund for a show that you watched already? Right, I think you men need to leave." Jack says as he starts to walk to them trying to push them back but they won't budge. "You think we're just going to walk away?"

I see the man look back at his friends before he throws a punch a Jack hitting him back a bit. "Jack!" I yell as I go to him but the drunk grabs my arm. "Oh no little girl, you still owe me." He says making me shiver as I try to push him off. I see a hand hit the man making him let go of me as I'm thrown into someone else arms. "Are you okay?" Jack ask as I look into his eyes knowing I was in his arms. I nod not having a voice. "Good, now go." He says as he pushes me out of the way as I see the guy start to fight him again. I try to get back to him but Lettie and the rest of the family start to charge at the men pushing me out of the way and into the back.

I knew I couldn't help with how small I was, I need a weapon. I quickly run to my corner knowing I could find a large piece of wood or something to hit with. As I start to look through everything, I start to cough and smelled smoke. I look behind me seeing smoke starting to fill my corner. "Oh God." I say as I run out to see flames everywhere, and everyone was gone. I looked around to see if anywhere was safe for me to get out. I finally found a small door that can send me outside. I start to cough more as I try to break the door down with everything I had until it finally breaks and I can feel air go into my lungs again.

I start to run to front of the building to see fire carriages and the animals running around on the loose. I tried to find Anna and Kristoff, praying they made it out. That's when I saw her getting hold back by Kristoff. "Anna!" I yell as I see her turn to me tears going down her face. "Elsa!" She yells as she runs to me and into my arms almost making me fall catching her. "I thought you didn't get out." She says with tears. "I thought you didn't either." I say as she lets go of me. I look around to see everyone, expect Jack. I look at Anna, "Where's Jack?" I ask making her face scared. She starts to answer me before I see P.T. Run up to us, when did he get back?

"What happened? Where's Jack?" He ask as we both look at Anna. "He went inside, looking for Elsa." Anna says looking at me making my heart break. I turn back to the building as it starts to burn more. "No.. NO!" I yell as I start to run to the building but Kristoff grabs me holding me back, "No Elsa!" He yells but I can't stop kicking and screaming. I almost missed P.T. Run past me into the building. I could hear his girls screaming at him but all my mind was on Jack, I couldn't lose him. I fell Kristoff's grip start to loosen around me but I just stayed in his arms. That's when the building fell. I could hear everyone screaming it was almost like white noise to me, was this how I loose Jack? Without him knowing I love him.

I put my head into Kristoff's chest and start to cry, why dose everyone I love leave? I was crying so hard I almost missed Anna saying my name. I look at her to see her point to the building. I look to see P.T. Coming out carrying someone. "Oh God." I say as I race to him to see him put Jack on the stretcher, "He took in a lot of smoke." P.T. Says as he coughs. I places my hands on Jack's chest to feel him breathing a little. "He needs a Doctor." I hear someone behind me say as I see Jack get lift up to go to the hospital. I follow as I see them put him in a carriage. I try and join them but a man grabs my shoulder, "I'm sorry miss but only family can be in the carriage." He says but I just push his hand off my shoulder .

"I am family." I hiss as I climb into the carriage and held on to Jack's hand, I was not going to let go of his hand until he wakes up. And he was going to wake up,

I was sure of it.

Hey guys! I'm getting better at updating my work! Whoa! I'm so happy. I hope you enjoy this chapter, I'm having a lot of fun writing this story and I know it'll be coming to a close soon. Hopefully I can do some other writing soon. I have been working on a new story but it's not Jelsa, I'm not sure how everyone feels about that but if you'd like to read it let me know in a comment!
