It's really ridiculous how time flies in the blink of an eye sometimes. Or like author Ai-oon said, “Time's like a bird that never comes back.” It had been about 2 years since Oon and May got back together, a month and a half since they got married. They were obviously the happiest. But everything seemed like it all just happened yesterday. Like Oom went up from coma and made a mess of everything just yesterday.

To Oon, it was like a dream. After she was forced to choose between her own sister and her dear lover, and she had to choose Oom over May, she thought May would be mad at her. The way she broke down in front of Oom, it was the most devastating sight for her. But to her surprise, May wasn't mad. At all.

All the words that came out of Ob-oom’s mouth hurt her. She broke down because she was forced to believe everything that happened between them was her fault. She was forced to believe she was leading Oom on when she didn't even know what was going on in the first place. She didn't break down because Ai supposedly chose Oom over her.

May knew she couldn't choose between her and Oom, hell, why should she have to? She loved both of them. In different ways, that is but it was still love. So she understood.

But little by little, everything had changed, for the better. They were back to loving each other. All the misunderstandings were solved and they were back to being who they loved to be. They were back in each other's arms, even if the memories still remained painfully buried deep inside.

But to the change of scenery, it was May's birthday. Ai had gotten up early in the morning to prepare breakfast for her birthday girl.

Oon usually sucked at cooking. But in the last few months, she'd been learning how to cook so it wouldn't be too busy for her wife to wake up every morning and prepare breakfast. Well, yes. May and Ai-oon lived in May’s apartment together now, of course. Grandma and Ob-oom lived in their old house not too far from their apartment.

The idea was grandma's to begin with. She wanted them to have some peace and spend time together after their marriage. She insisted that she could take care of herself and that if not, Oom was there to take care of her. After denying so many times, like always, grandma's stubbornness won.

Nonetheless, Oon was the first to wish May birthday. She brought breakfast in bed in the morning and dressed May up beautifully. Fortunately, May's birthday was on a weekend. In about a few hours, she also gave May a beautiful pendant as a birthday gift.

They spend the morning outside, shopping. And now, they were sitting on the couch, watching a show on TV because May was tired. In about a few hours, they'd decorate the house as Oon insisted that they arranged a birthday party so grandma, Oom, Ploy, Ton and others would come as well.

May's head was resting on Oon’s shoulder, her arms wrapped around Oon's waist as they both watched the show on TV. In a few minutes, May got distracted. A slight pout took over her expression as she got bored of the show and turned to look up at Ai. “Won't you give me any gift?” She asked, smiling up at Ai. “It's my birthday…”

Ai turned back to look at May, the pleading eyes catching her attention specially. She let out a gentle giggle, her hand roaming up to caress May's cheek. “What do you mean?” She asked. “I already gave you one, didn't I?”

May's pout got slightly deeper as she looked away. “Not that…” she murmured, blowing air out of her nose as if mad. She looked up at the other suggestively.

A genuine chuckle made its way out of Oon's mouth. She turned her body completely to face May. Her other hand roamed to gently pat May's hair. “Then what?”

May lifted her head off of Oon's shoulder, her brows furrowing slightly. “Come on!” She exclaimed. “I'm always the one giving you gifts and rewards,” she complained. “Please?” She pleaded.

Ai laughed, giving a seductive eyebrow raise. “You want a reward?” she asked suggestively. Her right thumb brushed over May's bottom lip gently as she came closer and left a teasing peck on the other's lips.

“Ai!” May complained, touching her lips with her own fingers. “You're not playing fair!” She whined. “Please?”

Ai-oon laughed heartily at her wife's request. “You really want that?” She asked and watched as May nodded eagerly. “You'll have to wait till tonight, Mrs. Birthday wifey,” she whispered in May's ear and blew gently.

May's eyes widened and she gently hit Oon on her arm. “You've gotten cheeky!” She exclaimed but more like a compliment than a complaint.

“Excuse me? I learned that from you!” Ai-oon giggled softly, leaning to sit forward again, intertwining her hands with May's as if never wanting to let go. May leaned her head on Oon’s shoulder again, her other hand on Ai’s lap. Ai-oon turned her face towards her wife's head and left a soft kiss on the top of her head. The sound of her wife's giggle worked like music to her ears as she watched May's eyes crook with the force of her smile with fascination.

After being done with the decorations, in about an hour, the calling bell rang. Oon, still in a not so great outfit, rushed towards the door to open it. In front of her stood her grandma and Ob-oom. In a sparkly white dress, Oom looked stunning, her hands full with gifts. Oon welcomes them with a warm smile, taking the gifts off of Oom’s hand. “You didn't need to bring so much.”

As they entered, Oon closed the door and leaned gently against the wall. “Oom said the same thing. But of course, I did. It's the party after my grandchild's marriage,” grandma replied, a tone of amusement in her voice.

“Grandma…” Oon expressed in a whiny tone, looking up at the stairs of the apartment.

As grandma and Oom sat down on the arranged chairs, Oom followed Oom's gaze and smiled looking upstairs. “Oh, phi Ai, where's May?” She asked, even though Ai’s eyes had given the answer already.

The sound of Oom's voice startled Ai a bit as she turned to look back at her twin sister. “She's changing. Upstairs. She should be coming down any minute,” she murmured, an unknown smile creeping up to her face.

Oom rolled her eyes and chuckled. She walked to Oon and gently pinched her arm. “Grinning widely, aren't you?” She teased. “Come on! It's not like it's your marriage again,” she continued.

Oon’s gaze slowly drifted upwards as she shook her head slowly and resumed smiling to herself. “Shut up,” she mumbled through the smile.

Oom just hit Oon's arm gently and walked back to her seat.

In about a few minutes, the doorbell rang again. Oon opened the door to find Ton, Ploy and many more of May's friends outside. She invited them in and waited for May to come down.

While placing the cake on the table, Ai's eyes drifted towards the staircase upwards again as she finally noticed May's slim figure in a dark lavender short dress slowly walking down the stairs. The dress she wore barely covered down her thighs, the strap of the dress remained one shoulder off. The makeup on May's face was so matte and different from the glittery makeup she usually wore that Oon couldn't help but wonder if that girl was her wife after all.

Ai-oon’s lips parted slightly as her eyes met May's. That grin, that looks in her eyes, Oon knew that look all too well. May was planning something for sure. A bit loud cheers from the rest of the people in her room echoed in Oon's ear but her eyes didn't shift to anything else other than May the whole time her wife walked down the stairs. The same went for May, she didn't pay any attention to anyone else in her room except her beloved.

May's smirk gradually turned to a softened smile as she finally glanced around at everyone else in the room. She could still feel Oon's intense gaze on her but she decided to not pay much attention to it on purpose. She made her way towards the table and sat down. With the back of her hand, she sneakily flicked Ai's arm so the other would stop staring at her like that.

Just when Oon decided that she should probably not stare at her wife like that in front of everyone and was about to avert her gaze, the lawyer crossed her legs, gently resting her right leg on top of the other, causing the smooth fabric to drift even higher up her thigh. Instinctively, Ai-oon leaned closer and covered the area with her hand, acting usual as she looked up at her wife and gave a known look as if saying, “You're seriously doing this?”

Understanding the implication, the lawyer returned a mischievous smile to her wife and uncrossed her legs as she watched Ploy bring the candles and set them up on the cake.

After cutting the cake and everything, it was time for a little bit of partying. Well, as much as they probably could with a grandma around. But wuth a cool grandma like Oon and Oom's, they were even allowed to drink. Well, not much but that was still a bonus.

May danced. It was the first time Oon had ever seen May dance but she couldn't help but think of the way she moved to lift her dress was to provoke Oon on purpose. Because from one side, she stood with Ton and watched the dance. Everyone else was busy talking with their partners. Yes, everyone. Ploy had gone home because she got an urgent call from the restaurant so only Ton and her grandma was alone.

Pang and Jan were teasing each other in one corner. Not to mention, they recently got engaged. And Oom was also busy with someone. Well, it wouldn't be correct if it was only someone, it was their dear Pim. Well, nonetheless, she deserved to be happy as well.

Oon would probably be chatting and having fun with the birthday girl as well if the birthday girl didn't literally have a plan to seduce her in front of everyone. And after she drank a little and got a bit tipsy, it got even worse.

But Ai-oon is still a human, no? How could she refuse the charm of her lovely wife, right? So during the whole whatever was going on, her eyes were fixed on that dress that clung tightly to her partner's body. She couldn't believe she was starting to feel something while watching her dear in that dress, even though she was in front of so many people.

In a matter of seconds, Ai-oon realized that her wife was standing very close to her. Her breath hitched as she felt May's forehead press against her own, May's soft hands wrapping behind her neck. She glanced around nervously and gulped, realizing it was like a dance floor, a soft, romantic music had started and pairings were dancing together.

Ploy was back and dancing with Ton, Kan and Pang were kissing and dancing on one corner, Pim was convincing Oom to dance with her and May was just wanting to dance with Oon.

Oon's breathing relaxed a bit until she again came to realize May's soft hand grazing against her shoulder. May's fingers trailed down her arm and touched her own fingers, gently placing the hand on her waist. Ai just stood there, like a useless statue, letting May guide her towards the middle of the room to dance.

It's not the first time they had danced together, still it was the first time May was so obviously trying to tease her wife. May was cheeky, always. But in front of everyone? It was a different kind of feeling. A feeling that would take Oon a while to get used to.

“Get yourself together, Khun Ai,” May whispered gently in Ai-oon's ear, sending shivers down the writer's spine. The hair on the back of Ai's neck stood up with the intensity of the situation.

“May…” a desperate soft whispered plea left Oon's lips.

The smirk on the lawyer's face widened until the song in the background stopped and Oon's wife slowly pulled away from the loving embrace. When Ai was trying to keep calm, she hadn't noticed that May was gone somewhere. The next second she looked around properly, she pointed May right there but in a different, way more covering dress. A sigh of relief yet slight disappointment escaped her lips.

May walked closer to Oon again and placed Oon's hand on her own waist, walking towards the table. Ai looked around again. Everyone was, once again, busy with their partners. But then she turned to focus on her own partner. That look on her wife's face was killing her from inside, truly. “Why did you change?” She asked in a whisper, softly.

May rolled around a bit until her lips were pressed against Oon's ear. “Because I don't think someone would be able to hold it back till tonight if I wore that dress,” she whispered, her voice low and seductive on purpose.

Oon's eyes widened and she turned to look at May who just glared up at her and blinked innocently. “May!” Ai whined.

“We're in public, you know? Keep it together, miss!” May mumbled, not paying any attention to her wife's earlier whine.

After what felt like an eternity, the party finally ended. When May waved goodbye to all her friends and finally closed the door, she didn't even take a second look at the room before capturing Oon's lips with hers.

Oon returned the kiss with just as much intensity, her hands roaming around to lock the house door properly. As they walked while kissing, their hands wrapped around each other's neck, Oon broke the kiss just enough to whisper against her wife's lips, “You looked so freaking sexy in that earlier dress, you know?” She asked her breathing heavy as her fingers rubbed the back of May's neck.

A smirk formed on May's lips. “I know. I wore that to seduce you,” she murmured, catching Oon's lips with hers again.

The two moved again and May was pushed back on the couch with a soft thud. “Why did you change into this dress?” She asked again, getting up from May's lips to caress the pink dress that May wore now. It was the usual bright dress May liked to wear but it was tight.

“So it'd be hard for you to take it off,” May replied, standing up to crash her lips against her wife's again.
