Chapter 1.
The world is full of bizarre happenings. There was a particular incident, which had etched on my mind. I had deciphered that, Divine intervention has been a panacea to our problems, which are nescience to us. We get wigged out in such a situation, wrecking havoc, and this would cause wreckage on our minds. This incident happened ten years ago.
I would like to give a detailed description of our incident, but before that, I would like to talk about how we slipped into this quagmire. I am a businessman, running a stationary shop, but I am not the only one. I have partners, but to be precise, I am one of the partners. This business belongs to my friend and his wife. The name of my friend is Jaydeep, and his wife Sumitra, Jaydeep's sister Jaya, and her husband Kamlesh were partners too. We are living in a small town called, Dariya. It is a small town, which has a population of roughly twenty-thousand people. Our shop was situated at the edge of the town, our town was a sleepy town, surrounded by lush green forest, mountains, and a river flowing by. I was employed as an accountant, and I used to repair computers too. Jaydeep was an all-rounder, he was a computer hardware specialist, printer, and xerox machine repairer too. Sumitra was an expert in coral drawing, MS Office, editing photos, preparing banners, and other computer applications. Jaya was excellent in printer and Xerox machine repairs, and spiral book-binding, and Kamlesh was good in computer repair, and spiral book-binding too. We have employed a few employees to assist in taking photocopies, spiral book-binding, cleaning, and other work too. Their names were Ramesh, Anand, and Vikram, and they were dedicated to their work. Though being employees, they have become our friends. One of the biggest rooms in Jayadeep's house was converted into a stationary shop, and it was quite big. The business had commenced seven years ago, before this uncanny incident. At first, we faced issues in the business, but later it picked up, and we were doing excellent in the business. Our rates were cheap, as compared to many big stationary shops in the town, we used to receive bulk orders from offices, factories, schools, and colleges for supplying them with stationery, other office supplies, print-outs, spiral book bindings, and banners.
As an accountant, I would say that our profits were shooting up, and we recovered from the slump of our initial years. As we received orders from nearby towns, we purchased an Omni car, so we could easily supply goods to them. Ramesh, Anand, and Vikram used to deliver the goods, or in some cases, I or my friends travelled to supply goods to another town. Even, though we used to do some charity work too, we used to supply office supplies to some charity organizations at subsidized rates too. Charity work gives us gratification, and serenity in our souls, perhaps, money is not evil, it can be used for the betterment of society at large.
