/Memory/

Sonic was sitting on the metal operation table, just looking down at his new body...his mind was still processing about his revival. His ear twitched slightly when heard footsteps coming over to him.

The mad fox had taken off his black rubber gloves, and just presses two fingers to the side of the Mobian's neck, just leaving it there for seconds...with a rather interesting looking on his face he only pulled his fingers away, and clicked his pen. "No Pulse." He said.

"What does that mean?" Sonic asked.

"Well Specimen One-Nineteen, incase you hadn't realized it...your dead, every living thing has a pulse of shape or form, while some reptiles have the ability to control that, most mammals do not." Miles explained.

"I can't be dead...I'm right here, talking to you?"

"Indeed you are, but here have a listen." Miles said as he just places the stethoscope onto the Mobian's ears and placing the metal part on the area where his heart is located.

Sonic listen carefully, before his ears tilted back...he doesn't hear anything.

"What do you hear?" Miles asked.

"N-Nothing...but don't I need my heart to help pump blood through out my body?" Sonic asked.

"In a normal stand point, but it seems like you don't really need that, organ...which is fascinating." Miles added with a crazed look on his face.

Sonic saw the look on the Fox's face, he didn't really protest against him...he was kind of curious himself as to how all of this was possible, deep in thought he hadn't notice that a thermometer was forced into his mouth. It wasn't even an hour before the thermometer started to beep, "twenty-five degrees celsius" Miles said as he wrote it down.

Sonic was quiet during the examination, with every little test the Miles did to the mobian...physically testing was a normal result he had a lot of stamina, but still lacked a heart beat, he didn't feel pain from, and had black blood, but his mind and memories stayed the same, his brainwaves were the same when he was alive.

"Do you have any weird cravings?" Miles asked. As he had Sonic's mouth open to see that he had sharpen teeth, than a mixture of both, but lacked Saliva, as well as sweat.

Sonic only shook his head.

"Good, Well go all the Data that I need, so let's move on to the more Exciting stuff!" The Fox said as he grabbed a hold of some electrical wires.

Days turned into Weeks, since the Mobian's revival to the new world, within the days...he had spent it getting a custom to his new identity, and his new purpose for the world, now that Mobius no longer had a need for a hero, and almost some of the population of Humans and Mobians, had been wiped out. By the Non-Mobian War and Slaughter.

Sonic's ear twitches as he rolls onto his back on the bed...the moonlight was shining in through the covered up windows of the masters quarters, he's been having many nights where he couldn't sleep. Not that he needed it anyways, his own metabolism didn't really seem have to limit, after all his heart refused to beat, to help getting blood flowing throughout his body.

His relationship with Shadow, had gotten better...now that he was more calm around the Non-Mobian, and had actually remembered the times that he had proven himself to want to do the right thing beside starting a war.

With a sigh the mobian started to get out of bed, gently fixing his side of the bed, before heading to the restroom.

Shadow's third eye had shot open, watching the Mobian's movements.

Sonic closed the door to the rest room, switching on the lights, as he started to take off his clothes...he had lost some senses since he had past away, but most of them started to come back to him. He had a highen sense of smell and hearing.

Upon exposing his upper his body, he felt some warm hands slide into his pants. "Here let me help you My Love" Shadow said as his extra spider limbs sprouted out of his back and started to undo the Mobian's pants.

"Did I wake you?" Sonic asked, as he just let the Non-Mobian undress him.

"I was already awake...I just closed to eyes to make it seem like I was sleeping."

Sonic didn't say anything else as a small sigh escapes his lips, he only goes over to the tub after he was completely undressed, turning it on.

The mobian only turned on the jets that were was like large bathtub, he only looked behind to seen that the Non-Mobian himself was undress himself...Sonic couldn't help but to soften his expression...he did say that he was willing to give their relationship a try.

After all Shadow did go to extreme lengths, to want to actually make peace with the people that took everything from him, only for it fail on him, and take the second best thing away from him.

"Shadow...I"

"You don't have to apologize, for your actions long ago...you had all the right to be hostile with me...If anything I should be apologizing for the things that I had done." Shadow admitted.

Sonic only tilted his ears back, if his heart could beat it probably would be at this point. The moment that he stepped into the bath tub and only lets out a sigh of relief as he sank down into the warm water. Shadow joining him shortly after.

"I just wanted to thank you, for not giving up on me...I, when I dead I saw Maria...she thanked me for giving you the happiness that you deserved even though you started out cruel." Sonic explained.

Shadow was taken back by those words, but a smile curled it way onto his muzzle...he knew that his old friend had been watching him, even after death. But for Sonic...he couldn't let him go, not like he did with Maria.

"You hadn't given up on me...so I wanted to to return the favor." Shadow said. "You...really mean a lot to me, and losing you that day...was like losing a part of my soul."

Sonic inched his body closer to Shadow. "Then I promise you I'm not gonna leave you side." He admits.

Shadow only gave the other a soft smile.
