Sonic's ear twitches slightly at the sound of the birds chirping...an the bright natural light from the sun shining in his face...the mobian only buries his face into something that was fluffy and soft.

He didn't remember falling asleep, in the Non-Mobian's arms...he did remember taking a relaxing midnight bath with the other, and just spent the warmth in each other's company.

He only started to lift himself up from the bed, after his eyes had fluttered open...looking down at the sleeping Non-Mobian underneath him, he only presses his cold pale lips onto the others, for a tender kiss. Pulling his muzzle away he awaited for the Non-Mobian to awaken from his slumber.

Shadow only made a soft noise, as his eyes started to open...upon sitting up in the bed, he saw that his lover was already awake. The slight memory of him and the Mobian enjoying a relaxing warm bath together last night started to replay in his mind. Even in the warm water of the tub, the Mobian's body just remained freezing to the touch...but at the black stains on his pelt were gone, and he looked well groomed and cleaned.

"Good Morning, my Love" he greeted to the mobian, before sharing another kiss with him.

"Morning...I don't remember falling asleep, if I did I'm sorry." Sonic apologize.

"Don't be, you ended falling asleep while I was brushing." Shadow admitted.

Sonic shifted his body so that he was laying right beside the other, upon hearing that had gotten groomed last night, he ran his hands through his quills...though most is sense of touch was rather numb, thanks to the lack of blood flow through his own body, but he can still feel how smooth and soft his quills were. He did feel rather refreshed after that relaxing warm bath...and had noticed that putrid smell of rot had faded.

Before he could thank Shadow, he saw that the Non-Mobian had ran his thumb over the bullet wound that was on his chest, that was slightly seeping his black blood, which kind of gave that Non-Mobian hope of a since that his lover's heart had started beating. But...upon checking, there was still no pulse, and he was still freezing to the touch.

"Sorry...I."

"No it's okay, I get curious myself sometime whenever I started to bleed randomly."

Shadow only shook his head, as he just kisses his lover's cheek. "No matter what you look like, dead or alive, I'm still gonna love you."

Sonic could only give the Non-Mobian a genuine smile, before he fully started to get out of the bed. "Can we have a chill day today? Like take a walk through the woods?" He asked.

Shadow thought about it, it has been awhile said he actually left his own territory, the only reason why his hadn't doesn't as often as he would like, was because of those hunters, but now that they are gone, he wasn't in danger...and nor was his lover. "How about we make it a race?"

Sonic's ears perked up as his tail started wagging behind him, after he had finished with putting on his clean black t-shirt. "R-Really, you'd want to race?"

"Of course, I know how much you liked to run."

Sonic only calms himself as he had forced a challenging expression on his face. "Your on Shadow, but I'm not gonna go easy on you!"

"And I don't expect you to." Shadow said returning the same expression. Though the mood was interrupted by the harsh growling of the Mobian's stomach...though the undead Mobian, can go for long periods of time without eating...it just hadn't be tested on how long the Mobian could for. Hints why he always ate big meals for breakfast.

It was mostly out of fear if he started to get a hungry for living meat, not that the Wildlife mattered, but for the Mobians and Humans that lived in the town. It was a little concerning to say the least.

"Lets eat first, before we actually leave the territory." Shadow said.

Sonic nodded in agreement, as he slipped on his sneakers.
