Meliodas ran faster and faster, legs begging him to stop. His heart pounded hearing them race after him. He wouldn't let his fiends die. He wouldn't let himself die. Not yet. Not until he knew they were all safe.
As he ran the oracles cashed after him now laughing. After all this was to be their last mission. After he was dead, they believed they would be set free. No more goddess to serve. No more demons or people to kill. They would have freedom. Something that was given freely to other but, not to them. Finally they would win something for themselves.
Meliodas could hear their relived laughs and giggles as he picked up his speed. His heart raced suddenly when he found himself standing at the edge of a cliff. His eyes darted all over looking for anyway his friend could find him. He let lose a shaky sigh realizing there were no. So slowly her turned around to see the oracles standing their weapons in hand.
"Are you ready for your death?" One of the girls asked getting closer. He sighed looking over. He opened is mouth to speak only to get his arm cut clean off within seconds. He stood there hearing a fuzzy noise looking at his arm before slowly turning to face the girls, demon markings activating.
"Oh fuck Lailah what the hell did you do that for?" Adriel yelled suddenly looking terrified seeing the demon markings. Within seconds Meliodas charged.
His emotionless face was inches away from Lailah.she swung his arm creating what looking like a knife but she knew was a wing forming. Yet, she just smirked before trhowing blessed water in his face. The demon let out a howl of pain dropping to his knees, his face burning while the water had touched him.
"Gave us a bit more fun love..relax." Lailah smirked walking over and kicking the burned demon in the face. He looked up with emotionless eyes that had a koi's being injured. She smirked picking him up the the collar as his wounds still healed.
"God even your highness. My name is Lailah. Lailah υπέροχο-θάνατο Lunacy...you May call be Lailah for short. Your brother cut my sister's arm off, blinded her then removed her heart...prepare to feel the vengeance I've been begging for for years." She smirked. Just as she dug out her blade.
The demon wing came out again. Yet, only in time for her to stab him in the chest.this effectively hit one to two of his hearts. The second she did she heard two screams. Lailah turned around to have the immortal fool, Ban tackle her to the ground. Yet, Meliodas had stumbled back...right over the cliff edge.
Just before he fell over his eyes turned green as he bleed. His eyes looked fearful as his few friends that followed saw him call. Yet, just as he fell he only said one thing. Something that made Ban's heart ache.
"I....I get what I deserve."
And with that he fell over the cliff edge.
