20. Killer
Raven's POV
I fold my hands in my lap as I sit still, letting Cisco take as many tests on me as he wanted. Other than Cisco and I, Barry and Iris were the only other two in the room, and the entire time that I waited for the results, I couldn't keep my eyes off of Barry.
After a long moment, I hear Cisco let out a breath of relief as he looks up at all of us. "She's fine. Everything that was wrong with her before is just...gone. As if it never happened."
A smile appears on my face then, along with Barry and Iris. The next thing I know, Iris is stepping forwards and wrapping her arms around me, pulling me into a huge embrace. "As much as we need to stop Alchemy, at least he did one thing right."
I pull her in close as well as I close my eyes, feeling relief wash over me. For the past few weeks, I have been terrified of losing my life again; to waste this second chance that Barry had given me. But now I was free to live my life, and I no longer had a timer on me.
"What about Wally?" I ask then, seeing all of their faces suddenly go sour. "Has he not woken up yet?"
"Not yet," Iris mumbles softly before trying to stay positive. "But he will, just give him time. We're all just glad that you're okay, Raven."
I nod my head and smile as I find Barry again, who's eyes were glued to me as well. He shoots me a giant grin as well until Cisco's eyes drop to the floor. "But Caitlin is still out there, and we need to find her."
My eyebrows furrow. "Caitlin? What happened with Caitlin?"
Barry decides to take this question. "She uh...she has powers. When I created flashpoint, she was effected by the particle accelerator explosion."
"You're kidding me," I say, the vision of the Killer Frost back on my earth popping up in my mind. She was dead now, but I couldn't seem to stand the thought of there being another one. "Where is she now?"
"Last we saw her, she had taken Julian. I found her and figured out that she was looking for Alchemy to reverse her powers, but I couldn't stop her. The police showed up and she stabbed me in the leg..." Barry says as my eyes trail down to his right leg, finding a bandage wrapped around it that I hadn't noticed before. "It's almost healed, but damn it hurt."
"I was about to try and locate her before you woke up, and here we are now," Cisco says before starting to walk towards the door. "I'm going to go try and pin her location."
Iris points after Cisco. "I better go help him."
After a few minutes, it was just Barry and I left in the room. "Barry, I know she's your friend, but if she's anything like the Killer Frost back on my earth, she's dangerous-"
"She's not full Killer Frost...not yet," Barry steps closer to me as I stand. "She's struggling, I could see it in her eyes. Caitlin is still in there."
"If or when she does go full Frost, there won't be any saving her, Barry." I tell him, remembering how cold hearted my Killer Frost was. "The Frost on my earth almost killed me multiple times-"
"We're not giving up on her," he breathes before taking his hands and placing them on the sides of my face, tangling them in my hair. His eyes stare into my own, bright and hopeful. "I'm just glad that you're okay; that you're safe."
"Me too," I breathe, not wanting to pull my eyes away from his.
Barry's eyebrows furrow slightly. "Do you...do you remember anything of what Alchemy did to you?"
My eyes drift downwards as I think for a long moment, trying hard to remember anything about all of it. The last thing I remembered was that giant metal speedster holding the stone out to me, and then sudden darkness. A phrase starts to come to the surface of my memory, but I couldn't quite grasp what it was.
"I just remember that metal thing..." I fade off before continuing. "Then it was darkness. I had some type of dream, that felt more than a dream, but I can't...I can't remember."
"That metal thing..." Barry says, lowering his hands from my neck. He shakes his head. "You mean Savitar...who claims he's the god of speed."
I give him a questioning look. "Savitar? As in the comic book character?"
It was Barry's turn to give me a questioning look. "Comic book character?"
I nod my head. "Yeah. I remember when I was a kid, my mom would always take me to get something to read, and I always loved the comics. I never bought the Savitar one, mostly because I was afraid of it..."
"You're telling me that this guy is just going off of some comic book name?" Barry scoffs, and I knew he was trying to make it seem as if he wasn't scared of this guy.
"I mean, some of those comics back on my earth did represent a lot of what was already real. We had Flash comic books too, Barry. Of course they weren't of you, but they were Jay Garrick instead. He was real, but the stories in the comics weren't. I'm not saying I believe this, but maybe Savitar is the god of speed, if he's been around that long-"
"He is not a god," Barry states once more. "He's just a man in a suit...just like me. And whatever he wants, we're not going to let him get it."
"In the comics, he wanted to rule time," I dig deep into my memory. "Something about existing in every moment throughout all of time."
Barry rolls his eyes slightly. "Like you said, the comics are different than reality. Whatever this guy wants, he won't get it."
"I hacked into Julian's computer and found two addresses that Caitlin made him search," Cisco says through a mic as Barry and I stop our conversation. "Meet in the cortex."
-*+*-
"Here are the two addresses," Cisco shows us as he throws the location up on the screens. "Take your pick as to which one she'll be at."
Barry looks over his shoulder at Cisco. "We need to keep an eye out for both, in case she shows up and to keep those people there safe-"
"You're not going anywhere," Cisco snaps back at Barry, taking me off guard. "Your leg still isn't healed. I'll take this address, and H.R. and Joe can take the other."
"I'm staying with Wally," Joe says as he stands in the corner.
Iris then proposes and option. "Why don't you go with H.R., dad, and we'll all stay here with Wally. In case he does wake up."
Joe finally nods his head, agreeing with the proposition. "Okay, but you call me in case something happens-"
"We will," Iris nods her head. "I can either stay here with Barry and Raven, or I can go with you Cisco, if you'd like."
"Suits me fine," he nods his head before looking back over at Barry and I. "Raven, take it easy, alright? I know you're healed and all, but just in case, I don't want you doing something that could hurt yourself."
"I'll be okay," I nod back. "But if you need something, just call us alright?"
"Will do," Cisco replies with a smile on his face, but the moment he turns to Barry, it's wiped clean. Before I know it, everyone is rolling out, leaving Barry and I alone once again.
Barry starts to hobble off to where Wally is. "What was that all about?"
He looks over his shoulder at me. "What do you mean?"
"I mean Cisco," I nod back towards the door where he exited. "I noticed the way he looked at you there."
Barry sighs slowly. "When I had confronted Caitlin earlier, she had said something..."
"What did she say?" I ask, waiting for him to get on with it.
"She mentioned that Dante was still alive back in the original timeline," he fades off, looking down. "Which is true. He was alive, and my mistake was what killed him."
I understood Cisco's pain, but I also understood Barry's. "That wasn't your fault, Barry. You didn't intentionally do that to hurt Cisco-"
"But I still did it," he cuts me off, turning around suddenly. "It was my mistake that hurt all of you. My stupid, irrational mistake."
"You might be a speedster, Barry, but you're still human." I pause for a moment to let him take it in. "You make mistakes, just like all of the rest of us."
Barry breathes slowly, shaking his head as he stares at the floor. "I hate what I did, and yes, there are some days that I wish I didn't. But then I remember you, and how I saved you, and it's hard for me to hate myself for my mistake. I'm thankful that I got you back, but I wish I wouldn't have hurt everyone else in the process."
I was about to speak once again before an alarm goes off in the cortex, causing Barry and I to flash our eyes up to the screen. "What is that?"
Barry's eyes are wide. "It's the house that Cisco and Iris are at. She's there."
Without even thinking, I'm grabbing Barry's hand to borrow his speed. He shouts at me for a moment before I grab my suit and put it on, stopping in the cortex in front of him. He shakes his head. "You're not going out there-"
"I have to try and help," I nod before looking back down at his leg. "You're still hurt, I'm not. I'll be right back, okay?"
"Raven!" I hear Barry yell one last time before I'm racing out of S.T.A.R. Labs, towards the address that Cisco and Iris were at. It doesn't take me long to get there, and when I do, I find Cisco and Iris standing in the street, facing a very Killer Frost looking Caitlin.
"Ah, decide to join the fun?" Caitlin hisses at me in that chilling voice; the one that I thought I'd never hear again. "I figured you were too busy being all over Barry."
I narrow my eyes at her as she lifts her hands, her eyes flashing a vibrant blue. As she does so, Cisco takes another step in front of me and holds out his hands while Iris adjusts her grip on the gun in her hand. "You don't have to do this, Caitlin-"
"My name isn't Caitlin," she snaps back in reply, reminding me exactly of my Earth's Killer Frost.
"We just want to help you-"
"You can't help me." She takes a step towards Cisco as I step forwards as well, ready to act when needed. "You promised Caitlin that you would be with her every step of the way through this, and where were you? No where. You had your chance to help, and you couldn't. Alchemy is the only person that can help me now."
Iris raises her gun slightly, causing Caitlin's eyes to flash over towards the two of us. "Besides, team Flash is too busy focusing on the one that caused all of this. Barry went back in time because of her, and he saved her while he let the rest of us suffer; to pick up his broken pieces. At the end of the day, she matters more to him than the rest of us, why can't you see that? Just let me be, you all did before all of this happened to me."
Cisco wasn't going to give up, and I was already starting to find her words as somewhat true. "We're not just a team, we're family, and family doesn't just abandon family. Come home, Caitlin."
I knew she was fed up with talking now. Her hands rise upwards as frost starts to form on the tips of her fingers, her lips curling up in anger. "Can Caitlin Snow do this?"
The next thing I know, Caitlin is throwing icicles towards Cisco and Iris both. Cisco is able to break a few before dashing out of the way, but Iris wasn't fast enough. Without thinking, I race towards her and grab her, picking her up and taking her behind a vehicle parked in the road.
She gasps as she looks around, shocked by the sudden movement. "Thanks."
"Stay here, we got this," I tell her before looking back out over the car, finding Caitlin focusing on Cisco, who was hiding behind a tree. I watch him slip his goggles on before I act. As he jumps out from behind the tree, sending a vibe blast her way, I start to race towards her. However, just before she gets hit by the blast, she's able to create a sheet of ice underneath me, causing me to slip.
I wince as my head smacks the icy floor beneath me, knocking the wind out of me. When I look up again, the blast that Cisco had created hits her dead on, throwing her backwards across the pavement. She rolls for a long moment before groaning, getting back on her feet.
"That's all you got, Cisco?" she asks as she lifts her hands into the air once again. "I know you're stronger than that...why are you holding back?"
I grunt as I push myself up off of the ground, ready to take her down. My legs work fast as I run towards her again, reaching out to grab her wrist. Just as I'm about to take it however, some sort of ice wall forms around her arm, blocking me from touching her. It takes me a moment to realize what she had done, but she took that moment as her advantage. I gasp as she shoots a blast of ice at me, hitting me dead in the chest, just like how my Killer Frost had done years ago on my Earth.
I roll across the pavement below, my hair whipping me in my face every so often. When I finally stop moving, I glance upwards to see her get Cisco as well, knocking him out cold. Just when I was about to get back up on my feet again, another ice blast shoots towards my leg, creating another wall-like border around my foot, pinning me to the ground.
"Poor Raven...the girl who's pitied for her troubled past," Caitlin mocks as she walks towards me. I try and pull my leg from the pavement, but it was frozen solid. "You know it's true, don't you? That you pretty much caused all of us all of this pain. If you would have never came to this Earth, you would have saved us a lot of trouble, wouldn't you of? That's why Caitlin hates you so much. After everything you and Zoom did to them, she hated how everyone was so quick to forgive. You tortured her, held her captive, and no one cared. The second you showed your face back in S.T.A.R. Labs, everyone praised you. They forgot all of the heartache you caused...the heartache you caused Caitlin."
I look up at her with troubled eyes, unsure of how to take all of this information. "I just wanted to help everyone-"
"Help? You've done the opposite of help us." She steps forwards and places her foot on the top of my frozen leg, putting pressure on it as I let out a little scream before bitting my tongue. "Do you remember what you had done back on your earth, when you and Zoom had kidnapped her? Hunter tried to kill Killer Frost there, but he didn't quite do the job. Instead of helping her, you thrusted that icicle into her as if it were nothing; without a second thought. I bet you didn't tell your little Team Flash about that either, did you?"
"I was a different person then," I shake my head, feeling my chest shrink.
"You were the same person then as you are now," she spits coldly before twisting he foot, making the pain in my foot sting even more. "Admit it, Raven. You haven't changed. You're still that cold, rude, psychotic, and damaged person Hunter created you to be-"
Before she can finish off her sentence, I hear a gunshot ring out in the air, causing my eyes to dash upwards to Caitlin. In the middle of her chest was one of the zapper bullets Cisco had designed; one that stunned the enemy and knocked them out cold. Caitlin shakes for a moment before falling to the ground with a thud, hard as a stone.
When I turn to see who shot the bullet, I find Iris standing there, still behind the car as I had instructed her to do. She lowers the gun slowly then as she lets out a breath of relief, along with myself.
I let my head fall back onto the pavement as I close my eyes, not ready to face Barry and the others about everything she had said.

Finally a new chapter! I had this one 95% of the way typed, but when I needed to reference something back from the first book, I noticed that Silver Trickster was down off of my profile. It said it was deleted or removed, so of course naturally I had a panic attack.
BUT Wattpad is amazing and got it back for me, yay!
make sure to comment and vote! xx
