BIRTHRIGHT | Fantasy
Review of Birthright by UnravelAsha
The cover of the book is really simple. I saw a few covers in your book and although I loved them more than the one you currently use, I wouldn't say that the cover you are using now is bad. It's just that I prefer the other ones better. The description of the book is a bit too long for my liking but it did make me curious. I would definitely pick it up and read what it's about. I was a bit worried about the name of the book being a bit too simple even though it connects with the plot.
I loved how you wrote out the setting of the story like the time period and all in the first chapter. I also liked the prompts. The chapter containing the glossary and you trying to explain out a few terms before starting the story is a good thing as well. Coming to the story, I'll be honest here, it took me a while to totally comprehend and understand what the story. I mean, I knew what the story is all about and everything, but I was a bit lost in the start. Don't take me wrong here, I do love the plot and how you've set your story. But something just didn't set well for me, something just didn't keep me engaged to it. I love how you portrayed the characters though and their untold deal of just using each other. The grammar and vocabulary is used properly as well, with a few mistakes here and there.
Overall, plus points for having a glossary, the grammar and vocabulary used, character development and the plot. I've reduced a few points just because the story couldn't keep me engaged.
I'll give this book 4.5 out of 5
