Um. . .moving on:

I'm super excited to drop this next interview and it's with Wendy!!!

Everybody say "Wendy!!!"

LMAOOO 😂 For some reason, I just like the name🌚

So let's welcome the writer of Signed Karma Stardust_Wendy

Y'all know the code:

Q=Question.
A=Answer.
C= Comment.

                           💜🤍💜🤍💜

Q: Fullname.

A: My full name is Chinwe Charis Christopher. 👀 But most people just prefer to call me Wendy cause it's easier to remember and I've stuck with it. 😌

C: Oh, really?? 👀Wow...I didn't see this coming.

C: 😂😂😂

Q: Next question: Nickname/pen name/ pseudonym.

A: My nickname is Wendy, obviously. My pen is Stardust Wendy. 😊

Q: Age/Birthdate.

A: I just celebrated my birthday recently, I clocked a year younger. 😌😂

7th October; save the date.

(Um. . .👀 Uh, it's not recent again oh😁😂 sorry guys.)

Q: Nationality and state of Origin.

A: Nigerian -  Imo State.

Q: Where do you stay?

A: Currently, I stay in Abuja. 😊

Q: When did you start writing in general?

A: For a lot of writers, they don't remember that moment. But for me, it was a clear as day.

I picked up my pen to start writing in my Primary 4 when I was just 9 years old. It was in class and after an interesting conversation with my primary school best friend, I decided to start writing and since then, I've never stopped.

C: Whoa. . . amazing.

Q: Why do you write?

A: Because I simply can not stop myself from writing. It's like a first instinct to me whenever I feel down or angry or even happy.

It's one thing I've been good at and it allows me to be a god. It gives me the power to create worlds of my own and build varieties of people. It lets me express myself through the experiences of these characters and when spoken words fail me, I can always turn to my pen to execute the justice that I feel.

I write because I want to be heard and because I can't stop myself from doing so.

C: Wooow🥺🥺

Q: When did you start writing on wattpad?

A: Just last year oh. I used to write on one website (Quotev) before. But ever since I discovered wattpad, it's been my home.

C: Ohhh Okayy. I've heard of that website.

Q: How many books have you published?

A: Just one on Wattpad. 😂 I had like 3 published on Quotev but they're all incompleted/abandoned projects.

But in my primary 5, my mum published one of my works in paperback. The book's title is The Price Of Evil. It counts as my first published book and low key qualifies me as a published author. 😊

C: Awww...so cool.

Q: Your first ever story?

A: I can still remember it. 😂😂😂 Till today, it doesn't have a title but I wrote it in my primary 4 with my best friend. 😂 I can't really recall the storyline, but it was Nigerian based and the mc was a man. 💀

C: Ohhh cool😂

Q: Your favorite story out of all the stories you've written.

A: Hmm.
I would like to say that it was this werewolf book I was writing when I was in secondary school. I loved it cause of the mc, she was so amusing to write.

But then, Signed, Karma (my current book) takes the cake for now. I love the plot and the characters. I can't wait to show everyone what I have in store for them.

Q: Next question: Your book(s) - what inspired them?

A: This is actually a difficult question for me. I'll thank God first cause He's the centre of my existence and inspiration.

For my books and genre that I write, I'm inspired mostly by my obsession with murder, crime and mysteries. I keep wondering if I can carry out the perfect crime and that's what inspires most of my stories. The constant thought on if I can actually get away with murder.  So to test out my theories, I write about it.

But when it comes more light hearted genres, I'm inspired by my emotions. Certain emotions on certain topics or events lead me to writing. If I feel lonely, I'll definitely write a book about it but with a twist, of course. If I'm angry about the events in Nigeria, I'll draw my inspiration from that and write. Most times, I do this as a a way of creating awareness and bringing light to these topics.

In summary, I'm inspired by murder cases, my emotions and God. Dazzit!

Q: Okay!😌 Your favorite character in any of your books and which of them do you love the most? Who can you relate with most?

A: My favorite character in my current book is my most hated character, Denola Coker. I love that boy so much and if you ask me why, I wouldn't be able to give you a direct answer. I've always loved flawed characters and Denola hits the jackpot when it comes to that. Maybe deep down, a part of me identifies with something within him.

I don't think there's a particular character I relate with. A part of me is sprinkled in everyone tbh, especially when it comes to flaws. But I think my most relatable character is Ene Ogenyi. Her character sheds a bit of light on my personality and she literally embodies me. She is a hopeless romantic just like me and she has a contagious energy, like me. So many other things sha. But she's not my favorite though, Denola is. 🌝

Q: Next question: What do you hope to achieve through your writing?

A: I want to make a lot of money! 😌😂

Just joking. 🌝 Maybe. 😂😂

Okay, these days I've been considering pursuing writing as a full-time career. But then, the risks of that might be too scary for me to actually risk it. If I'm to go into that, I'll obviously want the money and dollar bills, baby. (Siri, play me Money by Lalisa.)

Asides from that, I don't think there's a grand goal that I want to achieve through writing. I'd be pleased to know that at least one person out there reads my work and genuinely enjoys it, and maybe even learns a thing or two from it. I just want people to be able to read my work and smile, and be able to identify with the characters and events in the story. I want my book to be able to make at least one person feel understood.

C: 😂😂😂 ✨✨ okayy.

Q: Do you have any favorite Writers on wattpad and non-wattpad writers? Why'd you like them?

A: Yes, I do!

Sadly, I'm not an avid reader and that means that I haven't read a lot of books on Wattpad. But my favorite Wattpad writer is my baby Dheenmah, the author of the Golden series. That girl writes fire! Her writing style is out of this world and I can't read a single paragraph from her without falling in love with her writing all over again.

Then outside Wattpad, I admire Chimamanda Adichie's writing style. I'm not sure I can call her my favorites but I love the way she writes so effortlessly and perfectly.

Q: How do you cope with writer's block?

A: Have I mentioned that I had writer's block for 5 months plus. 😂💀 I ghosted my book for almost a year.

Honestly, it took God's intervention to get me out of that shit hole. 💀 I worked through it by praying, reading books specifically in my genre. I took a break and I reread my book to regain perspective on the storyline. I returned to the particular chapter/part that held me and deleted the entire scene. This really helped cause when I tried it again from a different angle, it began to click and everything else fell into place eventually.

It really took a while sha.

C: Okayy. . .

Next Questions are random and anyone you feel is to personal, you can leave it out.

Q: Where do/did you school and what course are/did you currently studying/study?

A: Currently, I'm in Bingham University, also in Abuja. Studying Physiology. 😊

Q: Would you rather have tea or coffee?

A: 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Tea or coffee keh.
I honestly don't like coffee, and tea has been over taken by me in the past, so I don't really like it anymore. But in comparison to coffee, I'll go for tea. 💀

Q: Favorite food

A: I don't think I have again oh. 😂💀 I like so many meals, especially those cooked by my mum. Specifically, I just love meat - anything related to meat; I love it! I love spicy chicken wings. Get me like a bucket and I'll understand that you like me and want us to get married, and I'll see to it.

C: LMAOOO 😂😂😂😂

Q: Favorite Song(s) and Musician(s)

A: Ouuuu!!!
I love music and I love so many artistes. But my preferences tend to keep changing, so currently my two favorite songs are Outside by Buju and Chosen by Blxst.

My favorite artistes are so many, I might even miss a few. I love Burna boy, Tems, Ayra Starr, etc. I also love Labrynth, Doja Cat, Tate McRae, Lil Nas x and Blackbear.

Q: Other Hobbies

A: When I'm not writing, I'm too busy simping to fine boys on TikTok. 💀

Or when I'm not doing that, I'm designing graphics, editing pictures/videos, watching a movie or watching weird YouTube videos. I love YouTube.

And oh, making Snapchat videos.

Q: If you had the power to change one thing about the world right now, what would it be?

A: Honestly, if I had the power to change anything, I'll make sure that the sacrifices of those who died for Nigeria would not be in vain. It's so triggering for me whenever I hear stories of what happened in Lekki Toll gate last year and it makes my heart bleed. It's just so much to take in and if I could change anything, I would, by all means, make sure that their sacrifices won't be in vain.

Q: What do you have to say to upcoming writers out there?

A: Ewey. 😂😂😂

Okay, let me get my words together.

I would have spoken about 'not giving up' but then, I'm sure they've heard that before. So, I'll just say something else.

As a writer, you should know your strength and weaknesses. Some writers are very good at dialogues but their descriptions might just be an average. Some are good at descriptions but their dialogues are just okay. If you're good at both, good for you. My point is that you should understand your writing style and embody it. Know what you're exceptional at and use it to it's full potential. Everyone's gifted differently and it's almost impossible to copy someone else's writing style. You can learn a thing or two from others but you can never fully recreate their style of writing. It's something that comes naturally and differently to all of us.

Focus on what you can do best and use it to it's peak. If your strength lies in your dialogues, make sure you're doing justice to it. If it's in descriptions, then give us something to remember.

Nonetheless, you shouldn't leave your weaknesses lying bare. You should work on them, at least to an average and even more if you're getting better.

Just remember that great writers are not born in a day or even a year, sometimes it takes a lifetime for some people. You shouldn't be in a haste to have it all figured out, it takes time and patience. Most of all, you should love what you do. That's the point of writing.

C: Thank you so much for taking this interview🥺❤️❤️  And btw, I think you're really beautiful.

C: Ewey. 😂😂
Thank you, love.

I enjoyed having this interview with you. ❤️

C: You're welcome😊😊
