So, We Move!

🔸🔸🔸

Q: Full name

A: Summer Rain is my Wattpad name.

Q: Nickname/pen name/pseudonym

A: Summer Rain

Q: Age/ Birthdate.

A:Rather not say

Q:Nationality and state of Origin

A:Rather not say

Q: Where do you stay?

A: Rather not say

Q:When did you start writing in general?

A:I began writing when I was about six years old. I have always enjoyed writing so much, even when I was very little. A story of mine actually won a medal for a school competition when I was six, and that was a really meaningful thing to happen for me at such a young age. It inspired me to write even more.

Q:Why do you write?

A: Writing is an escape for me. When you write, you can make literally anything happen, unlike in the real world where we're limited by well, reality. The fun thing about writing though is that you can use it to impact reality. It can change lives, inspire people, and make such a huge difference in the world.

Q:When did you start writing on wattpad?

A:I actually have been on Wattpad since 2017, however the first account I had has long since been closed. I had quite a few books up on my old account that I put up in January 2018.

Q:How many books have you published?

A: I have only published one story so far, but I plan to release much more content in the future.

Q:Your first ever story?

A: I actually cannot remember the first story I ever wrote, because I was so young when I wrote it. I think it was about a girl going on an adventure or something though.

Q:How many books on wattpad?

A: I have four books on Wattpad but only one of them is a story. That story is The Summer We Turned Thirteen. I also have a book for spotlighting fan art that my readers have created for the The Summer We Turned Thirteen. I also have a Positive Quotes book as well as an anti-suicide book up on my account.

Q:Your favorite story out of all the stories you've written.

A: Currently, I'd have to say The Summer We Turned Thirteen! It's my first-ever novel, and I absolutely love how it turned out.

Q:Your book - what inspired it?

A: The Summer We Turned Thirteen kind of came out of nowhere, but it was also subconsciously inspired by many different things. By that I mean, I didn't try to come up with the story at all; it just came to me and once I started writing it, it kind of wrote itself. Once I got into the story though, the messages of the book, and the goal for it to capture the struggles of growing up in a realistic, but innocent way was definitely deliberate.

The subconscious inspiration for the novel came in when it came to factors like growing up in a small suburban town, because I myself come from a small suburban town that was a lot like Winnington.

Q:Your favorite character in any of your books and which of them do you love the most? Who can you relate with most?

A: Harlee and James are honestly my favorite (published) characters I have created so far. I really can't choose between the two of them when it comes to a favorite, because I love both of them for different reasons.

I love Harlee, because she is bold, strong, unabashed, and one-hundred percent herself, but she is also kind, compassionate, and always looking out for the underdog. She doesn't use her leadership skills to pick on or hurt others but rather to help and inspire them.

She's also pretty reckless and an avid rule-breaker, and her trouble-making ways never fail to make me laugh. However she and I couldn't be any more different.

I relate way more to James than I ever could to Harlee. He is the opposite of Harlee: quiet, soft-spoken, introverted, and always coloring within the lines. However once you get him of his shell, you realize, he is creative, sarcastic, and can even be a bit sassy.

I relate to James' imaginitive mind and introverted nature. And James and I are also very sensitive souls. I think that's probably the main reason why I'll always have a special place in my heart for his sweet character.

Q: What inspires you to write?

A: The ability to create my own world in any way I want is what inspires me. The chance to craft characters and stories that people can relate to, grow with, learn from, and laugh with means everything to me.

It's a God-given gift to be able to write, and I couldn't be more grateful to Him for giving me the ability.

Q: What do you hope to achieve through your writing?

A: I want people to be able to look at my stories and my characters, and say,

"I've been there," and "I know exactly how that feels."

I want them to be able to look up to my character and also grow with them as characters just like people are flawed.

I want people to see the things my characters go through and realize they are not alone.

More than anything, I want my stories and characters to motivate people to live life to the fullest and be the very best that they can be.

Q: Do you have any favorite Writers on wattpad and non-wattpad writers? Why'd you like them?

A: Funnily enough, I used to be such an avid reader, but for the past few years it's mostly been just writing rather than reading for me.

However I do remember reading two stories by @kario12 She is an amazing Wattpad writer.

She wrote two amazing books that I thoroughly enjoyed when I read them a while back.

Q:Any favorite wattpad books and non-wattpad books?

A: The last time I did read a Wattpad book that I enjoyed so much I would shout it out was way back in 2017.

It was is called Porcelain Skin by @kario12

A favorite non-wattpad book of mine would be Better Than The Movies by Lynn Painter.

Q: How do you cope with writer's block?

One thing that helps me with writer's block is probably a cliche thing to say, it really does help to take your mind off writing.
I find that anytime I try to force writing, it never works for me. It always just has to flow naturally.

RANDOM QUESTIONS. . .

Q:Where do/did you school and what course are/did you currently studying/study?

A: N/A

Q: Would you rather have tea or coffee?

I don't really like coffee that much but if it's paired with chocolate and lots of dairy, I love it, so I'd have to say coffee.

Q: Favorite food

A: Ice cream, especially cookies and cream ice cream

Q: Favorite Song(s) and Musician(s)

A: What am I by Why Don't We is currently my favorite song, and it has been for a while. I never skip it when it comes up on my playlist. It's so romantic and beautiful and if you haven't listened to it you seriously should. My favorite musicians are the boy band Why Don't We and girl band Cimorelli.

Q: Other Hobbies

A: Song-writing, playing guitar and piano, and learning new languages are three of my other favorite hobbies other than story-writing.

Q: If you had the power to change one thing about the world right now, what would it be?

A: I would make every single person on earth as empathetic and kind as possible, so people would stop being so cruel to each other.

Q: What do you have to say to upcoming writers out there?

A:

>Write a story that you yourself would enjoy. Of course, we all want people to like our work, but at the end of the day, it should be something that you yourself would feel proud of. It should be something that you feel happy to have created.

> Write characters that feel like real people. Give them flaws, quirks, struggles, etc. Characters are people, you guys. They're people on paper. So they should feel like real human beings.

> Attach meaning to your work. Whether it's as simple as wanting to make people laugh, or as grand as wanting your writing to start a revolution, you should always have some sort of goal in mind.

Thank you so much for wanting to interview me!

C: Always a pleasure Summer. I'm glad you answered all my questions too!☺️☺️☺️😊😊😊

Apart from writing on wattpad, she is also the founder of the Strong Girls Club (SGC)stronggirlsclub here on wattpad and that foundation has helped a lot of girls out there and it has in some way, inspired me too. If you're looking to join this foundation, you can search for strong girls club, here on wattpad and also follow the link in their bio for the website.
