Author's note

I'd like to apologize to all people who have been waiting for release for Yumekkum's debut. I thought I will have everything done and I'll just publish all lyrics & interviews on March 3rd. But I didn't have much inspiration + I accidentaly deleted one of my finished interviews from Wattpad and I didn't save it anywhere else, I'm stupid. Anyways thanks for patience and finally enjoy all Yumekkum's "videos" even they should be released earlier. Thank you for waiting.

The 1st track: The cursed crown

이채원: Hello, my name is Lee Chaewon, I am the leader of Rêveurs Entertainment and one of the lyricists for Yumekkum's first mini-album called Emerald.

I wanted to bring some story into this album, so we were discussing with the girls a lot to create a meaningful storyline. Every track is connected with the others, the lyrics are like one story, but written by many people. The music video also shows part of the storyline visually. I'm glad all members did something - some helped with the composing, some wrote lyrics...

But back to the song. It was supposed to be the start of the storyline, so I wanted every listener to like the song and also listen to others, so he or she will know the whole story of this album. Me and Choi Nayoung, the composer, maked a song the girls enjoyed, so we are hoping you will enjoy it too!

최나영: Please, give a listen to other tracks as well, the girls did a great job.

The 2nd track: Way to heaven

이혜빈: Hi, I am Lee Hyebin from Yumekkum. I am here with Murata Rieko, we composed "Way to heaven" together.

村田 理恵子: And Hyebin also wrote the lyrics for this song. I think this song is really meaningful, but Hyebin is the author, so she should speak about it.

이혜빈: This song is about strong friendship between the members. We trained together for a long time and then debuted also together. I'm the oldest member, so I sometimes feel as a mom of all of them. I am trying to help them or just cheer them up when they need it. Of course I noticed the members are extremly close to each other, so I thought it would be a great idea to create a song about it, because it isn't fictional story, it is from real life.

村田 理恵子: As Hyebin said, the friendships between us are really deep, I agree with her. Because the song has meaningful lyrics, we created a slower and calmer song as The cursed crown. It isn't a ballad, but I think when the song isn't about loud instrumental, it highlights the lyrics, and  that was our goal.

The 3rd track - Taking me back

윤은지: Hello everyone, I'm Yoon Eunji, the lyricist for song "Taking me back" by Yumekkum.

최나영: And I'm called Choi Nayoung, I composed this song.

윤은지: I wrote "Taking me back" about a new journey, so I asked Nayoung to compose something very unexpected and different from the other tracks on the album. In the storyline, after our deaths, someone is taking us back to the world we lived in before. It's a song which is mostly rapped, but I know that not all of us can rap, so they are some vocal parts too.

최나영: I used many instruments to create an instrumental that would fit Eunji's imagination, because it is important to have instrumental that would fit the lyrics.

The 4th track - Ballad of flying spirits

西村 房子: Hello everyone, I am Nishimura Fusako. I wrote and composed a song for my group Yumekkum. It's called "Ballad of flying spirits".

Eunji wrote a song how we were been taken back into the human world as a spirits, so I thought it would be a good idea to wrote a song that would express how unhappy we are and how much we want to destroy the evil crown. The song is a ballad, so it highlights our vocals, especially Rieko's, because she's our main vocalist.

"Way to heaven" is composed by Hyebin and Rieko, and they wanted to highlight the deep meaning of the lyrics. I wanted to do something similar, so maybe our fans will think that the songs are sisters. Yeah, I also think they are similar in some things. Rieko and Hyebin used piano, so did I. But I hope you will like both songs - or maybe the whole album!

The 5th track - Together forever

野口いつみ: Hello, we are Itsumi and Yubin from Yumekkum. We are here with Choi Nayoung. All of us created a song called "Together forever".

최나영: The girls wanted to bring some nostalgic feelings to the song, so it isn't very difficult instrumental. And there are some instruments that highlight some keywords of the song.

박유빈: The lyrics are about friendship of us, which developed a lot through our training. Maybe the meaning isn't that visible, but we still hope that our fans can find it in the lyrics!
