Wataru's POV:

"Sigh..."

Class is about to start, when I saw Takeru on his seat, glancing at the window...

"I might not be concerned with your problem but...can you tell me anyway?" I usually won't give advice to Daisuke, or any of my friends. Even Takeru, since he's the rival of my idol Yumika. But today perhaps is an exception.

"Well, Yumika asked me yesterday to join a school club." Takeru reveals to me while holds some club registration papers. "And she wants me that I should registered to one by the end of the day."

"Oh, dude. Here it comes." I started to warn him. "Whenever Yumi-chan challenges someone like this, she really means it. If someone fails on her challenge, there would be consequences."

I could barely hear Takeru gulping his throat while saying this. This is the first time the he is quite uneasy for some simple thing such as this. I know that he always accompanies Yumika on her way to school and back, so I won't help him and tell that to Yumi-chan...aaargh! My reputation to my idol will be ruined! Sigh, I have no choice.

"Don't you worry though. I'll be helping you make a choice!" I motivated him. "I'll tag along someone who I'm sure will never fail to recruit someone to a club."

Good thing that I remember that Yumika's friend Ami is very good in recruiting members to her disciplinary committee. So I walked toward her, sitting on her desk, and whispered.

"Hey, Ami. Can you gave me favor?"

"Hmm...remember what you need to buy for me in return?" Ami grins on me and make a bribe offer.

"Sigh...buy you an ice cream after class? Alright." 

"Hehehe! Thanks! So, what assistance can I give you?" Ami stands up from her desk and asked me.

"Well, actually...it's Takeru that needs your help. Yumika challenges him to join the club before the end of the day."

"Oooh! So it's Takeru who will buy ice cream for me later. Hehehe!" Ami boasts while glaring at Takeru. "Alright, Wataru. You're off the hook for now."

Takeru's POV:

It's lunch break, and I'm still confused on which club can I join, not to mention the pressure my neighbor friend Yumika on me. As I glance towards the window thinking about my next move, I saw from the reflection of Wataru and Ami walking towards me.

"Takeruuu...you need to buy me an ice cre-"

"Hey, shut it!" Wataru covers Ami's mouth before she finished speaking. "Takeru, we'll help you find a club that's perfect for your needs. But we need to be quick, Ami has some errands to do on the disciplinary committee."

"Oh! Speaking of which, how about you come with me and try our club." She then took my hand and dragged me outside the classroom and towards her club."

"Hey! No fair! I should be suggesting a club first!" I heard Wataru complaining behind us.

Ami's clubroom is not far from our classroom. It was a simple room with lockers and tables with lots of documents at top of it.

"Hey, Takato! We have a potential new member of the club here!" Ami then calls her clubmate.

"Oh! Welcome, dude!" Takato shakes my hand just as Ami let go of me. "You'll have a bright future in this club."

"Right, I wouldn't be bragging you but the disciplinary committee is closer to the school administration than the student council." Ami orients the club to me. "We're the ones who implements the school rules and regulation, and from the name of our club...we discipline some troublemakers! Hehehe!"

"One question though, how DO you discipline them?" I dared to ask them...perhaps one key to entering this club. Well, I can join this club.

"Hmm...everyone who violates the rules and regulations of this school will face detention until the end of the class, with a retraining seminar that will last the next day! Hahaha!"

Ami's striking answer makes me gulp my throat. Yes, I've been bullied and rejected by my classmates back on my place, but I'm not in a mood to take revenge on others by taking some random bullies to detention. I'm not that psychopath.

"Umm...I might get a second thought about it." I shyly smiled at Amy and rejected their offer.

"Oh, bummer." Amy scratched her head in embarrassment. "Well, I tried. If you change your mind, the disciplinary committee is always open. Thank you for coming!"

"Hey, hey, hey! You're not done with your mission yet!" Wataru reprimanded her. "If you won't help Takeru find a club, you won't get the ice cream that you deserve!"

"Oh, right. The ice cream!" Ami snapped in her senses. "So it's your turn, Wataru. What club would you suggest?"

"Hmm...how about...the sports club?" Wataru makes a suggestion as walk out of Ami's clubroom. "You can really show your talents in one go, and didn't I tell you that Hikari is in that club?"

"WHAT?!?!" Ami seems shocked with my revelation. "Mmm...she supposed to be with my club!"

"Well, it's her choice. You can't force her."

"Alright, fine. Let's go there, Takeru!"

Ami's POV:

Once again, I dragged Takeru down the hallway, and into the bridgeway that connects the school building to our gym, where the sports club is located. Immediately, Hikari saw us coming and come running towards us.

"Oh! Takeru! Ami! What brings you here?"

"Yumika wants Takeru to join a club before the end of the day. So Wataru and I helps him to find one." Then I pouted at my friend. "And why didn't you tell me that you joined the sports club? Hmph!"

"Oh So-sorry, sis! Ehehehe..." Hikari giggles shyly. "I've been wanting to join this club ever since elementary. I didn't tell you because I know that you will just drag me on your club."

"Hmmm..." I just keep pouting at her before I made our intention. "So...will Takeru qualify for the club?"

"Well, if he wants to join the sports club, he needs to perform in our very simple qualifying examination, a 100 meter sprint."

"Oh, that's pretty easy for you. Right, Takeru?" Wataru encourages his friend. "You should be able to pass this test, right?"

"Yes, you can, Takeru!" Hikari encourages him too. "You just need to meet our minimum time or beat our best runners in our club. Not only that, if you you succeed on both requirements, you can already be part of our starting team will participate on the regional competitions which will be...in four weeks time!"

"Come on, Takeru! Why don't you give this a try?" All three of us say the same thing.

"Yeah, besides. You'll be able to meet Yumika's challenge." Wataru adds.

Takeru thinked for a little bit before he simply nodded. He wants to try to join the school club.

"Great! I'll take you to our clubhouse right now!"

Wataru and I just laughed as we see Takeru being dragged by Hikari to their sports club. With that proper stature he has, I'm so sure that he will at least meet the required time to enter the club. I'm counting on you, Takeru.

Takeru's POV:

Sigh...well, I've tried.

I may have some athletic ability, but I've never joined any club. I should be part of the sports club, but I'm one second too late of the minimum time.

Sigh...I'm so exhausted that I can't even have the energy to apply for other clubs. When I meet with Yumika in the classroom, I should prepare for the worst, just like what Wataru warned me...sigh...huh?

I'm already here in the classroom to meet her...but she is not here. My friends and Yumika's are already gone home, so I need to check her on the student council room.

I peeked into the room, and I saw Yumika just banging her head at the desk, which has a lot of documents beside her. She is the student council president, after all; she needs to work for the betterment of our schoolmates.

I feel sorry for her because of her work...not to mention that I can't even have a club to join...huh?

Oh! I see in the nearby bulletin board that the student council has an opening for any volunteers to help with the council. That's it! I know where I can join!

Yumika's POV:

Uuugh...I can't do it.

Today, the council has receives an unexpectedly huge amount of documents for club accreditation. And the worse part of it is these documents were sent just as I'm about  to go home and check on Takeru about joining a club!

I guess he had gone home ahead of me...while I getting stuffed with papers...argh...huh?

Just as I lay my head on the desk to take a nap, I saw a application form in front of me. Yeah, I remember, there's a vacancy for the student council. Good timing, I need a helping hand for these papers.

"Oh! Hello, thank you for applying in the Student Coun-woah! Ta-takeru-kun?!"

I didn't expected that my neighbor friend applied for the council.

"Wha-what are you doing here?!" I asked him while I read his application. "Are you done about my challenge to you?!"

"Oh! About that...ehehehe..." Takeru scratched his head in embarrassment. "I haven't join a club...until I saw you here in the room getting overwhelmed by papers. So I try to enter the student council. Sorry for that."

"Hu-huh? Why are you apologizing? Hehehe!" I giggled at him. "I didn't expected to join this club, that's all. So...are you good enough for the position?"

"Sure! As a matter a fact, I was once a representative of the student council back in my place."

"Hehehe! I see...let me interview you for the position you wanted to apply..."
