Takeru's POV:

"Stand! Bow!"

"Good morning, sensei!" All of us in Class 2-A stood up from their seats and greeted our homeroom teacher with respect. She then gestures us to sit down.

"Good morning, class. Let me introduce myself. My name is Yukari Sekiya and I would be your homeroom teacher and class adviser for this year. I hope I could get along with you and may your study here will be fruitful."

After her warm smile to us, Yukari-sensei writes her name on the board...as small conversations began. I don't know what exactly my seatmates are talking about but...it seems that Yukari-sensei is already making a good impression to them.

"Class, I want to know each and all of you...so can you please stand up one by one and tell your name and age? That's one way that I could acquaint you."

And with Yukari-sensei's order, we stand up from our seats and introduced ourselves

"Wataru Komiya, 17 years old, pleasure to meet you."

"Daisuke Tachibana, 17 years old."

"Ami Kato, 16 years old, nice to meet you all."

"Hikari Takanashi, 16 years old, you could just call me Kari-chan."

"Takeru Hayashi, 16 years old, happy to meet you all."

"My name si Yumika Himeno, 16 years old, you could call me Yumi-chan for short, I'm glad to meet you all."

"KYAAAA!!!!" Suddenly, the whole classroom is filled with cheers and jeers. Perhaps, that lady is very popular in this school. Wait a minute, is that the lady that I've met last weekend?!

"Well...that's my idol!" Wataru exclaims later as we have our break. "She is considered to be the most beautiful in our batch...her looks and physique makes her qualify in beauty pageants here in Kanagawa City or elsewhere...unfortunately, Yumi-chan is seemingly not interested to do so. But men...if she did, she can make it to the nationals!"

"Also...Yumika-san is very popular in Kanagawa because she helps everybody not only here in class...but also with other people." Daisuke adds as we saw Yumika helping other students in their assignments. "Every weekends, you could see here bicycling around downtown, helping the elderly cleaning their homes, exercising with kids, working part-time at some fast food stations and retrieving lost items...since she literally knows every streets and corners of Kanagawa. And now that she is the student council president, I'm always looking up to her."

"And most of all, Yumi-chan is the most intelligent student of Hoshizora Academy." Finally, Wataru boasts about her idol. "Almost all the subjects, she can get even a perfect score! Even math equations...it's just a piece of cake!"

Wow...Yumika is more than just a kind, jolly and helping lady...she's everything! Even I can pay the debt that I owe to her for bringing the lost luggage home...that's not even enough!

"Hey! By the way, guys. Can you help me with basketball?" Then Daisuke's plea stops me from thinking any further about Yumika. "I need some people to back me up with my game this coming weekend."

"Oh! We do!"

Yumika's POV:

"...huff...huff...at last."

After minutes of helping my classmates in dealing with their own homework...I had finally have some time to have lunch with my friends.

"Finally, I have made all of my classmates' assignments. I hope there's nothing more." I feel so exhausted as I sit back down with my classmates.

"Well, there's nothing you can do, sis. You're popular here." Ami comments. "But you should sometimes decline to their offers...you know, to learn to they should also rely on their own sometimes."

"You know...that's not a bad idea...I want to have some time with you guys. I'm always secured when you're around."

"Aww...that's so nice, Yumi-chan. Thank you, sis. Hehehe!" Hikari smiles and reacts on my statement. "Oh...by the way, Yumi-chan. What did you say about your trip last month?'

"Oh, yes! There's a beautiful beaches in a nearby town, sis. There are so beautiful that you can make a backdrop for your vacation photos!"

"Really?! Tell me! Tell me!"

Takeru's POV:

Well, there's nothing special in this first day of classes. Teacher Yukari have only discussed some class orientations and what subjects should we expect throughout the school year...well, for a star student like me...it's a bit boring...ehehehe...

"Stand! Bow!"

"See you tomorrow, Yukari-sensei!"

"Thanks, class. Take care and I'll see you all tomorrow." Yukari-sensei bids us farewell as she leaves the room along with other classmates

"We'll go ahead, bro." Then, Wataru and Daisuke follows. "We'll wait for you downstairs, okay?"

"Okay. Thanks."

Then I was left alone in the room, packing up my things and preparing to go home. I looked around and I saw a young lady behind me, also packing her things...but hurriedly.

Moments later, she run towards the door but...her bag strap then gets hooked at the table side. She struggles to cling off for a bit...and she able to set it free...in expense that something broke off. Well, since my bag's already set when it happens so...I can get it and return to her.

But long before I could get down and find that something...

"Whaaaa!"

"Umph! Ow!!!" I was suddenly slipped and fell with my bottom hard...dang it! It hurts so bad!

It took a minute to recompose myself...and there I find...two small little bird plushies...which actually are the ones which I stepped on and slipped..and now it's already soiled. Nevertheless, it is perhaps the keychain from the lady that left ahead of me.

"Will I make it on time?" I thought to myself as I stand up and leave the room to find the lady who have lost these keychains. With my bag's already attached to my back, I hurriedly take the stairs into the locker...and there I saw a lady with a long hair and wears a pink jacket...while wearing her sneakers. 

"Umm...excuse me, milady. Is these keychains yours?"

"Yup...that's mine." She quickly takes the keychains...but when she realizes that it is soiled by my shoes. "And why it is dirty, hmmm?!?!"

I realize that keychains belong to Yumika, but she looks at me with his dared and pissed eyes. I can't speak about my side of the story...as if her atmosphere is restraining me...I'm sweating and I can't move out of fear...the only thing that I could do is make a gulp...but then...

"Hehehe! I'm just messing with you. Thanks for returning my lucky charm! Hehehe!!!" She confesses and giggled at me.

"Yumi-chan! Come here! Let's go home!"

"Okaaay!" Yumika responded happily, then turns back at me. "Alright, I should get going. I'll see you tomorrow!"

As Yumika goes out with her friends, I looked out and saw Daisuke and Wataru...waiting for me. I quickly run towards them and walk home together.

There are so many random things that we've talk on our way home...including basketball that Daisuke plays, online computer games which is Wataru's favorites...and any other things that usually boys could talk about. I guess there's no need to tell it one by one, do I?

"Takeru! Our home is this way! Let see each other tomorrow, okay?" Then, it's time for me and my friends to part ways for the night.

"Okay! Take care!"

As Wataru and Daisuke walks away from me in the other direction, I suddenly felt a strange loneliness...as if it tells me that I'm going back to a miserable life. In school, I have some friends to start my life here in Kanagawa...but once I leave my student life...I'm beginning to isolate myself again to the rest of the world...just like back when I was in town...sigh...huh?

I saw a lady with a long hair from earlier when I return the keychains, and wears a pink jacket and her pink sneakers. I realize that she is Yumika, standing in front of me, and it seems that she is waiting for me.

"Can I accompany you on your way home? Hehehe!"

Yumika's POV

My friends are already walked different ways to our home, so I walked my way to mine. Perhaps, I can pay a visit to Takeru's home so I can finally thank them for tendering me. Hmm...perhaps, I don't need it either.

I turned around and saw Takeru, walking alone. Perhaps, it is the right time to help him.

"Can I accompany you on your way home? Hehehe!"

Takeru moves closer towards me and smiled at me.

"Thanks." He gratefully accepted my offer. "Here, let me take your bicycle for you."

"Hehehe! Thanks!" I giggled in reply. "By the way, thank you for everything."

"Hmm? What for?"

"For taking care of me when I fainted...and for finding my fluffy bird keychains, remember?" I winked back at him.

"Oh, yeah. You're welcome. I didn't think that I will see you as my classmate."

"That's my line! Hehehe! Oh! I forgot to introduce myself to you." 

"Huh? Why do you need to do that? I already know your name." Takeru makes an "educated guess". "Your name is Yumika-san, right?"

"Well, yeah. But we have met way before the school starts and I forgot to tell my name on the first time we've met. Besides, I'm your first friend on the city, right?"

I giggled as I walked in front of Takeru. And with my hand on my chest, I introduce myself.

"My name is Yumika Himeno. I'm a sixteen-year old, second-year senior high school student in Hoshizora Academy. I'm also the president of the student council. And since you're my friend, you can call me Yumi-chan. Nice to meet you! Hehehe!"

I walked back beside Takeru and looked at him.

"Okay, it's your turn to introduce yourself."

My smile somehow make Takeru blush. But he manages to say his name anyway.

"My name is Takeru Hayashi. Nice to meet you."

"Hehehe. I can't blame you."

As we continue our walk back to the apartments, Takeru asked me.

 "By the way, where is your home, Yumi-chan?"

"Well...in a apartment room...just above your apartment." I finally revealed my secret to him.

"Oh. I see...my home is just near from yo-whaaa!!! You're my neighbor?!"
