Alex POV

Since I was a kid I always wanted to be a hero, I always dreamed to save everyone who is in danger, just like my idol, the Flash

Whenever there's someone in trouble he runs in and saves everyone in a matter of seconds! Ok you got me...I'm a fanboy. Better if we start over: my name is Alexander West-Allen, but you can call me Alex, I am 15. I have a big beautiful family: my dad is Bartholomiew "Barry" Allen, he works in the forentics of the CCPD, he is a protective, loving, genious and caring dad.

My mom is Iris West-Allen, she initially worked in the journal, then she started to lead her personal blog, the Central City Citizen. She is strong, caring, brave and loving, a real mother

Well, I said they're my parents, but actually they're my step-parents: my mother died after giving birth to me and my father died in misterious circumstances when I was only 2 years old, I intent to find out what happened to him.

And then there's my grandfather, police chief Joseph "Joe" West

and his sweet half, Cecile Horton

They're two of the best people I know, I can always talk to them when I have a problem, I really love them.

Then there are my dad's friends: uncle Cisco Ramon

and auntie Caitlin Snow

They're really funny, especially Cisco, he always makes me laugh! Auntie Caity helps me with science, and we often look at the stars together with the telescope.

And then, there is her...

Nora West-Allen, my step-sister, and...m-my...my crush since we were 6, here...I said it. I know that she is kinda my sister, but I can't do much about it. I still remember when I fell in love for her, but to fully understand my story we have to go back when we were 4.

Flashback

It was early in the morning, me and Nora got up and went to our parents' room to wake them up

Alex/Nora: "Mom, dad, wake up!"

Iris: " *yawn* What is it kids?"

Alex: "We have to take our quirk test!"

Nora: "So get up!"

Alex/Nora: "We're too excited!"

Barry: "Alright, kids. Go get dressed and we're gonna prepare some breakfast, then we'll go take your tests, ok?"

Alex/Nora: "Yes!"

We went to get washed and dressed and we went to the kitchen.

Iris: "So you're very excited for today, aren't you?"

Alex/Nora: "Of course!"

Barry: "Look, kids...I know you're excited and we are too. We just wanted to let you know that no matter what happens, we will always be here for you."

We hugged tightly and after eating we got into the car. Me and Nora started to imagine what it would've been like saving everyone just like the Flash, and I, of course, brought my action figure of the scarlet speedster with me and started to play with it.

When we arrived at the doctor we greeted him, and he made us take blood and x-ray tests. Then he came to all of us and started speaking

Doctor: "Well, mr. and mrs. Allen, I have good news and bad news..."

Iris: "What do you mean?"

Doctor: "Do you want to hear the bad one or the good one first?"

Barry: "The good one first."

Doctor: "Well, your daughter Nora has a very special quirk: she's a meta-human and is able to run at super-speed."

Nora: "Just like the Flash?"

Doctor: "Yes, litte one, just like the Flash."

Nora: "Yeeeeess!"

Barry/Iris/Alex: "Congratulations Nora!"

We hugged her tightly, I was so happy for her

Iris: "Ehm...doctor, what's the bad news?"

Doctor: "I'm sorry, but...your son Alex has no quirk."

Right then my world shattered...I wanted to be like the Flash so bad for all my life, and right then I knew...I just couldn't.

Iris: "W-What?"

Barry: "How is that?"

Doctor: "Well, you see, I did a blood test to check if your kids were meta-humans, and from the results Nora is one of them, but not Alex, so I took an x-ray of his foot and I noticed the reason why he has no quirk: from all the heroes analisys we noticed that everyone of them has a single joint in their pinky toe. Both of your children have two joints, the difference is that the blood test showed that you daughter is a meta-human like the Flash, while in Alex's case none of the tests showed any signs of quirk, I am truly sorry."

My parents and Nora hugged and comforted me, they told me that everything was going to be alright. I really felt their love and care for me, in my bad luck, I was very lucky to have all of them.

Timeskip to 2 years later

Since that day everyone of my classmates started to bully me for being quirkless, even those who I used to call friends, but Nora never left my side: she always kept defending me from the bullies, and yet I just couldn't stop from thinking that maybe I was actually useless...

One day, while I was walking out of the school, I saw three guys near a tree that were beating two other boys, one of them had green hair. I couldn't just let them continue, so I stepped in

Alex: "L-leave them alone!"

???: "WHAT THE F**K DO YOU WANT, YOU LOSER???!!!"

Alex: "I want you to leave them alone, you idiots!"

???: "I'M GONNA BEAT THE S**T OUT OF YOU!!!"

I took a defensive stance and was ready to fight them, but the angry blonde one threw a big explosion in my face, so I fell down.

???: "You're just another useless quirkless loser. LEARN YOUR F***ING PLACE!!!"

He was gonna throw another one at me, but then he was thrown away by a yellow and purple streek, who revealed to be Nora using her speed.

Nora: "Three of you against one, what a bunch of cowards!"

???: "THE F**K DO YOU WANT???!!!"

Nora: "I want you to leave, NOW. Before I beat you up in less than 3 seconds!"

???: "Yo, Bakugou, I think it's better if we leave."

Bakugou: "YOU'RE KIDDING ME?! WE GO GET HER!!!"

Then Bakugou saw a teacher in the distance, so he said

Bakugou: "Tch...you're lucky there's a teacher, unless I would've kicked your ass..."

Nora: "Yeah sure, go before I report the three of you."

Bakugou: "Tch..."

Then he and his friends left and we helped the two boys, the green haired one then said with tears in his eyes

???: "Th-thank you..."

Nora: "It's no problem, you're lucky that Alex saw you two."

???: "S-so your n-name is Alex?"

Alex: "Yeah, actually it's Alexander, but everyone simply calls me Alex. What's yours?"

Izuku: "I-I-Izuku M-Midorya..."

Alex: "Who was that idiot, Midorya?"

Izuku: "It was Kacchan."

Nora: "Kacchan?"

Izuku: "Y-Y-Yeah, I-I call him like this, b-but his n-name is Katsuki Bakugou."

I saw him blushing like hell, I immediatelly thought he had a crush on Nora, and that made me uncomfortable, but I couldn't get why...

Alex: "Well, we were happy to help, but we must go: our parents are waiting for us."

Izuku: "O-Oh, I get it..."

Nora: "It was good to meet you, Midorya!"

Izuku: " *blushing mess* O-O-Oh th-th-thank y-you, N-N-N-Nora, i-it was good to m-meet you two too!"

Alex/Nora: " *waving* Bye, Midorya!"

Izuku: " *waving* B-Bye!"

That night I kept thinking about what happened, about what Bakugou told me

"You're just another useless quirkless loser."

As I was thinking about it I couldn't stop crying, but all of a sudden Nora came and sat beside me. I instinctively put my head on her lap and she started to caress my head. We stayed like that for a time that felt like infinite.

Flashback ends

That was the moment I fell in love with her.

Despite of being quirkless, I am really grateful of having a family like this.
