Third Person's P.O.V :-

Jungkook woke up to bright sunlight entering his bedroom through his massive glass windows.

He smile at the refreshing feeling and turned to pull Taehyung closer to him, only to grab empty air.

His eyes widened as he immediately sat up and looked around,"Taehyung?!" He called out and got down from the bed in a hurry.

Flashes of all those mornings, when he woke up just like this, without Taehyung within his arms, flowed through his mind.

He took a sharp breath as he considered that Taehyung might have left him again. He clenched his eyes shut in frustrations,"Taehyung!!"

"Yes?"

Jungkook momentarily stopped breathing as he turned around to witness Taehyung stepping outside of the bathroom, in nothing but one of Jungkook's oversized white shirts and a wet fluffy white towel over his damp hair.

Taehyung looked at him curiously as he dried his hair,"Why were you yelling, Jungkook?" He asked cluelessly.

Relief flooded through Jungkook's entire body as he engulfed Taehyung in a tight hug within moments, knocking them both down on the floor.

"Ouch.." Taehyung gave a low hiss of pain after his ass, very much sore ass, made the sudden contact with the floor and slowly wrapped his arms around Jungkook who for some reason thought jumping over him was a good idea.

"For a second I thought you left me again..." Jungkook whispered sadly as he nuzzled his face in the crook of Taehyung's neck,"I was so paranoid..."

"But I'm here, right? Stop worrying I'm not going anywhere" Taehyung said as he rubbed Jungkook's back.

Jungkook leaned back and cradled his face and rubbed his thumbs over his cheeks,"Promise me that you'll never leave me again" Jungkook asked, his eyes shining with vulnerability.

"Promise me that you'll never leave my side no matter what"

Taehyung was speechless.

He held Jungkook's left hand which was cupping his right cheek and pulled him closer by the neck.

Their lips connected in a soft kiss as Jungkook's hands trailed down to hold Taehyung's waist.

Jungkook leaned forward pushing Taehyung down on the floor, who willingly laid down, not breaking the kiss.

Jungkook pulled away from the kiss and laid over Taehyung, bliss flowing through his veins.

"Jungkook..."

"Just let me lay here for a few minutes" Jungkook whispered back silencing Taehyung.

They spent a few quite moment in each other's arms, both going through their own internal struggles and getting lost in thoughts.

Jungkook let out a deep sigh before facing him again,"Can I kiss you some more?"

"No."

"What?" Jungkook asked wide eyed, startled by the sudden rejection.

"You stink of bad breath, go brush your teeth" Taehyung said and brushed back some of his dark bangs and gave a soft smile,"We can kiss after that"

Jungkook sighed in relief and looked down at Taehyung's soft smiling face with mock annoyance,"You gave me a little heart attack with that 'no', Tae" He huffed as he stood up

Taehyung sat up probably on the floor as Jungkook stepped away from him to head towards the bathroom.

"Tae?" Jungkook called out suddenly.

"Hmm?" Taehyung turned to look at Jungkook in answer.

"Wear something which will cover you up a bit more, you'll catch a cold like this" He said in concern.

"You don't like me like this?" Taehyung asked with a pout, tracing his long slender legs.

Jungkook blushed and looked away,"No...I like it, almost a little too much" He said and chuckled,"And that isn't a good news for you" He gave a sly wink.

Taehyung smirked and stood up, striding over to Jungkook in a lazy manner, he gently put his long delicate hands on Jungkook's chest,"Whether it's good news or bad..." He trailed off and leaned in to whisper in Jungkook's ear,"Let me decide that for myself" He whispered seductively and pushed away Jungkook, successfully shoving him inside the bathroom.

Jungkook stumbled backwards and fell down on the floor, he groaned from the impact,"Ouch.." He hissed out.

Taehyung grinned,"Careful, sweetheart, love can be painful" And this time Taehyung winked and shut the bathroom door on Jungkook's surprised face.

After having lunch, Jungkook was sitting on the couch of the living room, typing away on his laptop when Taehyung came walking towards him, clad in Jungkook's old bear PJs with a water bottle in his hand.

"I've been wondering, where are all of your maids and butlers?" Taehyung asked in a curious tone as he sat down beside Jungkook.

"I gave them three days' leave" Jungkook answered while he professionally typed away before finally putting the 'full stop' at the end of a sentence and turning towards Taehyung's curious face.

"So that we can have a little bit of privacy" He said and left a small peck on Taehyung's lips and went back to typing.

"Aren't you going to school?" Taehyung asked again making Jungkook chuckle.

"You also have school, why aren't you going?" Jungkook asked instead.

"I've got no books" Taehyung answered easily.

"And I've got no reason, so that's why"

"What are you typing?" Taehyung asked.

Jungkook started to laugh under his breath and shook his head in amusement before turning to face Taehyung with a hint of mirth in his eyes,"Why are you asking so many questions, today?"

Jungkook leaned towards Taehyung and brushed some of the hair behind his ear,"Not that I mind, you look adorable asking questions like that" He whispered as a soft smile lingered on his lips.

Taehyung's hand was quick to come and catch Jungkook's hand which was brushing back his hair while he stared at Jungkook intensely,"Don't change the topic, answer my question" He asked in a firm voice.

Jungkook was left breathless after he heard Taehyung's deep firm voice paired with those intense eyes,"Just a party invitation for one of my friends...?"

Taehyung blinked,"You do that type of stuff for your friends?" He asked curiously.

Jungkook laughed,"Yes, why wouldn't I?"

"No...it's just...you don't really give off that I-will-help-you-when-you're-trouble vibe..." Taehyung trailed off hesitantly.

Jungkook snickered and Taehyung caught a glimpse of his bunny teeth.

"Is that so? Well, I'm sorry to hear that, anyway, do you wanna attend this party?" He asked, hints of playfulness still present in his eyes.

"Party...?" Taehyung frowned,"I don't like crowded places so I've never attended one" He muttered under his breath as he leaned back on the couch.

"Seriously? You've never been to a party?" Jungkook asked finding it quite unbelievable,"That's hard to believe considering you once danced in a bar" He chimed.

"I wanted some raw cash, okay?" Taehyung said and pulled his knees to his chest,"And stop bringing that up, it was in the past" He pouted.

Something started to melt inside of Jungkook as he softly closed his laptop and turned to fully face Taehyung.

"Say Taehyung, do you wanna go out with me tonight? I can show you how a luxurious party looks like.." Jungkook licked his lips in anticipation of Taehyung's answer.

Out of nowhere, the atmosphere was getting intense.

"A-are you asking me on a date, Jungkook..?" Taehyung asked uncertainly.

"Is it a little weird to you?" Jungkook asked scooting a bit closer to where Taehyung sat.

"No, I...I'd love to go out with you but.." Taehyung trailed off making Jungkook intrigued

"But...?"

"I wish to attend one of those parties where people wear fancy masks and dance around" Taehyung whispered hoping Jungkook understood what he was trying to say.

"Oh, a masquerade ball" Jungkook caught on his hint and smiled,"You wanna attend one? I can take you to one" He beamed

Taehyung stared at him with big astonished eyes,"You really would?! I-tha-thank you.." He expressed his gratitude in an equally shocked manner.

"When do you wanna go?" Jungkook asked as he pulled the laptop back on his lap and opened it, searching around if a masquerade ball was being held that day.

"Any time is fine by me" Taehyung uttered as he leaned close to Jungkook, peeping to see what he was typing on the keyboard.

"There" Jungkook said as soon as he pressed the enter button and turned to Taehyung,"I've sent the request, the entry passes will arrive by 6, I hope"

Taehyung stared at him blankly,"I'm sorry but did you really type Jeon Jungkook and Jeon Taehyung, there?" He asked monotonously.

Jungkook smirked,"You like my fortunate telling skills, babe?" He grinned,"What do you say? Wanna get married?"

Taehyung shook his head at Jungkook's cheesy behaviour and got up from his seat,"Sometimes your jokes are too much-"

Jungkook suddenly grabbed Taehyung's wrist before he could even step away or finish his sentence and pulled him back down, startling him a little.

"Ju-Jungkook...?"

"I'm not joking though" Jungkook whispered, gazing deep into Taehyung's eyes,"After school is over, do you wanna get engaged? I have this bright future ahead of me, I'm sure I can keep you happy" He said and cupped Taehyung's face.

"I promise to give you every kind of happiness and share your feelings during good days and bad days, I'll always protect you" Jungkook spoke in a hushed tone.

Taehyung's eyes started to shake with disbelief,"Yo-you're ki-kidding right?"

"I'm not, baby" Jungkook caressed his cheek and pulled him closer into a gentle kiss,"I'm not" He whispered in the middle of the kiss.

After a slow and sloppy make out session on the couch, the laptop was long forgotten on the coffee table as Jungkook laid on the couch and Taehyung was sprawled over his chest, playing with their entangled fingers.

"I'll give you my answer tonight" Taehyung whispered softly against Jungkook's muscular chest.

Jungkook smiled and pulled their entangled fingers to his lips, kissing Taehyung's knuckles with fondness,"There's no rush, babe, take your time" He said in a soothing manner.

That night on their way to the masquerade ball, when Taehyung showed up in front of Jungkook in a red tuxedo with equally vibrant red hair, thanks to the dyeing spray, Jungkook stood up from his seat to receive him.

"You look stunning tonight" Was the only comment that slipped past through Jungkook's breathless lips as he acknowledged the fact, how well Taehyung was rocking that new colour.

"You look amazing as well" Taehyung mumbled under his breath as blood rushed to his cheeks.

How long had Jungkook dreamt of this scenario to take place and now that it was finally here, it felt surreal to him.

Jungkook slowly stretched out his arms towards Taehyung,"Shall we?" He asked gently.

"Sure" Taehyung smiled softly and grasped his arm.

Taehyung and Jungkook danced all night under the moonlight, face covered in expensive masks, arms wrapped around each other, swaying gently with the music as they rested their heads on each other's shoulders.

It felt like a dream to Jungkook, everything was so perfect, just the way he wanted his life to be.

He was beyond content with life.

He had a outstanding degree, a bright future and the love of his life in his arms.

Everything was pitch perfect.

And this was how Jungkook wanted the things to remain forever.

Both of them had a few drinks at the bar, with Taehyung strongly sticking to orange juices because he wasn't good with alcohol.

It was around midnight when Taehyung had sneakily whispered in his ear that the party was starting to get dull and that they should go somewhere else.

Within a few minutes Jungkook found himself in the passenger seat with Taehyung driving the car.

"Don't want you to get arrested for driving while being under the influence of alcohol" He had said.

Or so Jungkook vaguely remembered.

In the middle of the journey, he had drifted out of sleep and into sleep for how many times? He had no idea.

Jungkook felt a headache coming towards him as he groaned in pain.

"My head...hurts..." Jungkook said as his nose crunched up in dissatisfaction,"Baby, can you get me some medicines?" Jungkook whispered, barely audible.

"Of course" He heard Taehyung responding back.

Taehyung stopped the car as he was again back in the coastal areas of Gangneung.

But this time he had some company waiting from him there.

Taehyung stepped out of the car, the mask still intact on his face as he approached the lone figure waiting by the shore.

"Park Bogum?" Taehyung asked out as the tall figure turned towards him and gave a smile.

"Hello there, Mr. V" He greeted back,"Here is the chloroform with the exact accurate dosage and the other stuff that you ordered, sir" He handed him a box.

Taehyung pulled his phone out and tapped the sent button shining on his phone as soon as he opened it and looked up.

"The money has been sent to your bank account, thank you for your service both here and at the ball" Taehyung said and shook Bogum's hand.

"It was a pleasure, Mr. V" Bogum said and walked off with his hands shoved down in his pockets.

Taehyung carefully removed his fancy mask and opened the box.

There were two rubber gloves, a medical mask, a sanitized rug and finally the bottle of chloroform in the middle.

Putting the gloves and the mask on, he carefully poured the substance over the rug and went towards the car, where a drizzy, intoxicated Jungkook slept.

Taehyung held the rug over Jungkook's nose and patiently sat there for seven minutes before he finally let his sore and stiff arm fall down.

He checked Jungkook's pulse rate and pinched him hard before finally coming onto the conclusion that he was indeed unconscious for a good 12 hours now.

Getting out of the car, Taehyung dialed Namjoon's number.

"Did you check his pulse?"

"Yes, Hyung, he'll be unconscious for a good 12 hours now" Taehyung whispered into the speaker as he turned a little to observe the unconscious face of Jungkook.

"Great, come here as soon as possible, we'll hit the next gear into process"

"Yes, Hyung."
