3rd Person POV

"Hurry onto the barges!" Harper gestured to the three boat barges and everyone climbed on: Ivor, Harper, and Aspen in one boat, Lily, Lily Rose, and Sadie in another, and Dreamer, Stone, and Addie in the third boat.

After Harper pulled a lever on the side, the barge started moving quickly, almost jerking everyone over the ledge had they not grabbed on tightly. Quickly moving along, everyone started to relax until blood-curdling cries were heard from behind them.

"Wuz goin' on..." Addie mumbled from between Stone and Dreamer.

"Oh we're just being chased by vengeful, possibly bloodthirsty, Orecks, nothing to be too worried about!" Dreamer half-yelled in near hysterics as he drew his sword.

"Ok..." Addie passed out again, causing Dreamer to internally groan impatiently.

"Here they come!" Ivor shouted pointing to the approaching Orecks flying and crawling on the "ceiling" of the Farlands.

"Quick shoot them down!" Harper yelled as she drew a bow and started firing at them.

"We don't have bows, only swords and... a stick." Lily Rose explained, trailing off at the last part of her sentence.

"Hey, never underestimate the power of the stick." Stone tried to lecture dramatically, but ended up making everyone snort or giggle lightly before he swiped at an Oreck and it gave off a shriek before backing, or flying, off.

"Ok, point taken..."

Finally, the barge landed by Ivor's laboratory and everyone hurried off and into the building. Once inside, Ivor closed and barricaded the door with obsidian before gasping out in exhaustion,

"That wouldn't hold them forever, just long enough for you all to escape through there." Ivor pulled another lever to reveal a room with, blocks of TNT around, an item frame with a flint and steel in it, and a portal in it.

"Wait what are you going to do?!" Sadie asked agitated after she lit the portal with the framed flint and steel.

"Yeah, we came aaalll this way so you could help us. Not for you to self-sacrifice." Lily added on disapproving.

"I realize that, but the Orecks are drawing closer and you all need to get to the Hallway in order to get to the Order and stop Madegno." Harper told them before shoving a book into Sadie's hands, "This will guide you all."

"You aren't making any sense!" Aspen yelled right before harsh pounds were heard banging on the door.

"Just get through the portal, get to the Hall, and when you meet them, tell them 'the curse approaches', they can help where we couldn't." Harper pushed them all into the room and closed it behind them with the lever.

"Are you kidding me?!" Stone kicked the door and huffed as they all gathered around the gold-rimmed portal frame. After a second of ruminating whether or not they should enter the portal, Ivor and Harper's fighting shouts were heard from behind the door and the Oreck snarls were heard as well.

"Everyone in, now!" Dreamer told everyone and they all did so without hesitation. After everyone else managed to run through the portal, Dreamer picked up the flint and steel that Sadie dropped in the rush to the portal and sent a few sparks flying towards the TNT blocks just at the door was broken down.

"Boom!" Dreamer saluted the Orecks before backward falling into the portal seconds before the TNT went off, destroying the portal and severely injuring the Orecks to where they made a temporary retreat.

In the Portal Hallway

"AGH!" Everyone yelled as they were all spat out into the dimly lit Portal Hallway and the portal from their homeworld fizzled out behind them.

"Is everyone OK?" Lily Rose went around helping everyone up, but Stone was more upset from the way he pulled his arm away from her.

"Stone, what's going on?" Sadie questioned with concern for her teammate.

"Is no one else bothered by the fact that our plan to get Ivor and Harper to help us just completely blew up in our faces, literally?!"

"Stone, come on, the plan is still more or less the same; find the Order, find a way to defeat Madegno." Dreamer tried to assure him, but he wasn't having it.

"This is getting ridiculous, every time we think we have everything figured out, life throws something at the town to mess it up even more than it's already been made a wreck out of. It's putting everyone we care about at risk."

"Like-?" Aspen started, but Stone interrupted with a snap,

"And I'm not just talking about Addie, I'm talking about to the New and Old Orders, Beacontown, and, if they find us here, every world in existence."

"Oh like you're doing anything to help the situation."

"Seriously, does this hall just cramp everyone's vibes who come through here, didn't something like this happen with Petra right before the whole PAMA situation?" Lily asked dully as she poked a portal's center in boredom.

"Hey, you need to take this more seriously, 'Guardian'..." Aspen suddenly insulted out of nowhere.

"You guys are being so immature it's sickening!" Lily Rose blurted out furiously.

"Stop it!" Everyone snapped out of their angry states to see Addie on her knees, clutching her head in pain before falling to her side.

"Addie!" The group was about to run over to her, but she held a hand out to keep them back as she lifted her head to reveal that her eyes were flaring at the edges with violet-red as tears streamed down her cheeks.

"I'm so sorry... I can't keep him back... not for much longer..." Addie raised her wrist to show the group her bracelet as it was glowing a dim violet-red.

"What are you-?" Dreamer started to ask, but Addie quickly answered with,

"The Orecks were sent to further the corruption of my powers. He's starting to take me over to use against you guys and it's affecting you all too..."

"That wasn't our anger and frustration that we were feeling, it was Madegno's." Lily drew out in realization.

"We just have to find these people Harper and Ivor wanted us to find and figure out what these drawings are." Sadie held up the book Harper gave her that contained a couple of roughly drawn sketches.

"You are all with Harper?"

The group turned to face the new voice that sounded from behind them and saw there were two hooded figures; one in dark cyan and the other in black.

"Who are you?" The two groups asked each other in unison.

AN- Hey Y'all! Sorry it's been almost a month since I updated this story, but my writer's block continues to deter me. Luckily when two readers of Taken Over, Hizwarrior and hdksbdishjsvsudv, asked to have their OC's in my story, I figured I could figure out a way to work them in that could also benefit the story line. So next chapter you all will fully meet Beggip and Arabelle.
