Chapter 19
[Ok so I made some rough calculations when the Hufflepuff/Gryffindor match took place and I'm putting it around 19th November 2016 (surprisingly it still stays the same date in 1996 if we're following the movie/book timeline...I think) because at the end of November 1996? (2016) Ravenclaw beat Hufflepuff and I imagine they only play on weekends, so Ravenclaw match would've been on the 26th of November. I'll try to keep the G/H match short since I still need to insert some other stuff for Nov 18th, Friday...or not, we'll see how it turns out. Argh I keep reaching for my comp. mouse but it's not there! I left it at home and the laptop touch mouse is annoying me!!]
Friday, November 18th 2016 (Also going straight into Saturday.)
Rose's POV
I am currently sitting in one of the abandoned classrooms in the second dungeon level, working on a little something to give to Harry tomorrow before the match. I've noticed how the weather has gotten worse each day this week and if I can make an educated guess, I'd say the growing storm will reach its peak tomorrow. Not the best conditions to be playing as a Seeker, especially one that wears glasses. Let's not forget the fact that there are Dementors around Hogwarts' school grounds. That being said, I haven't seen a single Dementor gliding through Hogwarts' halls so Dumbledore must've refused them access to the students. Which can only mean one thing: They haven't fed in a while...and tomorrow there will be a large crowd on the Quidditch Pitch full of excitement, a.k.a. perfect snacks for Dementors. The Dark Creatures wouldn't be able to resist it. In short, extremely bad weather plus hungry, soul-sucking creatures equals disaster.
So I have a perfectly good reason why I've been sitting here since dawn, it's now 3 pm. Yes, I skipped classes today, but I am not going to let Harry become the next snack of a hungry Dementor. They'd probably just stay above the clouds to stay undetected, thus the only victims would be the Seekers if the Snitch decides to go higher. Thank Merlin, I'm almost done with this stupid bracelet, it should be done before midnight at the latest. I hope Draco has apologised to everyone by now. (the Malfoy way, of course, I know how important it is for Draco to honour his family's name...well except the whole Death Eater part, but Draco won't have to worry about that. He'll never end up as one as long as I live.) Guess I'll find out tomorrow since I'm not leaving this room until I'm finished with the bracelet, not even for dinner.

"Just a few more adjustments over here...and done!" I said to no one in particular and letting out a breath of relief before casting a quick Wandless, Non-Verbal Tempus. Midnight, huh. Just as I predicted, nice. I stood up and stretched before wincing. I should not have sat in that position that long. At that moment my Ebony wand made low musical notes. Shit. I've got company. Then I heard it, footsteps heading in this direction and I quickly put up my glamour and hid my Ebony wand and Harry's bracelet. De Silva?!
"Monroe?! What are you doing here?" he asked bewildered. "I could ask you the same thing De Silva," I snapped. He looked at me inquisitively and snorted. "I really am getting tired of being called 'De Silva' all the time. Let's start over. Hola, my name is Balter Edwuardo De Silva, but please call me Edward," he stated holding out his hand towards me and I stared at it. "I won't kiss your hand, I've seen the look you gave Daniel when he did it. I'm not stupid," Edward said amused and I took his hand. "Rose Angelique Monroe, but you already knew that. Angelique will suffice. Now, what are you doing this far into the lower Dungeons?" I said impatiently.
"Tsk, tsk. Ladies first, Angelique. Besides I asked first," he stated. "Fine. If you must know, I've been working on something to help Potter with his terrible eye-sight tomorrow. Merlin knows it would put Gryffindor and Hufflepuff on equal footing if Har- Potter had full use of his sight without water blurring everything in the process. There, your turn...Edward," I replied stiffly and he grinned.
"Very well. I like to come here to do some extra training or an experiment or two. You almost called Mr Potter 'Harry', care to explain?" Edward inquired and I clenched my jaw. "Fine. A secret for a secret. Ever heard of a Gifted Elemental?" he continued. "They specify in a specific Element. What of it?" I stated. De Silva grinned widely and conjured an emerald green rose while his eyes flashed forest green for a split second. Joy. Why? Someone, please kill me. "Your turn, Angelique. Why did you call Mr Potter by his first name?" he said with obvious glee.
"Harry and I are sort of friends. We're not close but tend to hang out with each other when no one is looking. Can you imagine the school's reaction when they see Dumbledore's Golden Boy, the Saviour of the Wizarding World getting all buddy-buddy with a Slytherin? They'll think he's being controlled under the Imperious Curse or a variant of it. Or worse, they'll think he's going Dark. Now we wouldn't want that now would we?" I drawled and Edward's eyes widened in surprise.
"That's a bit hypocritical, isn't it?" he exclaimed. I scoffed. "You don't notice? Slytherin gets a lot of judgement from the other houses because the Dark Lord was in Slytherin. Even before then there has been predijuce against Slytherin House, as Salazar Slytherin is believed to hate all Muggleborns and Half-Bloods. Everyone that is put in Slytherin is considered 'evil' De Silva. Now we must take into account that Harry is a known Parcelmouth, just like the Dark Lord is. Add that with being friends with a Slytherin and he'll be hated, feared and judged for the rest of his life. It was already bad enough with the events from last year, think how bad it will get now. Ravenclaw is not as bad as Hufflepuff and Gryffindor, but we still get some hate from them every once and a while," I explained and cast a quick Tempus, with a wand this time, and swore. 03:00 am. I'm not going to have enough time to sleep. I'll have to get some extra caffeine soon.
"Look, I've got to go. I still need to make myself look presentable and talk to the twins before the match starts today...I'll see you around Edward, you're not so bad after all," I smirked before taking my leave.

I rushed towards the Quidditch locker room as gracefully as I could. I was cutting it close as I saw the Gryffindor Team head inside the locker room. I burst in and panted slightly.
"Monroe! This is for Quidditch Players only, get out!" Wood roared. "Calm down, Wood. I'm just here to wish the twins good luck, also I thought I'd give you guys an even chance against Hufflepuff today. Potter's going to be outmatched out there in this weather with his terrible eye-sight," I said before walking up to Harry and giving him the bracelet.
"Here. It should keep any water out of your face as well as give you some protection against the Dementors if they decide to join the Quidditch Match. I've noticed them getting restless when I was walking around the school grounds this week."
Oliver Wood snatched the bracelet out of my hands. "How do we know it's not some sort of cursed object to improve Slytherin's chances winning the Quidditch Cup? You're a Slytherin! You're supposed to support your own Team!" he yelled at me. I scoffed.
"Oh, I'm still rooting for Slytherin alright. I'm just doing Draco a favour since he still wants to kick Potter's arse. He can't do that if you guys lost now, can he? Tell me, has Draco 'apologised' to you yet?" I enquired and Johnson snorted. "If you could call it an apology, then yeah. I suppose Malfoy came to apologise to us yesterday. How did you know?" she asked suspiciously.
"Who do you think forced him? I'm friends with Fred and George too, remember? Also, what Malfoy did was as far from Slytherin as it could get. It was downright cowardly! Now, Oliver. Give your Seeker that bracelet. I would like to see you go up against Slytherin and Draco still wants to grab the Snitch before Potter does to prove a point!" I growled and Oliver gave me the bracelet fearfully. As soon as I got it, I motioned for Harry to give me his left arm and he complied.
"Now, this button over here will send out a force field that will prevent any Dementor from harming you, it repells them a few feet away and should dispel any negative effects caused by Dementors. The weather repelling charm is already in use. You better catch that Snitch before Diggory does or you will never hear the end of it from me, Potter!" I said before turning towards the twins. "Gred, Forge. Knock 'em dead and good luck. Don't forget to relax and have fun. The Hufflepuffs' got nothing compared to you guys," I said before giving them each a kiss on the cheek and a warning glare. I turned around and left to go find Draco in the stands.

The weather got worse as both teams started to play and I kept my eyes out for the Snitch and any potential threats. Soon Gryffindor was in the lead with 50 points, but the Snitch has yet to be caught. "Come on, Potter. Catch the blasted Snitch already and end this bloody match!" I growled impatiently and Daniel looked at me. "Aren't you supposed to be against Gryffindor?" he asked incredulously. "We might be against Gryffindor, Valour, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't mind beating Potter in a Quidditch Match. I can't do that if Gryffindor loses against Hufflepuff!" Draco shouted over the storm's noise. Hmm, interesting. There's no venom behind Valour's name from Draco...
'When we're done here, Draco, you have some explaining to do. I noticed how you didn't say Daniel's last name with venom,' I said mentally to Draco and he gave me an affirmative look. Suddenly the air became colder. "Fuck. Hurry up, Potter!" I swore, knowing that the Dementors have joined the party. Suddenly, both Seekers shot up towards a golden glint. They've spotted the Snitch. "Come on, Potter! Catch that Snitch so that I can kick your ass!" yelled Draco when he saw the Snitch as well. Harry disappeared into the clouds. Please let that bracelet be enough.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity Harry reappeared and descended to the ground with his hand held up in the air. He caught the Snitch. The Gryffindor's won the match. I let out a sigh of relief and I ran my fingers across my face. "I need a bloody drink!" I groaned and Draco snorted and stood up, making his way towards the safety of the castle and dragging me along.

[A/N: So I wrote another chapter. Shocking, I know and just in time too. My parents will be back home in an hour. xD So, I changed the outcome of the Gryffindor/Hufflepuff match. *Smirks* For those of you who are wondering, no Rose didn't put a wizarding Patronus inside Harry's bracelet, that would be impossible. No, that was a little Gifted "magic" right there that basically wards off all harmful creatures and effects for the wearer of the bracelet. The weather repelling charm is the same charm Hermione used on Harry in canon, but on a larger, more powerful scale. I really would like to give Draco a chance to try and beat Harry, fair and square. The keyword is try. I'm sorry if you were expecting a scene where Draco apologises to the Gryffindor team or at least expecting a scene where Draco apologises to the twins, but remember this: This is not a story focusing on them, this is a story focusing on Rosella mostly and mainly told from her point of view with some POV's here and there from the others, but it mostly revolves around Rosella and eventually Hugo too. Enjoy!]
