chapter 36

"What is the situation, Detective Hiruzen?" Nezu asks the Detective with a blank expression fixed onto his fluffy face.

Detective Hiruzen was a short, pudgy man with raisin like eyes that you could easily get trapped in and lose all hope of ever escaping. Seemingly sewed on to his pale round head was a mop of wiry, thin auburn hair that had been dyed blonde too many times in the past.

The shrewd man cleared his throat and began in his flat voice. "There is an international...uproar...about heroes and the laws in general. There have been riots and acts of violence across Japan. Although the government has yet to take action, but they are expected to engage very soon and deal with the uncertainty."

The shrewd and biased man stated before flipping the page and reading the next report from the overly organized file.

"Also UA is under heavy fire for their supposed irresponsibility and inability to take care of their students properly." He snapped the file shut, waking up more than half the room that had been lulled to sleep by his exhausting voice.

"Yes, yes I am aware of all that. I do watch the news." Principle Nezu says with a slight hint of annoyance bordering his professional tone.

"What I need to know is what is the current situation with Izuku Midoriya and the League of Villains."

"Oh right, the traitor. Well our information on him is not rock solid due to the fact we have not been able to attain reliable sources but I can relay to you what we have at the moment." The rather boring man states in a monotone voice.

"According to our sources Izuku Midoriya was in fact a quirkless boy who, after his mother died in an accident, got put in an uh... Rehabilitation Centre in down town Mertsuana at the age of seven. Where from he escaped four or five years later, the times are not confirmed, it is said that he joined the League of Villains within that year."

"We unfortunately do not know his connection with All For One or, more importantly, Lucifer. Nor do we know if his work with the League of villains was voluntary or forced." Nezu notably pales at the lack of useful information.

"What about his position? His possible next move? The reason why a Villain like him even joined UA!" Present Mic burst, battling to keep his voice down. The board room was thick with a strangling, awkward silence as the teachers mulled over the worrying situation. In a few days they have to make a formal statement to the press and the public, whom would have hopefully calmed down by then.

But before that they would have to inform class 1A and the rest of the school but unbeknownst to them they wouldn't have to make the dreaded announcement to the most promising junior class because a pair of dexterous eavesdroppers were doing it for them.

•~•

Toru and Jirou gulped their shock down and tried to spit words out as the class anxiously stared at the appointed spies with vigour, desperate to know what was going on. Finally, Toru managed to rush through everything in one breath.

"...So basically Izuku isn't kidnapped, and he is in fact one of the villains and apparently a really important one to and the school has actually no idea what's going to happen next." She finished, her face would've been bright red, if they could see her actual body, from not enough breath intake.

The class was gobstruck, another block was removed from the Jenga tower of life and would soon come toppling down.

Snap.

A flash of white light knocked them out of their shocked in forced stupor. They stared at the one person they thought they would never see again.

"Wow, this is one of the best ones yet! Even better than All Might's reaction, which is saying something! Your expressions are truly beautiful, comical even." I said in a jesting tone while holding a mint green Polaroid camera.

A mixture of emotions ran through the group of teenagers, anger, surprise, shock, excitement and worry.

Jirou was the first one to react,"W-What are you doing here, traitor!" Her loud proclamation snapped everyone out of their daze, and they all instantly fell into a sloppy defensive stance.

'Seems they already found out. This will make things a lot easier.'

Instead of answering them I just walked over to the kitchenette and warped my Polaroid camera back to my room at my dad's...house (mansion but dad will never call it that)

"Why am I here?" I repeated her question while leaning against the glass counter innocently.

"I'm here to collect something actually and well I thought I'm already here so why not kill two birds with one stone and visit my lovely classmates and hopefully explain the situation before you guys try to blow me up or something." I said sheepishly, proudly displaying my pearly whites in a soft, nervous smile, calming everyone down a little.

"You guys can each ask me each a question, if you have any, then I unfortunately have to leave." I said with a sad smile, slightly melting the Heroes in training's hard expressions.

Tsuyu steadily put her hand up first and bravely asked, "Why are you a villain?" My demeanor quickly flipped, I smirked and stalked towards them.

"Laws. My dear froggy, laws-"

"What do you mean by that!" Mina screamed at me, extremely frustrated.

"That's your question gone." I sing-songed.

"As I was saying, the law states that because of who my father is, I to am a Villain. I was born that way." Silence overtook the room as everyone brainstormed the perfect question. After about five minutes I started to get bored.

"Come, come I don't have all day." I said jokingly, playing with their emotions even more.

Aoyama flamboyantly glided forward and with a flick of his golden hair he asked his very intelligent question.

"Monsieur Midoriya what iz your plan, the point of all this?" He shrugged his shoulders and smugly smirked at me.

"Wonderful question! Simply put my goals and plan are the same as Lucifer's, to change the world for the better. To tear down the very corrupt current system and rebuild it for the better and more fair." I say seriously.
A few heads nod in either agreement or in understanding.

Kaminari puts his hand up and I almost choke on my laughter, look how serious his expression is, wonder what he is going to ask?

"What is your connection with Lucifer?" I expected that, considering how annoyed he was at me for not telling me about how I knew his idol, oh if he only knew.

"Ah...well... I work for him, he took me on as his apprentice, protégé, student. When I had no one to turn to, he was there." I say 'sincerely'.
All of that is complete lies of course, I'm his son and successor and it was All For One and the League who trained me not him. Sadly.

My classmates are talking between themselves almost completely forgetting about the situation at hand, which is what I intended as the truth has not fully sunk in yet and most of them are still in denial.

'I only need to stall for a few more minutes. The teachers are all occupied with listening in on this conversation that they won't notice until it's too late.' I thought to myself as I desperately dug for more things to say.

"Lucifer really is an awesome guy, so insightful and driven. A real role model you know." I grin, metaphorical stars sparkling in my eyes. Almost all of my classmates chuckle at my fanboyish antics; almost all of them.

"Stop it!" Uraraka snapped.

"He's a Villain, are you all forgetting that!? He's a traitor, a member of the League of Villains and has most probably done some awful things. He is one of Japan's most wanted!" She cried out, betrayal laced in her voice and anger written across her features.

This struck them real hard, they didn't want to believe it.

They couldn't.

How could their dear friend and classmate for almost nine months be an evil villain. How! And the sweet, lovable, quirky deku be the bad guy?

Impossible.

Yet it wasn't. It was the truth and as heroes they had to defeat him. They had stop thinking of him as their friend and classmate but as an enemy. An unknown enemy.

They all slowly dropped into a defensive stance, faces hardening in to unreadable emotions.

I sighed a 'sad' and 'disappointed' sigh and activated my superb acting skills, "I didn't want this to happen! I didn't want to be born, I didn't choose who my father was! I didn't make his choices. Everything I've done was...true and real. All the words I've said, things I've done, all genuine, all me." My 'broken' gaze lingered on Todoroki and Shinso, assuring them that I didn't use them. Not yet anyway.

"But it's f-f-fine be that way. I wanted to explain myself and make you see why I'm doing this..." fake tears come to my eyes.

"INTRUDERS ALERT! INTRUDERS ALERT!"

My gaze grows cold and unfeeling and a Cheshire smile plays across my lips, making my classmates shiver, silently regretting everything.

I continue with my pitiful speech.
"But if you aren't willing to accept me and at least try to understand, then I have no regrets about what is going to happen."
