"I really found a gem there, didn't I?" 

Well, things don't stay in your life forever, 

no matter how much you want them to

I learned this the hard way when I had 

to let go of the gem I found,

 and continue on with life

 as though he never existed.

I thought it'll be easy,

boy, I had never been more wrong.

it pained me to let him go and go against my heart.

Brain over heart

morals over emotions

duty over feelings

and family over all.

He was, indeed, everything I could've asked for

but I let him go for I had better things to fight for.

One day, maybe, if we meet again

I'll tell him to hold my hand

and never let go again.

It all depends on chance and fate, 

we may never meet again,

but if we do, I hope he'll still consider me again.
