Final part

The sun rose the next day with a clear, brilliant light, but the group’s journey didn’t get any easier. The endless search for safety and supplies continued. The walkers were always lurking, and every day brought new challenges. Yet, through it all, Ji-hyo’s remarkable ability to find and rock the most absurdly baggy clothes seemed to be an unshakable constant.

That morning, as the group packed up their campsite, Ji-hyo was already off on her own, rummaging through a nearby abandoned car.

"Where is she going now?" Daryl muttered, glancing over his shoulder at Ji-hyo, who was crouched by the wrecked vehicle, her oversized scarf billowing in the wind like it was a flag.

“I don’t know, but every time she leaves for a minute, she comes back with something even more ridiculous,” Rick replied, his arms crossed as he observed her. “It’s like a never-ending fashion parade with her.”

“I swear, she’s gotta have a stash hidden somewhere,” Sasha added, shaking her head in disbelief.

“I’ve seen her pull stuff out of the most random places,” Glenn said with a laugh. “She’s got skills. Unbelievable skills.”

The group continued gathering their things, but no one could keep their eyes off Ji-hyo as she slowly emerged from the car, holding up a brand-new item with a gleam of victory in her eyes. She strutted toward the group, walking with her usual dramatic flair, the massive bag she always carried swaying at her side.

“Guess what I found!” she declared, holding up the item with both hands like it was a prized treasure.

Daryl raised an eyebrow. “What now?”

Ji-hyo held up the prize: a ridiculously oversized hoodie. It was so huge that it could’ve fit three people inside, and its sleeves hung down like loose drapes. The hood was so big it looked like it could cover her entire face if she pulled it over.

The group stared at her, unsure of what to say.

“Where do you even find stuff like this?” Maggie finally asked, sounding genuinely amazed. “This... this is something you’d wear to hide from the world, not something you’d wear to be seen.”

Ji-hyo grinned and shrugged. “I told you guys, it’s all about looking in the right places. And this hoodie is pure gold, right?”

“Gold?” Abraham snorted. “It looks like something you'd wear when you’re trying to disappear into the background, not stand out.”

“Well, it’s a statement, Abraham,” Ji-hyo said, adjusting the oversized hood. “Sometimes, it’s about making your statement, even if that statement is, ‘I’m going to be ridiculously cozy.’” She pulled the hood over her head dramatically, her voice muffled, “Like, imagine how warm and safe I feel right now.”

“You look like you’re about to disappear into the woods and never come back,” Carl said, a smirk on his face.

“Exactly,” Ji-hyo replied, her voice muffled from under the oversized hood. “Isn’t that the point? Embrace the comfort, embrace the baggy.” She swung her arms around and swished the hoodie like it was a cape.

Rick looked at her, rubbing his chin in disbelief. “I’ve seen some strange things in this world, but you’re something else, Ji-hyo.”

“Thank you, Rick,” she said, blowing him a kiss through the hood. “I think this one is my new favorite.”

The group shook their heads, trying to suppress their laughter. It was clear that Ji-hyo was going to continue bringing a touch of absurdity into their lives, no matter how bad things got.

Later that day, as they moved through a desolate town, Ji-hyo wandered off again to explore. The group didn’t worry much—this had become a part of their routine. But soon, they heard her excited voice calling from a nearby alley.

“Guys! You won’t believe what I found!”

Everyone turned, curiosity piqued. Ji-hyo reappeared, holding something new with a triumphant smile on her face.

“I give you... the baggiest pair of overalls I have ever seen!” She proudly presented her find—a pair of faded denim overalls so large that the legs hung down to her ankles, practically covering her entire feet.

“You’ve gotta be kidding me,” Daryl muttered, rubbing his forehead.

“How do you always find these things?” Maggie asked, exasperated but laughing at the same time.

“It's a talent, Maggie. A gift,” Ji-hyo said, adjusting the overalls as if they were the most natural thing in the world. “These are perfect for running from walkers and looking fabulous at the same time.”

Abraham shook his head. “You’re out of your mind.”

“I’m just trying to survive in style,” Ji-hyo replied with a wink. “And these overalls? They’ve got character. You can’t put a price on that.”

Rick sighed, unable to hide a small smile. “I swear, Ji-hyo, I don’t know how you do it. You find things none of us ever even think to look for.”

“That’s because you guys aren’t looking at the world the way I am,” Ji-hyo said, putting her hands on her hips as she admired her oversized overalls. “It’s all about the baggy mindset. You just have to open your eyes and see the potential in every scrap of clothing you come across. This... this is a lifestyle.”

Sasha laughed, shaking her head. “I don’t know how you do it, but I’m pretty sure I’m going to need to start looking for some oversized gear myself.”

“See? You get it,” Ji-hyo said, her smile wide. “Once you go baggy, you can’t go back.”

Carl, still watching from the sidelines, shook his head in disbelief. “You know, I thought I had seen everything, but Ji-hyo’s wardrobe is starting to defy the laws of physics. How does she even find this stuff?”

“Does it really matter anymore?” Glenn asked, grinning. “At this point, I’m just amazed that she hasn’t started a fashion trend among the walkers.”

The group continued their journey, with Ji-hyo now sporting her overalls, her oversized hoodie still draped around her shoulders like a cape. No matter what happened around them, she had found a way to hold onto the little joys that made her... well, her.

And as the day wore on, the group couldn’t help but feel a little lighter. They were surrounded by a world full of danger, but Ji-hyo’s ability to find humor, style, and a touch of absurdity in the chaos was something they all needed. It was a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there was room for a little fun—and, apparently, a whole lot of baggy clothes.

As they made their way to the next location, Ji-hyo’s oversized overalls swayed as she walked, and the group couldn’t help but smile. No one else could pull off what she did. Not only did she survive the apocalypse, but she made it look effortless, all while being the most fashionable one in the group.

The apocalypse may have taken away many things, but Ji-hyo’s fashion sense and her ability to find joy in the most ridiculous of items were reminders that even in the worst of times, you could still make the world a little brighter.

And for the group, that was a kind of magic they could all appreciate.
