We both stood there for what seemed like an eternity, neither of us saying a word. Well I suppose that’s that. She hates me and I let her down. I kept looking at her beautiful face. The sunset cast a warm glow onto her and she looked like she could be one of us, an angel.

Sighing I turned and started to walk towards my car. Her arm caught mine. I looked back, she threw herself on me and our lips collided. That sweet kiss I’ve dreamt so long about had finally come. Her lips were so soft and I could taste her strawberry lip balm. She wrapped her arms around my neck and I wrapped mine around her waist. I wish this moment could last forever.

Pulling away and completely out of breath, she smiled at me.

“I forgive you” she said in a whisper. “And... I love you Michael.”

Those words made my heart melt. Staring back into those amazing blue eyes, I knew she was being honest.

“I love you to April” I replied, smiling with her.

We stood, embracing each other for another 10minutes before we finally linked hands and walked back to my car.

I know she might accept me now and that she forgives me, but that dosent mean life is going to be easy for her. The future has infinite possibilities, but I can’t see any without danger. No matter what, I will protect her with my life.
