   Adrien had no idea what he was doing. It was late, and he had a photoshoot in the morning. Yet and still, he approached the dance club, just as Nino had told him to.

   He had no clue what he was walking into, but he wanted in.

   Club Miraculous stood before him, almost intimidating, as he hesitated at the door. "Here goes," Adrien muttered to himself. He examined his outfit once again. He was dressed in black sweats and a black tee. Over that, he wore a short-sleeved black and neon green jacket with a cat-eared hood and a bell. He wore neon green sneakers and black gloves, and to top it all off, he wore black facepaint around his eyes.

   "You gotta have a costume, man. Can't just show up outta the blue with no costume," Nino had told him. Well, he'd give him a costume, alright. And with that, he went in.

"Yo, dude, over here!" Nino called out when he saw his friend. Adrien made his way over to him.

"Sup, Nino?" Adrien said when he reached him.

"Nah, not Nino. Not here. You come in costume, you gotta have a stage name. I'm the Bubbler, and this is my girl, Lady Wifi," said Nino— the Bubbler, as he gestured to the brunette on his arm, who grinned.

"So, what's your name, stranger?" Lady Wifi asked. Adrien opened his mouth to reply, but was cut off as a raven-haired girl dressed in red and black took the stage. He couldn't help it, he stared. Oh man, could she move.

"Who's that?" Adrien asked, transfixed by the spotted girl's dancing.

"That's Ladybug. She's a club favorite; she's an amazing dancer," Bubbler explained. Then he smirked, noticing his friend's starstruck face. "You totally dig her, dude."

"What? Nah," Adrien said. "I don't even know her."

"You're about to," Bubbler said, nodding in her direction. Adrien looked, and sure enough, she was looking right at him. She motioned for a blonde girl in black and yellow stripes to take her place and hopped from the stage. Then, with Adrien's eyes glued to her, she smoothly walked over to them.

"Hey, girl!" Lady Wifi greeted Ladybug, hugging her.

"They're good friends," Bubbler explained. "They also dance really well together. I call them the Ladies when they dance together." Adrien nodded in understanding.

"So, who's the new guy?" Ladybug asked, gesturing to Adrien, who crossed his arms and gave her a Cheshire grin.

"Name's Chat Noir," he said, winking. Ladybug rolled her eyes, but smiled nonetheless.

"You dance, Chat Noir?" she asked, crossing her arms over her spotted crop top.

"You could say that," replied Adrien, now Chat, nonchalantly. Ladybug quirked a brow.

"What, you a scaredy cat?" she teased. Bubbler and Lady Wifi seemed to hold their breaths at the tension between the two.

"Is that a challenge, Bugaboo?" Chat replied teasingly, tensing as Ladybug stepped closer and stared right into his green eyes.

"Only if you accept."

The next thing Chat knew, Bubbler was announcing the next dance off.

"Ladies and gentlemen!" he began, getting everyone's attention. "You could have been anywhere else in the world, but you're here tonight at Club Miraculous! Are you ready for a dance battle, huh?" The audience roared. "The dancers taking the stage: a newbie planning to outdance the queen, who is stepping up to defend her throne!"

Somewhere in the audience, the blonde girl in stripes scoffed, muttering something about being the real queen.

Bubbler continued. "For our next battle, we have Chat Noir, the cocky alley cat..." Chat leapt onto the stage and held a fist in the air, earning applause from the audience. "...taking on Ladybug, the Lady of Luck herself!" Ladybug vaulted onto the stage and casually flipped a ribboned pigtail over her shoulder. Now the audience was going crazy.

"May the best dancer win," Chat Noir said.

"Thanks, I intend to," Ladybug replied, shooting him a wink.

The moment of truth.

"Ladybug, Chat Noir, you have the floor," Bubbler said. "Begin!"

Ladybug went first. Her moves were fluid and elegant, yet powerful and bold. Chat watched in awe as she moved effortlessly to the beat. He was startled when she suddenly finished, posing in a way that screamed, "Beat that, newbie." Chat smirked and launched into movement.

Contrasting with Ladybug's fluidity, Chat's style was more wild and untamed, while at the same time being controlled and perfectly in sync with the music. The two went back and forth a couple more times before they forgot they were supposed to be competing. At some point, they blended together into a partnered dance, but neither of them seemed to notice. They danced perfectly together, causing even Bubbler to marvel at them.

When they finally finished, Chat was leaning backwards so far that his back was parallel to the stage, and Ladybug was leaning forward with her chest pressed against his and balanced on one leg, a gloved hand at the back of his head. Chat, with the arm that wasn't braced on the stage, was holding Ladybug at the small of her back. Their faces were inches apart as they stared at each other.

Club Miraculous went wild.

"So cats can dance," Ladybug whispered. "Who knew?" Chat smirked as she stood up, pulling him up with her. He kissed the back of her hand, still smirking. Then, while the club members were still whooping and cheering, they hopped down off the stage.

"That was literally incredible!" Lady Wifi exclaimed as they approached. "It was like the whole thing was rehearsed! Everyone even forgot it was supposed to be a dance battle!" Ladybug shrugged.

"It kinda just..." She looked at Chat, smiling. "...happened." Chat grinned, wrapping his arm around Ladybug's waist.

"Yeah. I guess you could say it was pretty miraculous," he said. Ladybug groaned.

"That was a terrible pun. Please don't."

"You love it, m'lady," Chat insisted. Bubbler laughed.

"Looks like the cat and the bug hit it off pretty fast, huh Wifi?" he asked, teasingly.

Lady Wifi sighed as Bubbler held out a hand. "Pay up, babe."

So, the Breakdance AU. Definitely one of my favorite AUs of all time. I just HAD to write a oneshot based on it! What do you think? Did I do the AU some justice? Let me know what you thought of it!
