"Marinette, wake up!" cried an urgent, yet charmingly high-pitched, voice. The sleeping girl in question groaned and rolled over to look at her alarm clock.
"Tikki, school doesn't start for half an hour," she complained, ocean blue eyes groggy with sleep.
"Oh, Marinette, look outside!" Tikki said excitedly. Marinette sighed and pushed off the duvet, deciding to look and see what her kwami was so excited about. She padded over to her balcony window. When she did, she gasped and broke into a smile.
Paris lay before her, already awake and lively — and covered in a white blanket of snow. Instantly, Marinette was awake. "Snow!" she said happily. It was then that she noticed exactly how much snow there was. It was turning to slush in the streets as cars rolled over it, and it piled high on buildings and sidewalks. People were already hard at work clearing the walkways.
It then occurred to Marinette that it may have been enough to warrant a day off from school.
Sure enough, her phone buzzed with a message from her brunette best friend, Alya. She went to her desk and picked it up, reading the text.
'No school today, girl! Snow day! ;)'
Marinette cheered, then clamped a hand over her mouth, realizing how loud it was. Another text came from Alya, reading, 'We have got to go and do something, girl. This is an opportunity!'
Marinette frowned, confused. She typed, 'Opportunity? Opportunity for what?' and hit send. It was a few minutes before the reply came.
'For you to hang with a certain blonde model you happen to be obsessed with?'
Marinette blanched. 'Please don't tell me you invited Adrien to hang with us.'
Alya's only response was, 'Ice skating. Noon. See you then, girl!' Marinette sighed. "Thank you, Alya," she said aloud, sarcastically. Then she panicked. "Oh my gosh, Tikki, she invited Adrien!" she said. Tikki giggled from Marinette's desk.
"I think there are more important things to worry about than Adrien," Tikki said, smiling.
"Like what?" Marinette asked.
"How about breakfast?"
The raven-haired girl laughed, shaking her head. "You're right, Tikki. As always."

After a nice breakfast of cereal, Marinette retreated up to her room to get ready.
"What should I wear, Tikki?" Marinette asked.
"Whatever you feel most comfortable in!" Tikki replied. "But you should probably decide fast. You only have an hour to get ready!"
"Oh no oh no oh no, Tikkiiiii!" Marinette wailed, panicking once again. Tikki shook her head and flitted off to help her holder get ready.
Marinette was already tearing clothes out, tossing them across the room in a frenzy. Tikki dodged shirts and pants, zigzagging neatly to avoid getting hit. "Marinette, calm down! Look at your room!" Marinette stopped, embarrassed.
"Ahaha... Whoops..."
Tikki sighed.
Thirty-five minutes later, Marinette had her outfit picked, her makeup done, and her hair in her signature pigtails. "You have twenty-five minutes left, Marinette! Hurry!" Tikki urged.
The bluenette hurriedly dressed in the outfit she picked out — a cute baby blue sweater and an indigo skirt layered over warm, fleece-lined black leggings. She slipped on a white knitted scarf and short brown boots to complete the look.
"How do I look, Tikki?" Marinette asked, twirling once. The little red kwami applauded and smiled brightly.
"You look great! Now let's go!" Tikki said. Marinette grabbed her skates, her coat, and her purse and hurried out the trapdoor. Tikki flew into the purse just before the door shut.
"I'm going out!" Marinette called.
"With who, sweetie?" came the gentle voice of Marinette's mother, Sabine.
"Alya, and quite possibly Adrien and Nino," Marinette responded. Sabine nodded.
"Okay. Have fun!" Sabine said, hugging her daughter.
"I will, Maman. Bye, Papa!" Marinette said, waving to her father, Tom, who appeared in the doorway. Then she was out the door, leaving a gust of cold air in her wake.
It was a short walk to the park, where the rink was set up, and Marinette reached it in no time. It was precisely 12:13 when she arrived. Alya was already there, accompanied by Adrien and Nino. Marinette blushed, embarrassed, as she approached her three friends. "Hi," she called, "sorry I'm late..."
"Mari!" Nino said, standing up and throwing an arm over the bluenette's shoulders. "Glad you made it!"
"Wouldn't miss it," Marinette said, beaming. Adrien stood coolly, hands in the pockets of a very expensive-looking jacket as he smiled his charming smile that made Marinette's knees weak.
"Hey, Mari," he greeted.
"H-hey, Ad-drien!" Marinette stuttered. The blonde model chuckled lightly, moving to speak but being cut off by Alya. She'd gone to strap on her skates, but now she came back. Loudly.
"Girl, where have you been?" Alya asked. Marinette shrugged a little, and Alya groaned. "Doesn't matter. But here's the real question: why aren't you three wearing skates yet?"
Nino laughed at the brown ombré-haired girl and shook his head, going to put his skates on. Alya followed him, and Marinette moved to do so before noticing that Adrien wasn't moving. "A-aren't you g-going to sk-kate?" Marinette asked. Adrien rubbed the back of his neck, looking down.
"Yeah, about that... I don't exactly know how," the model admitted, shrugging. Marinette gasped softly.
"You know, I c-could maybe help you out! I-if you wanted to learn how," Marinette said, slightly proud at her lessened stuttering. Adrien gave her a genuine smile.
"I think I'd like that a lot," he said, winking. Marinette melted, smiling and gesturing for him to follow her. She slid into a bench and slipped her boots off to replace them with her white skates, lacing them up expertly. Adrien, who had sat next to her, watched carefully and attempted to lace his own. Marinette giggled when she saw, leaning over to help him. Soon enough, both teens' skates were tied up, and Marinette was leading a semi-shaky Adrien to the ice.
When they stepped onto the smooth ice, Adrien slipped almost immediately, falling on his butt. Marinette covered her mouth with one hand and reached to pull him up with the other. Adrien grabbed her hand and the low wall that encircled the rink and pulled himself up. When he was on his feet again, both of them burst into laughter. "Why don't you hang onto the wall and get the feel of being on the ice?" Marinette suggested.
"I could, but that would defeat the purpose of having you teach me," Adrien said.
"W-what do you m-mean?" Marinette asked, the infamous stutter returning.
"I want to spend time with you, not the wall," Adrien said. Marinette bit her lip and blushed redder than Nathanäel's hair.
"O-oh," Marinette managed. Adrien smiled and slipped her hand into his own. Slowly, they began to make their way around the rink.
"I think I'm getting it!" Adrien said happily. Marinette skated in front of him and turned to face him. Adrien grasped both of her hands and she laughed. He pulled her to him as they slowed down, lazily drifting across the ice. Marinette's lower back bumped softly against the wall as they came to a stop. Her heart thundered in her chest, and Adrien smiled brightly. "Thank you, Mari," he said. Then he hugged her, nuzzling his nose against her neck and eliciting a small squeak from her. He pressed a kiss to her cheek and pushed off from the wall, grabbing her hand and pulling her along once more. Marinette could only think one thought.
Best. Snow day. Ever.

Hello, my little butterflies! How was this for a first oneshot? Adrienette fluff to brighten anyone's day! This was fun to write.
Don't judge me for making Adrien not know how to skate. It was too big of an adorable opportunity NOT to do it. I'm happy with the outcome!
Next one will be a sad and semi-angsty songfic.
Until next time, bug out!
