Pirate Crew
"So, I was thinking - I was able to resist Cheney's hypnosis so..."
Mal trailed off when she realized Matt wasn't listening to her at all, and she slowly looked up to see his eyes trained on the dark haired beauty across the chip chop. Georgina was sitting at the counter with a tray of fries, but not touching them, boredly watching the little TV. They were the only three left as all the others split off with their own tasks; their's being to find something they can use against Sherri.
"Matt, are you even listening?" She hit his arm and he snapped his head back around.
"What? Of course, I am," he insisted and Mal gave him a pointed look, causing him to sigh in defeat. "You kicked her out pretty quick." He pointed out.
Originally, Artemis had told him, Mal, and Georgina to work together but every idea Georgina had Mal shut down until she told the daughter of Mother Gothel to beat it, that they could figure it out themselves. It wasn't like she was his favorite person at the moment, especially after all the comments about his sister, but he figured more heads who knew the Isle and Sherri, the better.
Obviously, Mal didn't feel that way.
"Yes, cause she's annoying and a brat," Mal rolled her eyes.
"But, she's friends with Harry," Matt argued. "And she's a part of their pirate crew - she could get the others to help us. We're not very popular over here." He pointed out. Sherri had a whole crew out in that jungle with her while they only had the nine of them - they didn't stand a chance. Georgina was there only in for some back up.
"Fine, you want to include her, you're on your own," Mal shrugged, standing up and scooping up her bag. "I'm gonna hit up 'Curl Up and Dye' to see if Dizzy can help me with these glasses." He wasn't sure what glasses she was talking about but he let her walk off, waiting until she was completely out of the Chip Shop before walking over to Georgina.
He dropped into the seat beside her slowly, watching her pick up a fry and look it over before dropping it back onto her plate with a look of disgust. She peeked over at him when she noticed his presence. "Where'd Mal slither off to?"
"Some place called 'Curl Up and Dye'," he shrugged, not really knowing what that place was but he could tell Georgina did when she nodded. "I was thinking that maybe you could get some of your crew to help us out - we're kind of out numbered."
Georgina snorted, "are you guys sure you want my help? You've all pretty much ignored me the whole time you've been here."
"I'm sorry," he admitted and she looked at him with a small frown - like she'd never heard that word before. "I'm just very protective of my sister."
She looked away of him, shifting in her seat. He could tell she was struggling with something, but rather than ask about it, he let her play it out in her own head and come to the decision on her own. "I'm sorry, too," she finally admitted, looking over at him once more with a small smile quirking her plump lips. "I'm just very protective of Harry," she threw his words back at him. "I've known him my whole life and I was there to see how badly his fall out with your sister affected him last time."
"That wasn't her," he quickly defended. "That was Cheney - he was this-"
"I know," she cut him off with a sigh. "Gil explained it all to me... I don't think Harry wanted me to know but that boy was never too bright." She chuckled and the sound brought a small smile to Matt's lips. She wasn't so bad once you got passed the rough, pirate exterior. "Still... I just didn't want him to go through that again. Being a Villains kid isn't easy... we're all each other has."
"I understand that," he nodded sympathetically and she gave him the best smile she could, her eyes darting between his bright, Hazel ones. If she looked close enough she could see the hints of yellow and green dancing in his iris'.
She cleared her throat, shooting up from the stool, "so, let's go get that pirate crew to back up your sister." She winked and Matt's smile widened as he quickly followed her out of the shop.
Mal had gone straight from the Chip Shop to Lady Termaines hair place - it was empty being that it didn't open until midnight which was still a few hours away. She peeked open the door and slithered inside, her eyes taking in the painted place. It looked the same from when she was in the exact same shoes as Harry two years ago.
She noticed Dizzy sitting at her desk, flipping through Evie's little dream book - which was a journal filled with a lot of her designs. She dropped her bag on the little chair as she walked by and over to Dizzy, leaning in against the back of her chair. "Hey, lil one."
"Mal!" Dizzy's face lit up at the sight of the daughter of Maleficent. "Is Evie with you?"
"Not this time," Mal shook her head and Dizzy's face dropped noticeably, she always did like Evie more. "I actually came cause I need your help. Sherri has Harry," Dizzy rolled her eyes at that, making Mal let out a soft chuckle. "Yeah, if this had happened a year ago, I'd have had the same reaction, but he's really changed since being in Wonderland with Artemis."
"I know..." she admitted softly, turning in her seat slightly to look at the little TV hanging up high on the wall. "I've been watching. But, what is he doing here?"
Mal sighed, flicking her bangs out of her face, "Same thing I was doing... looking for himself."
"Okay, I'll help. What do you need?" She hopped up with a big smile.
Mal smirked at the young girl, grabbing her bag and pulling out a her spell book, and flipping to a certain page. "A year ago, I went up against this really bad guy who could do this thing with his eyes and completely control your mind," she explained and Dizzy look up at her with big eyes.
"Like Sherri can?" She asked curiously.
Mal pursed her lips, tipping her head from side to side. "Sort of," she admitted. Sherri couldn't control peoples minds - but, she could calm you down, so you didn't see her as a threat. Like a snake charmer. "But, with this other guy, it didn't work on me... so I was wondering, if I gave you the ingredients to a spell, could you get them and help me try to replicate that for the others to use against Sherri."
Her tongue stuck out in concentration as she looked over the page that Mal showed her. Her dark eyes bounced up to the daughter of Maleficent as she fixed her glasses on her nose. "I think I can do that."
"Alright," Mal grinned, high fiving the young girl.
Dizzy and Mal quickly set out to gather a few things around the market place before returning to the hair salon. Dizzy took some wire and some glass to create a couple pairs of glasses while Mal mixed the ingredients together to create the potion - a big bowl of green liquid when she was done. One by one they dunked the glasses in the bowl and when they came out the glass shined a bright green that reminded Mal of her own eyes.
"You really think this is gonna work?" Dizzy asked, her chin resting in her hands as she looked up at Mal.
The purple haired girl sighed, "I hope so."
The sound of a dozen footsteps and voices caught Mal's attention and she looked over at Dizzy with a curious frown, to which the young girl shrugged. Scooping up her spell book, Mal hurried out the door, startled to see not only Georgina and Matt, but a whole army of pirates following them.
Her wide eyes danced between the pair, "what is all this?"
"Georgina got all these guys to back us up," Matt told her, jerking a thumb over his shoulder. He smiled madly, looking over at the curly haired girl beside him. "She's kind of awesome." Georgina flipped her hair over her shoulder with a giggle that made Mal roll her eyes.
"Great," Dizzy grumbled. "Now we've gotta make more." Mal looked down at the young girl and deflated when she realized she was right.
They had to make a lot more.
