Wyatt's Pov

Emily and I finally arrived at the place I was supposed to meet up with the other guys.

When we got there I found a great parking spot and once I parked I turned the car off before getting out.

I went to the back and got Emily out and placed her on the ground. When I closed the car door and made sure the car itself was locked I grabbed my daughter by the hand and led her over to the store.

"Daddy, where are we?" Emily asked in curiosity.

I opened my mouth to answer her question when I heard someone yelling my name.

I turned around and a grin appeared on my face when I saw Zed, Bonzo and A-lan standing at the entrance of the store.

"Look, princess" I gestured towards the guys.

Emily looked over to them and her eyes widened in delight.

"Uncle Zed! Uncle Bonzo! Uncle A-lan!" Emily yelled.

She pulled away from me and rushed over to her uncles who immediately grinned at her.

I laughed softly and fondly shook my head as I watched my daughter rush over to the guys.

She first reached Zed and he immediately scooped her up and placed her on his hip.

When I reached them Zed and I smiled at each other before shaking hands.

"Hey, man. Sorry we're late" I apologized.

"It's cool, no worries. We got here a few minutes ago since Bonzo had to stop for gas" Zed told me.

Bonzo nodded, confirming that it was true, and I nodded.

"Good afternoon, friend Wyatt" A-lan greeted me with a smile.

"Hey, A-lan. Good to see you" I greeted him with a smile of my own.

It's crazy that in the past I hated him because I thought he was interested in Malia and wanted to take her away from me.

I can't believe I thought he was going to steal her from me when he only ever saw her as a sister.

I can't believe my stupidity almost cost me my relationship.

That's a mistake I definitely won't make again.

Especially when I refuse to not only lose Malia, but Emily.

And besides, A-lan and I have made up 2 years ago and we're great friends.

He's actually a really nice and chill person and after learning about his past, when his home planet was destroyed, I felt really bad and comforted him when he started to cry at the reminder of how he lost not only his home but his parents.

"Where are Bucky and Jacey?" I asked.

Zed opened his mouth to say something when all of a sudden the two guys walked over to us.

"Hey, guys" Jacey greeted us with a smile.

"Hey" Bucky smiled at us while nodding.

We all returned the gesture as Bucky and I shook hands while Jacey shook hands with Zed and Bonzo.

And, of course, Emily squealed out their names when she saw them and the two of them laughed at her energy.

It's amazing how Bucky and Jacey have grew on us and we're considering them our friends.

In the past we didn't hate them but we didn't really like them.

But overtime they began to change and I've grown to really like them and have grown to see them as my friends.

Bucky is still egotistical from time to time but with Eliza's help he dials it down.

"Sorry we're late. My car was having some problems but it's all good now" Bucky told us.

"No problem. We all got here a few minutes ago so you're fine" I waved him off.

Bucky nodded before smiling over at Emily as he took her from Zed's arms.

Zed pouted but Bucky, of course, ignored him and held Emily close to him and began to lightly tickle her.

I smiled at the two of them. Bucky is known to have a soft spot for only two people.

Eliza and Emily.

"Alright, now that we're all here what do we do?" Jacey asked.

I clapped my hands together and began to explain, "first we need to look around so I can find the perfect ring. After that we're heading back to mine and Malia's place to get everything ready".

"How are we going to get everything ready if Malia is there?" Bucky asked.

"Easy, the girls are there right now and they're in on this. Once Wyatt has found the perfect ring I'll message Addison and tell her to take Malia out of the house and keep her away from the house until everything is ready" Zed explained.

I nodded in agreement to what he said.

"And after we have prepared everything for this special event we get friend Wyatt ready before my sister arrives" A-lan finished.

I chuckled and nodded while placing a hand onto his shoulder.

I have told him that he doesn't need to address me as 'friend Wyatt' and just call me by my name but he seems to just ignore me.

I don't mind but I really would prefer if he just refers to me as just Wyatt.

Maybe I can ask Malia to talk to him. Or maybe even A-li.

Not sure if he'll listen to the girl he views as his sister or the girl that's literally his girlfriend.

Or both.

Bonzo clasped his hands together and spoke in zombie, telling us that we should get inside to start searching.

We all nodded in agreement and walked inside the store.

When we got inside we decided that we would split up.

Bucky and Jacey would go together, alongside Emily since she wanted to spend time with those two.

Bonzo and A-lan, those two are good friends and A-lan seems interested to learn more about Bonzo and the way he speaks and all.

And that leaves Zed and I.

"Lets meet back here in an hour" I told the guys who all nodded.

"We'll take some pictures of the rings we find and show you them so you can pick out which one you like" Jacey smiled.

"Good idea" Zed nodded with a smile.

I nodded in agreement before turning to my daughter, gently placing my hand on her shoulder.

"Remember to stay with uncle Bucky and Jacey at all times. Got it, princess?" I sternly asked.

"Yes, daddy" Emily nodded.

"Good girl" I smiled softly at her.

I leaned down to kiss her forehead before glaring at Bucky and Jacey.

A glare that said 'if you lose my daughter or if she's harmed in the slightest on your watch, you both are going to suffer my wrath'.

My two friends gulped and quickly nodded their heads before heading off.

Bonzo and A-lan nodded at us before heading off themselves.

I heard a chuckle and turned around to see Zed looking at me with amusement in his eyes.

"What?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at him.

"You sure know how to scare people" Zed chuckled.

I realized what he meant and let out a small scoff under my breath.

I happen to be very protective over Emily, she is my daughter after all and I love her with all my heart, and if anything were to happen to her I will go crazy.

Which is why I make sure my friends know that so that they keep their eyes on her and make sure she's safe.

"I'm an overprotective father that loves his daughter and wants her safe. Deal with it" I rolled my eyes.

Zed rolled his eyes and playfully punched my shoulder and I returned the gesture.

After that the two of us began looking around, scanning the rings that we saw as we tried to find the right one.

Well, not the right one.

The perfect one.

I was trying to find the find the perfect ring.

Tonight has to be perfect meaning that the ring itself has to be perfect.

Malia deserves it all and I need to make sure everything goes well tonight.

I was ripped out of my thoughts by a tap to my shoulder. I turned around to see Zed pointing at something.

"Hey, what about this one?" Zed asked.

I looked over at what he was pointing at and it was a silver ring that was in between two gold ones.

I furrowed my eyebrows together and walked over to the rings, never taking my eyes off the silver on.

I grabbed it, making sure I was careful the entire time since it's pretty expensive.

And I definitely didn't want it to fall and somehow break it.

I stared down at the ring that I was holding with a calculating gaze.

It's honestly really nice.

And it does look like it could fit on Malia's finger since it does seem to be her size.

But I just don't think that it's the best.

"So, do you like it?" Zed asked.

I pressed my lips together before sighing and shaking my head, setting the ring down.

"It's pretty but I don't think it's the one. I need to find the perfect ring for my perfect girl" I told him.

Zed sighed in slight annoyance, "I don't think Malia would care. She loves you no matter what and a ring won't change that".

I let a smile appear on my face at that.

It's true.

Malia loves me 100% and I love her 100% and our love is real.

She doesn't care about gifts or anything like that because as long as she has me and Emily that's all that matters, that's all she wants in her life.

"Nevertheless, I want tonight to go well. Meaning I need to find the perfect ring for her" I sternly said.

Zed sighed but nodded in understanding.

He knows that I want this day to be perfect since I am going to be asking the girl I love to marry me.

He understands how I feel since he was basically the same when he was planning to propose to Addison.

He had every single one of us help him and, of course, we all agreed but we had to admit that it was slightly annoying since he sometimes ordered us around and sometimes yelled at us if we made even the smallest mistake.

Like I said, he wanted everything to be perfect.

And he, of all people, should understand how I'm feeling since I am basically acting the same way he did.

"Alright, well lets keep looking before we have to meet up with the others" Zed suggested.

I nodded in agreement.

And just like that the two of us went back to searching.
