Hera's P.O.V
I walked into the common room to see Kanan and Skyler on the couch. Kanan looked up at me and asked, "How did it go?"
"Well," was the best answer I could give.
"What is 'well' supposed to mean?" Kanan asked confused and worried.
I sighed then gathered my words to respond. "He's fine....but jumpy. It seems like he is scared of Skyler," I explained the best I could.
Kanan nodded understanding what I was getting at.
"If there is a chance to help Ezra then I'll take it," the Jedi said and a weight was lifted off my shoulders.
"Maybe we can try and get Ezra to watch Skyler so the two can get to know each other," I thought out loud.
"That could work. We can say that everyone is to busy and that he has to watch Sky for a bit," Kanan planned.
"Dear.....I think that's one of your best plans you've ever had," I complimented smirking. He gave me a 'hurt' look and said, "My plans are good."
"If you mean 'easier said than done' kind of plan then sure, love. Your plans are the best," I said and he rolled his eyes.
"So, how will we put the plan into motion?" He asked me.
"After, he wakes up then I'll take it from there. You and I are going on a supply run while Zeb and Sabine go on a small mission that I'm assigning them," I explained.
Kanan nodded and so we kept ourselves busy with Sky until Ezra woke up.
An hour later...
I seen Ezra walk into the kitchen looking a little less like his usual self.
"How did your nap go?" I asked but he looked down not wanting to talk about it. I was saddened when realizing that he probably had a nightmare. He sat at the table and tried to almost hide himself in the seat. It made Ezra look more smaller.
"Hey Ezra?" I said making him flinch a bit but looked up at me with his attention.
"I need you to watch Sky while Kanan and I go on a supply run," I said softly, "Do you think you can do that."
Ezra looked down the the table's surface then shrugged.
"It would do me a big favor if you could just watch her for a while," I offered.
"O-ok," he said quietly still looking away from me, not noticing my bright smile.
"Come on. I need to show you a few things cause I'm guessing you have never taken care of a baby before," I said.
He shook his head no so the two of us made our way to me and Kanan's room. I opened the door and told Ezra to sit on the bed. He obeyed and sat on my, bed arms crossed protectively over him. I carefully picked up my daughter from the cradle then walk over, sitting next to Ezra on the bed.
"Ok first, I'm going to show you how to hold her," I said and he tensed. I gave him Sky and moved his arms around a bit so he cradled her. At first, Ezra was very nervous and scared but it soon changed. He carefully removed one of his arms from under her and held out his finger to Skyler.
Little Sky reached out and grabbed his finger. I saw a smile stretch across Ezra's face.
"S-she likes me?" He said surprised and I smiled.
"She loves you," I told him.
"I can't believe I was scared of you. This is really nice," Ezra said to Sky as she babbled happily. I loved watching the two bond and was glad that Skyler was helping with Ezra mentally. Those two will get along just nicely.
"I've never a sibling before," Ezra admitted.
"Well now you do," I said slinging an arm around his shoulders. This was a great start to Ezra's recovery and maybe things will get better. He looked down at Sky, not with fear but love in his eyes. "I'm your big brother, Ezra," He said then the baby soon fell asleep.
I gently took Sky from Ezra and placed her in the cradle. Then showed the padawan everything else in a matter of minutes on how to take care of Skyler.
After showing Ezra how to take care of the baby, I went to the cargo bay to see Kanan waiting for me patiently.
"Ready?" He asked.
"As I'll ever be," I said as we walked out of the Ghost.
"You think Ezra can handle taking care of little Sky?" Kanan asked me.
I smiled saying, "He'll do just fine, love."
Everything was fine at the moment and things will get better.
Two days later...
I was in the cockpit relaxing when someone entered the room.
I looked over the chair's shoulder to see Sabine. Yet, her worried face grabbed my attention, I immediately knew that something was wrong.
"Hera, I need to tell you something," she said and I fully turned in my chair and gestured for her to sit in the co-pilot's seat.
"What is it?" I asked the young artist. Sabine looked at me and began to tell her story.
*Earlier in Sabine's room...*
Sabine's P.O.V
I was bored out of my mind and couldn't find any inspiration to spray paint. A huff left my mouth as a thought came to mind. So I stood up from my bed and went to the common room. I sat at the round holotable and decided to snoop through more of the Bridger's file.
I didn't get to see the whole file yet and right now was the time to do so. I scrolled down passed the stuff that I've already read then my eye catches something.
'What do we have here?' I said in my head seeing another file that read 'Unknown File.' My curiosity got the better of me so I opened it and found that it was in a different language.
I could still read it though, so my eyes skimmed the page until finding something interesting. I read the part then a gasp left my mouth in shock.
"No way," I said then turned off the files. I almost jumped when Zeb walked into the room. He looked over at me and raised an eyebrow.
"What?" He asked.
"Um...nothing," I said and got up walking towards the cockpit to tell Hera what I found.
*Back where we left off...*
Hera's P.O.V
My eyes widen when she told me. "Does Ezra know about this?" I asked quietly.
"I'm not sure, that's why I came to you. I'm not sure what to do," Sabine said to me like a child lost in the market. I sighed as my brained racked for some sort of solution to this problem.
"Alright, just don't tell anyone about it yet so we can think of something that won't cause havoc. I don't want a war going on in the Ghost. Especially with Ezra's mental state at the moment and the Empire," I said.
Sabine huffed but utterly agreed since she didn't want to see her family tear apart. Soon, the artist was about to leave. hugging herself.
"Sabine," I said stopping the girl.
She turned around with her head bent down to look at the floor. I stood up and hugged her.
"Thank you," I whispered into her ear. Sabine returned the hug after her shock. Once the two of us separated, a small smile showed on her lips. Soon, the young artist left the cockpit and I sat in my seat rethinking what Sabine just told me.
A shaky sigh left my mouth as I steered the Ghost to our next destination.
Thrawn's P.O.V
Phase one of my plan was complete. Now on to phase two...
I walked down the hall until reaching the room. I entered to see my two new recruits.
"You must be Admiral Thrawn," the female inquisitor said.
"Seventh Sister and Fifth brother, I'm assigning you two to do a very important mission," I said.
"And what might that be?" Fifth brother asked.
I brought out a holo projector and it flashed on revealing the Ghost Crew.
"I need you both to bring me the boy and their new member to me alive," I said.
"What's in it for us?" Seventh Sister asked.
"You can kill a Jedi and for bonus, do what you want with the rest of the crew. Then I'll let you make the boy suffer," I bargained.
The two inquisitors looked at each other before smiling.
"You have yourself a deal," Seventh Sister said.
Phase two has begun.
