A crowd of Inazuman locals run off to the north, fear painting their faces as they screamed.

"Ghost!"

"She rose from her grave!"

"Call Guuji-Sama immediately!"

As they ran off, the figure that was supposedly the one that scared them appears from behind a tree. It is none other than Noelle, wearing a red face paint that looks like a scar on her left cheek, and she is wearing a skimpy set of steel armor that exposes most of her arms and her stomach, the amalgamation of a Mondstadt Knight and an Inazuman soldier.

"How... How did this happen, again...?" Noelle asked herself, as her eyes become swirly from confusion.

A day before, Ayaka receives a letter from her brother, Ayato. Then she tells the group that he has held a Test of Courage event in Chinju Forest out of all places.

"A test of courage? What's that?" Noelle tilted her head.

"Seriously? You don't know what it is? It's an event where you have to search for a certain item alongside a partner. And to be exact, there will be scary occurrences as well." Ayaka explained, holding a letter in her hand.

"That sounds fun! Want to ask Aether to come along?"

"That has to wait. He was on the way to the Sanctuary of Surasthana just now to check on Lord Kusanali." Noelle replied, as she looked at the towering tree behind her.

They were back in Sumeru again after Weinlesefest ended, and that Aether wanted to check up on Nahida. When he got back, Ayaka gave him the letter and he nodded.

"I see. Well, it's a coincidence, I was about to go to Inazuma as well. You can wait at the Estate, I need to check up on the Smithy there."

"Understood, Aether."

Opening an Adeptus portal, Noelle, Nilou and Ayaka went through it and Ayaka finds herself standing in front of the palatial estate she once called home. The front guards welcomed her, although they scowl at the sight of Noelle with her.

"Ayaka, you're home. I see you brought a couple of guests." Ayato greeted on the walkways.

"It's an honor to be meeting you, Commissioner of the Yashiro Commission." Both Nilou and Noelle bowed, although Ayato widened his eyes at the sight of the latter.

"The silver knight of Mondstadt...!"

Before everyone could react, Ayato swung his blade towards Noelle only to be blocked by Nilou's sword.

"What are you trying to do, commissioner!?"

"The dead all those years ago, can finally be avenged!"

 "H-hold on! You're mistaken! I am not the Silver Knight!" Noelle raised both of her hands up.

"She's right, Onii-Sama. Please put your blade down."

Ayato then let go, and took a closer look at Noelle again. A smile forms on his face, before a small chuckle is heard.

"My apologies, I was just pulling a little joke!"

Ayaka gave an odd look, as this is out of character for Ayato.

"What an interesting family, Miss Ayaka..." Nilou sighed.

"At least the misunderstandings are cleared away."

"Also Onii-Sama, I request that you shall not draw a blade on her again. The one who will defeat her is me."

Ayato raised a brow at his younger sister's request, and smiled.

"So be it. And by the way, are you here because of the letter I sent to Ayaka as well?"

"A Test of Courage sounds like fun to me, so I want to try it out." Nilou replied.

"I am here merely to accompany them and Aether, but Aether himself is preoccupied at the moment."

"I see, I see."

Ayato then explained the rules of the event to Nilou and Noelle, just for them to get a second rundown. They were then sent to the northern outskirts of the Chinju Forest. The girls then met with a miko who oversees the event, who told them that one team consists of two participants. Looking at each other with scheming looks, the three of them then spread out and raised their hands.

"Rock, paper, scissors!"

The three of them kept on getting draws as the Miko stared at them with an amused look on her face. It took an entire minute until finally...

Ayaka picked scissors, and both Noelle and Nilou picked paper.

"Yes, yes at last! I have finally defeated Noelle!"

"But, not in a duel." Nilou gave Ayaka a mischievous smile.

"Oh, silence!"

And so, Noelle and Nilou walked ahead, their objective is to get a bottle of dango milk.

"Hey, Noelle."

"Hm?"

"I think I may have a solution to make us not getting scared in this situation."

"You can say it, Miss Nilou."

"So, I actually had a clone sneaking into the Estate when nobody is looking, and she found this."

The clone in question jumps down from a tree, and upon reaching the ground it turns into water, which is then absorbed by the real Nilou's body. She was holding a wrapped package.

Noelle opens it, revealing a steel item.

After a moment, Noelle asks Nilou.

"So, how do I look?"

"Perfect! Now the ghosts will have a reason not to scare us."

The two of them then walked across the forest again, until they ran into another team looking for the dango milk. The people on the other team has their faces turn into pale blue as they looked at Noelle, and screamed in terror before running to the opposite direction.

"What just happened?"

"They must have seen a ghost behind us."

Noelle looked behind her, but there is nothing.

"Oh, I get it. Only certain people can see them directly."

Nilou laughs at Noelle's innocence in those lines. And so they went on finding the dango milk whilst scaring off any competitors that come in their way. At one point they come across three children wearing masks. The first one is a girl wearing a tengu mask, the other a boy wearing a green kappa mask, and the third is another boy wearing a straw hat and a mask with one big eye on it.

"Oh, there are children participating too?" Nilou places a finger on her lips as she asked herself that question.

The children's gaze turned from Nilou to Noelle, who is still wearing that skimpy knight armor.

"Run!"

"Z-zombie!"

"I may be a Youkai, but this is too muuuuuchhhh!!!!"

"It's alright, Noelle! Children have wild imagination after all!" Nilou said, trying her best to distract Noelle from the fact that everyone they encounter is scared stiff of her because of her current outfit.

"That explains it. They must have seen a lot of ghosts around this area."

In the end, they managed to lose to Ayaka who have met up with Aether and Paimon, and teamed up with them. As it turns out, Nilou never has the incentive to win the Test of Courage, but she mischievously tries to make the Test scarier just by changing Noelle's attire. However in the next round, they did it seriously, trying to find an iron fan this time.

And of course, Noelle indirectly scared off the contestants again, because she forgot to change back to her usual attire.
