For the second day in a row, The Team is stirred awake by Corp. Graves's rendition of reveille. None of them enjoyed it, of course.
They enter the Mission Room dressed in their hero uniforms. Here, Corp. Graves informs them of their next round if training.
"Good morning, Cadets!" He starts. "Today, we will be fine-tuning your abilities in both long-range targeting and mobility. To achieve this goal, I have been given permission to allow you all to join me in a joint training exercise on a shared Global-U.S. Army base in upstate New York. I would like to caution you all that this will be a very dangerous location for childre-"
"We're not children!" a rather young red head shouts.
Everyone turns their heads to glare at Bart Allen.
"Well...," the red head states nervously, "at least not all of us."
The Corporal sighs. "Just stay safe and keep out of trouble.
"Your transport will be arriving within the hour. I will me you there. I have to run ahead and make sure all the necessary arrangements have been made. For now, you are dismissed."
The Corporal exits the room, and heads to the hangar. Here, he boards a waiting UH-1 Iroquois (a 'Huey' helicopter) and is sent off toward his destination. He speaks with Wally before leaving.
The Team gathers in the kitchen, where M'gaan and Zatana have decided to make breakfast for everyone. The Cave fills with the smells of fried eggs, bacon, and freshly toasted bread.
Everyone chuckles at the fact that Wally and Bart ate half of everything. The overall mood is a shared feeling of happiness and gratitude. Before long, the computer, W.I.L.S.O.N., announces the arrival of the Team's transport.
"Attention Team and S.W.O.R.D. initiates. Your ride is here."
"This is so crash," Bart says as he dashes off the hangar bay.
The rest of the Team follows him.
Wally drags Artemis to the far corner of the hangar. He tells the others that they'll meet them there. They look toward him confused.
"What are you getting at, Baywatch?" Arty asks, slightly confused.
"Yeah," Nightwing chimes in. "The base is over three hundred miles away. You'll exhaust yourself in the first ten."
They all laugh at his comment.
"I resent that," the speedster comments. "Besides, we won't be running there."
"Ohhh..."
"No, we'll be taking this."
The redhead pulls out a pair of keys and presses a button. Suddenly, a plane appears in the corner of the hangar. The Spitfire shows itself in all its glory.
Nightwing stares in amazement. "Is that?"
"Yep!" Wally replies. "It's the F-485 Spitfire."
"There's only six of them in existence. How did you get one!?!" Robin exclaims.
"Well," Wally starts nervously, "It's a wedding gift for a happy couple."
"Oh yeah, from who?" Artemis asks.
"My C.O.," he responds. "Mr. Graves. He gave it to me so I could get back to the Cave last night."
Just then, the hangar door opens; revealing four Seahawks idling outside. A flight officer approaches the group.
"Alright cadets. I am Private David Dunham. I am the squadron commander of the 105th Airlift Wing stationed on the G.S.S. Thomas J. Graves. My squadron and I will be your transport to Fort Condiga. So mount up!"
With out further hesitation, the Team does as they are ordered, with the notable exception of Wally and Artemis--who take the 'family car' instead. As the choppers lift off, the Spitfire shoots out of the hanger at blinding speed. Shouts of exhilaration and joy can be heard from the occupants.
