Immediately after the briefing, the Team is escorted to the training room. It is here that their new journey shall begin. And that their limits--both as a team and as individuals--shall be tested.

"This is your new training room," Dir. Disakvo states. "Here, you shall learn everything it takes to become not only a better hero, but also a better soldier."

"Excuse me, ese," Blue Beetle interrupts. "But, what do you mean by soldiers?"

"The moment that beacon went off, you all became initiates for the S.W.O.R.D. Earth Defense Program and cadets for the G.G.E.F."

He pauses for further questions. When he received none, he continues.

"Your enemy will ruthless, well-trained, well-equipped, and battle-hardened. They have faced the entire military forces of other planets--many that were light years ahead of us technologically."

"Were?" Beast Boy states, solemnly.

"Those worlds are no longer habitable. They....."

"No longer exist," Lieutenant Joe Domingo states. "Darkseid's forces employ a devastating scorched earth tactic that destroys everything in its path. Those that survive have two choices. To live in the hell that once was their home. Or flee to another planet, and hope that He does not follow them."

There is another pause and an uneasy silence. Then the billionaire's nephew, Tom, speaks up and says, "Let us not get depressed thinking about the facts now, shall we. We are here right now to train so that this planet has a fighting chance. I want to see two people sparring, right now."

Tom looks around the room. "Okay, Wallace!"

"Yes?" Kid Flash responds questioningly.

"Front and center, Marine!"

"Yes, sir, soldier," Wally states jokingly. he walks to to center of the room and the computer recognizes him.

"That's corporal to you!" Tom scolds. "Okay. Now, someone for you to fight. Hmmm."

He looks around the room. His gaze falls upon green clad archer. "Tigris!"

She looks toward Tom, after hearing her name. "Yeah?"

"You're up."

Tigris steps onto the platform, and approaches Wally.

"Fight!" Tom shouts, clichely, as Nightwing starts taking bets for the winner. And whether or not they will end up making out afterward.

The two lovers slowly circle each other. This goes one for a few moments in silence, and one speedster opens his big mouth.

"Come on! Punch each other already!" Bart exclaims. Everyone just turns and stares at him.

As if humoring the impulsive young speedster, Tigris lunges at KF and socks him on the jaw.

"That all you got?" Wally retorts. He swings and misses.

"No," she replies tauntingly.

"Come on , now Arty, " he taunts. "Show them how you really feel about me. Ehh?"

"You did leave me alone for a year," she replies while landing a strong punch to gut.

She kicks his legs out from under him. He quickly recovers, and returns the maneuver. She dodges and lands a kick in his back.

"You left and did not say good bye," she continues, not holding back as he dodges her next few punches and kicks with his superspeed.

"I left a note," Wally replies. He dodges another high flying kick, and back flips off the wall. he punches her in the back.

"Yeah! Which you hid and I did not find until two days ago! When cleaning out your dresser!" the archer shouts back. She tries to hit him but misses.

"Uhh...oops," Wally states right before being punched in the face. He stumbles back, but does not fall.

Tired of seeing one of fellow Marines getting the snot beat out of him, Lieutenant Domingo steps up and states: "Stop playing Private! Execute maneuver 4 - 2!"

"Yes, sir!" Wally replies. He then superspeeds behind her, and restrains her arms. He the flips her around and pins her to the floor with her facing him.

"TIGRIS: FAIL!" the computer states.

There is a brief pause. Only their labored breathing is heard. Then Wally speaks up.

"So what's your answer?" he asks.

Artemis looks at him in confusion. "To what?"

"To that four word question that makes every girl's heart melt?" he responds.

Artemis thinks for a moment. Then she remembers the aforementioned note. The one he hid in the back of the scrapbook. The one with the ring taped to it. Her look softens and she confidently says: "Yes! YES! I will marry you!"

With that being said, Wally picks Artemis up off the floor. They embrace each other. They lock eyes and lips, and kiss passionately, ignoring the cheering crowd of friends and teammates around them.

Corporal Graves grunts. "I think that is enough for today."

He turns to face the crowd, as the two lovers continue their embrace, "Tomorrow we start training for engaging targets at long range. You will meet me here at 8am sharp. In the meantime, I trust that you all can familiarize yourselves with the Cave. Cadets! Dismissed!"

The Corporal and Lieutenant exit the Cave via the Zeta Tubes, with the Director in tow. The rest of the Team breaks off and goes to explore the Cave. They leave the archer and the speedster in their passionate embrace, which starts to become quite heated.

Nightwing pokes back in with his smartphone and texts Bruce and several others a picture, with the caption: 'Just hitched!'

He wonders what fun will come out of it.

He doesn't have to wait long.

Moments later, the couple are interrupted by a much older, green clad, blonde archer; as he pulls them apart and punches Wally in the face; knocking him out.
