In a small rooftop room, Kim Mi Na found herself awoke to the frigid air that crept into her core. She was frightened to find herself in this cold dark cramped place.
"Why am I here? Didn't I die from the car accident?" - she whispered in fear.
Took all her might, she crawled up, searched for the light switch, then found her way to the bathroom. To her horror, the reflection on the mirror was not hers, but of some young girl that she has never seen before. She touched her face and the girl in the mirror did the same.
"Oh, my god, what is happening?" - she whimpered in disbelief - "who am I?!?!"

Before Mina had a chance to recollect her thoughts, the banging on the door startled her. She slowly made her way toward that direction and peeked through the crack. A young girl lugging the bag of groceries stood there, hitting the door, while screaming - "Yoo Mina, open the door, NOW!!! Don't make me break it down! You heard me, gurrrrl!!! Yaaaah!!!"

"Yoo...mi..na?!?!?" - Kim Mina was shocked that the previous owner of this body has the same name as her.
"Yaaaah!!!! YOO MI NAAAAA!" - That girl threw her tandrum again.

Kim Mina hurrily opened the door for her before she destroyed that door and disturbed the whole entire neighborhood at this wee hour.

"Mina! What take you so long? Are you ok? Are you feeling better yet? Pabo! Why did you let yourself get hurt because of that idiot?!? You scared me, gurl!!!!" - the girl kept talking while grabbing her to check from head to toes.

Kim Mina was a little taken back by her enthusiasm.
"Wait! Who are you?!?!" - as she spoke, the girl's eyes widened with disbief.

"What?! What did you just ask?!? Who am I? I am your best friend, Yoona. How dare you forget me?!?! Don't make me beat you up! Stop pretending, you stupid!" - Yoona was really agitated.

"Yoona, calm...calm..down...please!" - Kim Mina pleaded - "I don't know what happened but I really don't remember anything after I woke up. Please help me!" She had no choice but to lie to Yoona. She was still trying to figure out the phenomenon where she got revived in another person's body. As scary as the reality seemed at the moment, she must accept, and the only one that could help her to adapt is Yoona.

Yoona started to tear up, "stupid girl, why did you try to kill yourself for that worthless guy. I told you a long time ago that he was only using you. After you have worked so hard to help him through school, he just abandoned you for a girl with better family background. I told you already, orphans like us have to always look out for ourselves first." Yoona started to cry harder, "You stupid girl even tried to kill yourself to make him to stay with you. That heartless man would never care. Thank God that you are still alive!"

Kim Mina just learnt that this body had a really sad past. This poor Yoo Mina killed herself for love in vain and she, Kim Mina, died after she loved in vain. Kim Mina reach out her hands and embrace sobbing Yoona tightly and spoke to her in tears,

"Yoona! I will not be stupid like that anymore, I promise. I lost my memory but it might be a good thing for me. I have forgotten the bastard that put me in this predicament. Please stay by my side to help me get back on my feet, will you?"

"Of course, silly. I will always be by your side like you have always been by my side since we met in the orphanage." - Yoona wiped the tears off her face and of Mina's face - "Go, refresh yourself while I'm making you your favorite food."

While Mina was eating the food Yoona made for her, Yoona told her as much as she could about her life. Yoo Mina and Yoona grew up together in an orphanage in Daegu. They have always lived together as roomates. Their bond was as tight as sibblings. Yoona had strong characters while Mina was on meeker side; therefore, Yoona always had to protect her. They were both 20 years old, but could not go to college due to financial difficulties. They worked for a coffee shop by the piers full time to make ends meet. Yoo Mina fell in love with one university student who frequented the shop and devoted her life to him. He promised her a family that she always longed for. She basically turned herself into his maid. As soon as he graduated, he told her to get lost because he could never marry a girl, who could not help him with his career. Devastated, Yoo Mina begged him to stay and threatened that if he leaves her, she would kill herself. As heartless as he was, he did not even bother to come to check on her while she was overdosed with sleeping pills in this room.

Kim Mina slowly accepted her new identity, a poor barista. She had no other choice because she could not proven to anyone that she was indeed Kim Mina in Yoo Mina's body. People would think she was crazy and institutionalized her. Luckily, during those years of taking care of Yoongi, she had mastered the barista skills since he loved coffee so much, so this job should not be hard for her. She just needed to acclimate herself with the surroundings and learnt to live like a peasant, because she is no longer Kim Global's princess.
