Olivia's POV:
"Jesus, it's like hell broke loose in here," I say as several nurses shoved Scott and I aside when we entered the hospital.
"Must have been bad considering the number of ambulances we passed by." He responds, trying his best not to drop his take-out food bag.
"Does anyone know where Dr. Hilliard is?" I hear my mom shout as she tried her best to tend one of the people in the waiting chairs.
"Mom?" I call and she turns her head to my direction. She sighs in relief then tells another nurse to watch the patient before walking over to Scott and I.
"I'm starving." She smiles and takes the food from my hands.
"Well hello to you too." I retort sarcastically and she chuckles.
"Sorry, it's just been so stressful." She says and pecks my cheek. "Thank you."
"Have you seen my mom anywhere, Ms. Flores?" Scott asks.
"Oh she's--"
"How much longer on Dr. Hilliard?" We hear Melissa shout as she walks out from one of the rooms.
"Right there." My mom gestures as Melissa sees us and walks over to us also.
"Thank you." Melissa pulls Scott into a hug and places the bag on the counter. "You're the best."
I frown and turn to my mom. "See, she said thanks first."
"What's going on?" Scott says, pointing to the stressful nurses that tried to help the victims out. "Is everything okay?"
"Except for half the accident victims in a ten car pile-up being rerouted here from downtown and the E.R Attending not answering any of his pages, yeah we're okay." My mom sarcastically smiles but Melissa pats her arm.
"What does not answering pages mean?" He worriedly looks around.
"Either he took a day off or that nobody can find him." I shook my head with disbelief.
Melissa nods her head in agreement. "Now we have to wait for the on-call to get here." She added but then from behind, a woman holding her arm taps her on the shoulder.
"Excuse me, miss." She weakly asks and both Melissa and my mom turn. "Can I please have something for the pain?"
"I'm sorry, I know. Giving you something could complicate things so we really just need to wait for the doctors." Melissa says as she helps her sit back down. "Okay?"
"How far is Dr. Hilliard?" My mom asks the lady at the front desk who was on the phone.
"Ten minutes." She responds and my mom sighs, nodding before facing to me.
"Thank you again for bringing me dinner. Are you going to be okay staying by yourself tonight?" She asks and I turn to Scott who had sat next to the lady that asked about pain medication.
He placed his hand on her wrist and I could see the black veins travel up his arm, wincing a bit before taking his hand away. The lady smiles at him, the pain no longer visible in her face.
I glance at my mom. "I'll be okay."
"Someone! Someone help me!"
I turn behind me and see Ethan trying to hold Danny up, his face filled with concern. "I need help!" He shouts again. I quickly run over to them and use Danny's free arm to wrap around my neck.
"Put him over here." My mom orders, showing Ethan and I to carefully sit him down in one of the empty chairs.
Scott grabs Ethan's arm. "What did you do to him?" He scolded with a glare.
"Nothing! He said he was having chest pains and trouble breathing but it just kept getting worse." Ethan rips his arm away and worriedly turns to Danny.
"This is not good." My mom says, pressing her fingers against Danny's pulse. "His larynx has shifted to the side. I think it's tension pneumothorax--"
Instantly Danny lunges forward, causing all of us to take a huge step back as he vomits all over the floor, several white berries and green leaves sprawling everywhere.
"Gross," I mutter, trying to cover my nose so I wouldn't smell the stench of vomit.
Scott's eyes widen. "Is that...?"
"Mistletoe." Ethan finishes his sentence.
A couple of minutes later Melissa brings one of the stretchers to us and the boys hoist him up, carefully laying him on the bed.
The two women roll him into one of the exam rooms that already had a couple of people inside but Ethan, Scott, and I chose to stay close behind them.
"Can you three please go back to the waiting room?" My mom asks, taking notice of the three of us.
"Where are the nurses and the doctors?" Ethan asks as they stop him by one of the machines. "Where is everyone?"
"It's a full house tonight. They're tending to other patients." My mom explains.
"Mom, how can we help?" Scott asks, worriedly glancing at Danny who struggled to breathe.
"Honey, you can't. His lung is collapsed. His heart is being pushed against his chest cavity so..." Melissa trails off sadly.
"He's gonna die, isn't he?" I ask and Ethan tenses up.
My mom worriedly looks at Melissa but then Melissa snaps her fingers.
"Needle thoracostomy." She says and my mom's eyes widen.
"Of course!" She says and digs through the drawer beside her.
"Thora-what?" I question. "What are you talking about?"
She looks at Scott. "Scott, grab the tape. You," She points to Ethan. "You grab those scissors and cut his shirt open. Melissa and Olivia, I need you two to hold him down."
I quickly walk over to the other side as Ethan rips Danny's shirt open. My mom pulls out a syringe from one of the drawers, my eyes widening at the size of it.
Danny starts to gasp for air and I hold his shoulders down. "Mom, he's not breathing," I warn and she nods, connecting several tubes to the syringe.
"I know, I know." She mutters then pushes the syringe through his left pectoral.
"What are you doing?" Scott asks, as my mom pulls on the valve of the syringe.
"This is supposed to let the air escape to relieve the pressure in his chest," Melissa explains as Danny starts to breathe normally again. My mom hands her the syringe and she places it on the table beside her.
"Thank you." Danny weakly mumbles, causing my mom and Melissa to smile.
"No problem," Melissa responds as her and my mom look up to see our shocked reactions. "What?"
"That was awesome," I say and Scott nods in agreement.
"Wouldn't have remembered if it weren't for your mom." My mom pats Melissa's shoulder.
Melissa shakes her head. "We did it. Together. Besides, it wasn't that big of a deal."
"On the other hand, you two should get going. It's a school night." My mom says and I nod.
Scott and I bid our goodbyes to them and start walking out of the hospital.
"I'm dropping you off at your house, right?" I ask as I pull my keys out from my pocket.
"That'd be great." He says and I unlock the doors.
Before I could pull the door handle, Ethan holds it so I wouldn't be able to open it. "I know you guys aren't gonna believe me, but I didn't do anything." He says and slowly takes his hand off.
"All I know is that the minute that you got here, you went right for Danny and your brother went for Lydia," Scott says as he holds on to his door.
"And don't think I didn't forget about the whole Isaac and Allison thing," I add with a glare.
"We're not gonna hurt him," Ethan responds but I roll my eyes.
"Why should we believe you?"
"Because we knew one of them was gonna be important to you and now we know it's Lydia." He says but then car lights flash behind him. I look behind him and see the vehicle sway side to side until it eventually crashes into one of the parked cars.
"What the hell?" Scott whispered and the three of us run over to the cars. He pulls open the door but then sees that nobody was inside.
"Unless I got drugged up again," I blink a couple of times. "did that car just drive itself?" Scott picks up something from the seats and lifts it up for Ethan and I to see that it was a moth. "Okay, maybe not drugs."
Shortly after Scott had called the cops, Ethan took off since he didn't want to be a part of the witnesses. In addition, both of our moms came down since they had to give their statements about the doctors missing.
"Two missing--"
Sheriff Stilinski cuts him off. "They were both in the car?"
"No dad, they're trying to tell you that it was two separate kidnappings. Two doctors, both gone." Stiles crosses his arms. "Thank god I tagged along."
"So whose car is this?" Stilinski gestures to the car next to us.
"Dr. Hilliard, the on-call doctor," Melissa responds.
"The E.R. Attending is the one that never made it in." My mom adds.
"Let me just focus on getting your guys' story first, all right?" Stilinski says then they both nod as he glances at us. "Can you three give us a second?"
Scott, Stiles, and I step away but right away, I spoke up as soon as we were earshot away from them.
"These are definitely sacrifices, right?"
"Yeah, it's one Deaton mentioned, healers," Stiles says but Scott furrows his eyebrows.
"What about Danny? He threw up mistletoe. That's not a coincidence."
"And as much as I hate to admit it, but if he hadn't been with Ethan he probably would have died. Danny's not a healer." I add, a bit of annoyance lacing my tone.
Stiles was about to respond but then nods his head toward our parents. "Scott, can you hear that?" Scott turns around and stares for a bit until he faces us again.
"They found a body."
