Olivia's POV:
"This is the ugliest thing I've ever seen, Scooter."
I hand back the tattoo artist the drawing Scott made, but he seemed happy with his own creation.
"Good thing it's not going on your body then," Scott says, then gives me a pointed look. "Did you just call me a scooter?"
"Yeah, because this almost looks like a road you would ride your scooter in," I say as I aimed my film camera towards him. "Say hi to the people who are laughing at your tattoo." He flips me off in response, causing me to snicker.
"Hey Scott, are you sure you don't want something like this?" Stiles calls out and I turn around with my camera.
In his hands were one of the examples for a potential tattoo, showing a lizard-like creature that was similar to the Kanima.
Scott gives him a look of annoyance and I roll my eyes, also annoyed at the fact he brought up the past. It's called the past for a reason, I pushed it back in my memories on purpose.
"Too soon?" Stiles asks and places the paper back in its original spot.
I move the camera to Scott. "Are you sure you want to go through with this?" I say as the tattoo artist was prepping his kit. "You do know there's no going back once the needle hits your skin."
"I'm not changing my mind."
"Okay, but why two bands? Don't you think your first tattoo should have some sort of meaning or something?" Stiles asks.
"Getting a tattoo means something." Scott shrugs.
"He's right, tattooing goes back thousands of years. The Tahitian word 'tatau' means to leave a mark, like a rite of passage." The tattoo artist explains, causing me to smile.
"That's so cool," I respond and face the camera to him. "Say hi to the people."
"Olivia, he's covered in tattoos." Stiles glances at him with his arms crossed. "Literally. It's not that poetic."
The tattoo artist looks at Scott with the needle in his hand. "You ready?" Scott nods in response and the guy turns on the machine, making a whirring sound. "You ain't got a problem with needles?"
"No, sir," Scott says and the guy places the tattoo needle on his upper left arm. Stiles and I go closer to watch, but I notice that he was scratching his neck nervously.
"Are you okay?" I whisper so only he would hear.
"I tend to get a little squeamish." He says and glances at Scott's arm once more, widening his eyes as he saw the ink follow along with the guideline.
I face the camera to him and as if on cue, Stiles's eyes roll back and fell unconsciously to the ground.
I turn the camera to me and smile awkwardly, not expecting Stiles to pass out. "I think this is where I end it."
After a while of waking up Stiles and getting an ice pack from one of the employees, Scott's tattoo was finished and we all walked to Stiles's jeep.
"Where're my keys?" Stiles tiredly asks as he dug through his pockets. "Did the guy really take my keys?"
"Nope!" I simply respond and hold his keys in my hands. "I did."
"Haha, very funny Olivia. Now give them to me." Stiles says as he holds the ice pack against his head and tries to snatch the keys from me. "Olivia."
"Did you really think I'm gonna let you drive when you literally passed out over a needle?" I say and unlock the driver's door. "I'm driving."
"I thought you didn't know how to drive?" Scott says as he opens the door to the passenger side.
I smirk. "What do you think I did all summer?"
"You have your license?" Stiles asks, reluctantly going to the backseat.
"Well..." I trail, causing Stiles to glare. "Technically no, but the cops don't have to know that."
"Did you seem to forget that my dad is the sheriff?" Stiles retorts and opens his door to get out. "I'm not trying to get in trouble Olivia, I'll be fine."
"Stiles, I'd rather have her drive than you. You fell pretty hard." Scott says.
Stiles points at both of us. "If we crash and end up dying, I'm gonna haunt your families." He shuts his door again and I turn on the ignition and adjust the mirrors. "If you scratch him, I swear to god--" Scott grunts, making Stiles stop mid-sentence of his complaining.
"Are you okay?" I ask as Scott looks at his arm with concern.
"It kind of burns." He says and Stiles gives him a pointed look.
"You just had your skin stabbed about a hundred thousand times with a needle." He says, but Scott shakes his head.
"I don't think it's supposed to feel like this." He says but then painfully grunts again. "Nope! Definitely not supposed to feel like this. I-I got to take this thing off."
"Oh god, no please." Stiles gags as Scott frantically unwrapped the bandages. As soon as it came off, my jaw drops at the sight.
Scott's tattoo began to fade away and Stiles drops his scared expression into a worried one.
"No, no, no. What?" Scott mutters under his breath in shock, as the tattoo faded away until it showed his bare skin. "It healed."
"Thank god." Stiles and I say in unison, making Scott glare at us.
"I mean, damn what a waste of money." I pretend to act sad, but Scott rolls his eyes in annoyance. I turn on the ignition and start to leave the parking lot, turning to the streets to head home.
Allison's POV:
"It is not a double date, it's a group thing." Lydia corrects me as she drove us to meet up with some of her 'friends'.
"Do they know it's a group thing? Cause I told you I'm not ready to get back out there." I say, instantly getting flashbacks from before summer break.
"You were in France and you didn't do anything dating?" She glances at me for a second. "For four months?"
I shake my head. "Nope."
"Not even talk to a certain brunette where her name rhymes with trivia and her last name in Spanish means flowers?" Lydia raises her eyebrows and I awkwardly shift in my seat. "Did you?"
"No," I mumble. "Not since she left for Florida."
"Allison." Lydia scolds. "I get that you wanted some distance from Scott, but I'm surprised you didn't try anything with Olivia while she was gone."
"Did you do any dating this summer?" I change the subject, not wanting to talk about her anymore. "I mean, after Ja--"
"Do not say his name." She cuts me off.
"Is he okay? I mean, did everything work out?"
"Well the doctors looked like total idiots when he turned up alive, but everyone got over it." She explains and glances at me again. And yes, Derek taught him the werewolf 101. Like how not to randomly kill people during a full moon."
I smile, knowing that she kept tabs with him during the process. "So then you talked to him?"
"Uh...Not since he left for London."
"You mean since his dad moved him to London." I correct and she rolls her eyes.
"Whatever. He left." She mutters. "And seriously, an American werewolf in London? Like that's not gonna be a disaster."
I furrow my eyebrows. "So you're totally over him?"
"Would I be going on a double date if I wasn't?" She spoke quickly, causing me to chuckle. "Yes, it is a double date. It's not an orgy, you'll live."
"Lydia." I scold, rolling my eyes playfully.
"What? Would you rather be going on a date with Olivia? I know damn well you would." She teases and I slap her arm, but she continues to laugh.
Olivia's POV:
"Woahhh, we're halfway there! Woahhh, livin' on a prayer!" I sang loudly as Stiles was pinching the bridge of his nose while Scott held his head in annoyance, most likely regretted telling me how to connect the jeep's Bluetooth to my phone. "Take my hand, we'll make it I swear!"
"I'm not going to make it if you don't shut the hell up!" Stiles groaned, trying to cover his ears.
"Or change the song at least," Scott adds.
"I just remembered, have you talked to Allison at all?" Stiles asks Scott, leaning close to the front.
"No, we agreed to not keep in touch in the summer. No texts, no calls." Scott responds.
"How do you know she won't be back in school then?" Stiles asks and I freeze at his question.
"After everything that happened, I'm not sure she's coming back at all."
While I was away at the beginning of summer vacation, I tried my hardest to get over the whole Allison thing with Andrea's help. I wanted to focus on finding out what kind of supernatural thing I was, but instead of finding answers I was left with more questions...and a bit of a broken heart.
I mean I guess coming back, I'm pretty sure I got over it. To me, she was just someone that I might or might not talk to this year again.
It wasn't a total loss, though. Scott and Stiles were suspicious about why I left, but they still continued to be two of my good friends. Who knew?
"Alright, you guys are depressing." I groan and turn up the music.
"Aw, man." Stiles groaned and Scott rolls his eyes again.
"We've got to hold on to what we've got!" I sung loudly, then dramatically grab Scott's hand to serenade him. "It doesn't make a difference if we make it or not!"
In my rearview mirror, I see Stiles look up to the roof of his car. "Lord, kill me now."
"We've got each other and that's a lot for love!" I continue singing as I gesture to Stiles and Scott. "Your turn boys!"
"We'll give it a shot!" Scott joins in, starting to smile at my antics but Stiles's eyes widen.
"Woahhh, we're halfway there! Woahhh, livin' on a prayer!" Scott and I sing in unison.
Scott turns back to grab Stiles's hand. "Take my hand, we'll make it I swear! Woahhh, livin' on a prayer!"
"Oh screw it, it's Bon Jovi." Stiles scoffs. "Livin' on a prayer!"
"Hell yeah!" I cheer, laughing at how Stiles pretended to play the guitar during the solo with Scott headbanging along to it.
I notice the stoplight coming pretty close so I started to apply the brakes to slow down.
"Ohhh, we've got to hold on, ready or not!" Stiles sang loudly first, leaning closer to us with his fist out as if he was holding a microphone. "You live for the fight when it's all that you've got!"
"Woahhh, we're halfway there! Woahhh, living on a prayer!" Scott, Stiles, and I sing in unison, leaning closer to each other to 'share the mic'.
"Take my hand, we'll make it I swear!" I yell, but then notice Stiles stopped smiling, his eyes widening as he eyed the car next to us.
But that didn't stop me!
"Woahhh livin' on a prayer!" Scott and I sing loudly, trying to fist bump without hitting the roof of the car. "Woah, we're halfway there!"
"Guys, I think Allison is going to be at school." He says as Scott and I kept singing. "I say pretty definite. Like one hundred percent."
Scott stops singing as well, but Stiles nodded his head for us to look to our right.
I look over to where he was talking about since I wanted him to keep singing with us,
but then it felt like time froze. The rest of the song faded away and my main focus was the girl who I tried so hard to forget, simply sat in the passenger seat as she laughed at what her best friend told her.
Her smile basically captivated me enough for me to stop jamming out to Bon Jovi. The same feeling I felt months ago practically overwhelmed my thoughts, but it was both a good and bad feeling. The good being that I missed the girl a ton, but it was bad as well since we didn't leave things on a good note.
Remember when I said I was over the whole thing with Allison? Yeah...maybe I'm not completely over it.
Allison's POV:
As Lydia finished telling me one of her hilarious stories from one of her ex-boyfriends, my eyes subconsciously glanced at the car that was next to us.
My heart dropped once I locked eyes with my ex-boyfriend and the girl that made me confused with how I felt about her. It was obvious their reactions were the same since they both had the same shocked expressions as well.
"Oh my god," I mutter and quickly look forward, covering my face, which made Lydia furrow her eyebrows in confusion. "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. I can't see them, not now."
"Woah, that's a weird coincide--"
"Lydia, go. Just go." I groan.
"Allison, it's a red light."
Olivia's POV:
"Olivia, dear god. Drive!" Scott raises his voice, but I shake my head frantically. "Why not?"
"It's a red light, I can't go!" I say, looking back to face the stoplight. "Believe me, as much as I want to, I can't."
"I think we should talk to them," Stiles says as Don't Stop Believing by Journey starts to play, making him smile. "They can sort of join our carpool karaoke!"
"Shut up Stiles!" Scott and I scold, but he climbs over Scott's seat, rolling down the window. "Stiles!"
"Hey!" Stiles calls out, but then Lydia floors it, her car speeding off into the street as our car stayed behind. "Huh...maybe they didn't see us."
A couple of seconds later, the light turns green and I press on the gas, continuing to drive, but still seeing Lydia's car a couple of yards away.
"What are you doing?" Scott asks and I give him a pointed look.
"Driving, what else could I be doing?" I retort. "Baking a cake?"
"She can't exactly make another turn," Stiles adds.
"I don't want it to look like we're following them," Scott says and I roll my eyes. "Olivia, do something! Anything!"
I slam the brakes, causing all of us to lunge forward with the tires scraping under us.
"Jesus, a warning would've been nice!" Stiles scolds.
Allison's POV:
I look behind and see their car slow down. Great, now I feel like a jerk. Maybe I should talk to them. To her. I basically ignored Olivia the entire summer.
"Lydia stop. I need to go back." I say, glancing at her, but then turn back around. "I feel like I should talk to her."
Lydia slows down the car and we turn back around, seeing them stop their car in the middle of the road as well.
"They stopped too. Why would they stop?" I ask.
Lydia shrugs. "It's Stiles and Scott. Do you really want to try applying logic to those two? Olivia probably got dragged along."
"Maybe we should go back," I say.
Instantly the glass in front of us shatters since something rammed its head into it, causing Lydia and I scream in terror.
Olivia's POV:
Hearing Allison's and Lydia's screams immediately made me scramble out of my seat and open the car door.
I hear Scott and Stiles follow behind me as I ran to the vehicle in front of us. Allison and Lydia had gotten out of the car as well, taking a couple of steps back from the car.
"Are you guys okay?" Scott worriedly asks but I already had run straight to Allison, grabbing her hands so she could look at me.
"Are you okay?" I ask, feeling her hands slightly shake.
"I'm okay." She responds and I squeeze her hands in comfort.
"Well, I'm not okay!" Lydia practically yells, causing me to snap out of it by quickly pulling my hands away before Scott would see. "I am totally freaking out. How the hell does it just run into us?" She asks as Stiles tries to calm her down.
Scott walks over to their car and sees the deer with its head through the windshield.
"I saw its eyes right before it hit us. It was like...it was like it was crazy." Lydia continued.
I walk over to Scott. "Crazy enough to drive its head through the window? I think it got scared."
Scott places his hand on the deer and his eyes widen. "No...it was terrified."
