"Good evening, Hobi-hyung."

"Good evening, Jeongguk-ah."

Jeongguk smiled as he walked into his dressing room, his long purple robe swirling around him with every step. Hoseok smiled up at him and watched as he fell on the dark red velvet sofa.

The room was dimly lit, casting awkward shadows around the patterned walls. Jeongguk stretched on the sofa, reaching and taking a red rose between his fingers, although it was rather dry since the flower had begun to wilt a few days ago.

He looked across the room, frowning when he saw Hoseok with a large newspaper in front of his face. "Really hyung?" he teased, glancing at the time and then back at Hoseok's newspaper.

"Well I'm sorry that somebody didn't let me read the paper earlier," Hoseok retorted, kissing his teeth and straightening out his newspaper. He crossed his legs and sent a glare to Jeongguk from over his paper, to which the boy responded with a giggle.

"Mafia violence flares in Seoul?" Jeongguk read aloud from the front page of the newspaper. Hoseok nodded sadly, glancing at the radio as it softly played music.

He placed the newspaper on the table and picked up a cherry from a bowl in the middle of the table and took a bite out of it. "It's scary, isn't it?" he asked. Jeongguk nodded.

"But at least Six-Two-Five isn't the only thing in the news now," Jeongguk added in, frowning a little at the memory. "I wonder if it's safer back in Busan."

"Gguk, it's been four years since the war ended," Hoseok began, running his hands through his hair in frustration. "It's the same everywhere."

Hoseok huffed. "Besides, Gguk-ah, you worked so hard to move out to Seoul and now you're thinking about heading back?" Jeongguk shrank in on himself. "What about your job? I thought you loved singing."

"H-Hyung, I do," Jeongguk added, the soft melody from the radio dancing around in the air. "There's just a lot of people here, and you know how homosexuality is still... illegal."

Hoseok pulled his lips into a tight line. "That's never stopped you before." Jeongguk nodded sadly.

Silence settled over the two and Hoseok frowned again, standing up to turn the radio up a little louder.

"Come on, stop pouting now and go get ready," he began, pulling Jeongguk up to his feet. "You have to go back out and perform soon, don't you?"

Jeongguk groaned, letting Hoseok push him towards his vanity. "Fridays are my least favorite days," he whined, falling onto the chair in front of the large mirror.

"You act like you're afraid of the Kims," Hoseok said, putting his hands on his hips. He held back a giggle when he saw the annoyed look on Jeongguk's face. "Namjoon wouldn't even hurt a fly, Jin's afraid of flies, and Taehyung..."

"Taehyung could be in the mafia," Jeongguk muttered, annoyance washing over his face. "He's very rude, but no one ever tells him off." Jeongguk huffed and Hoseok smiled at him, ruffling his hair.

"But Yoongi is nice, and Jimin too," Jeongguk smiled, "It's always fun when Yoongi plays piano for us and Jimin sings with me."

Hoseok smiled. "You're being very nostalgic, now get ready." Jeongguk pouted again, his bottom lip jutting out, but Hoseok ignored him, wandering off to get himself ready too.

Jeongguk huffed and picked up his lipstick, quickly applying it and making other last-minute touches to the rest of his look. He studied his reflection in the mirror, making sure to cover any impurities before adding his final touch. A small red heart drawn under his right eye.

"You look wonderful," Hoseok commented once he had walked back into the room. Jeongguk smiled at him and stood up, heading over to his closet to find something to wear.

"Are you going out in your full costume tonight?" Hoseok asked, walking up behind Jeongguk and placing a gentle hand on his waist.

Jeongguk paused for a moment, pursing his lips together as he stared at the wigs in front of him. "Maybe not tonight, I'm feeling a little fatigued." Hoseok nodded, squeezing Jeongguk's waist before slipping out of the closet.

When Jeongguk walked out, he had dawned a pair of high-waisted black slacks and a rather sheer white top. It was a top that he'd normally pair with a pleated skirt when he got dressed up, but he decided against the skirt for today's performance.

"I love it," Hoseok mumbled with a soft smile on his face, opening the door for Jeongguk to head out of. Jeongguk walked out but paused, running back in and throwing a black suit jacket to top off the entire ensemble. Hoseok smiled.

Jeongguk walked out to behind the stage, smiling at some of the workers and looking out at the small crowd. He giggled when he saw them look around anxiously, watching the stage light up softly and Jeongguk walk out.

"Good evening," Jeongguk spoke into the microphone when he made his way onto the stage. The crowd applauded, quickly settling down as they waited for Jeongguk to begin.

"I think most of you know me already," he mumbled into the microphone, a pretty blush rising on his face when he heard the crowd whistle and respond.

"But for those of you who don't," he said with a smile, glancing to Hoseok who was hidden behind the heavy red curtains.

"I'm the Queen of Hearts."
