Under the cover of darkness, these three entities met; each member eager to for close on a matter that was proving harder than possible. "What is your progress?" The most self-assured of the group spoke. "Is that the reason why you called me here at such an hour? If I had something to report, I would've done just that!" The darkest figure growled, he hated having to come to this cesspit of a world, and his annoyed climbed knowing that he was ordered here!

"Varcan!" The self-assured figure spoke again, while the other figure stood behind him. "You will be careful of how you speak to us; you said the girl was in your grasp, how did you manage to let her go?" The figure was pure aggression.

"It was that damned angel, Hadriel." Varcan responded, his dislike for his recent company apparent. The figures sighed, "Hadriel will prove to be a problem. You need to see to it that he is disposed of, and then the girl will be easily attained."

"How do you suppose I do that? He is heaven's most fearful warrior, my demons won't oppose him, and I am certain that you wouldn't dare get in his way!" Varcan spat. The silent member of the two figures was angered. 

"Hadriel is an obedient dog! Your force is a disgrace to the name and legacy of demons! It is not our responsibility to get rid of him! You are not being forced nor are you gaining nothing. You can exit our agreement anytime you see fit!"

"Exit! So that you can destroy me and mine? I will find you the girl; tomorrow we will attack the Cathedral."

Without any pleasantries, for non-existed between them, all departed. Varcan hated having to stoop to anyone but it was for his survival, in the deep recesses of his mind Varcan hid his fear. Hadriel was merciless and despite what those aggressive figures thought, Hadriel was no obedient dog! At least Varcan never saw that side of him. But he knew one thing for certain; he will capture the girl, no matter the cost!
