Harry Potter's Beginning

Harry was distinctly aware that he is an odd one out in his family. Sure he loved pranks like his Father and Uncles and he also loved books like his Mother but he didn't quite feel like he was part of the family. He may like pranks but they didn't feel like enough and the books his mother gave him were nice enough but they weren't as interesting as the ones he found in the deep dark corners of the Potter library telling of Necromancy. Yes, that was what he liked, something distinctly dark like Necromancy.

But Harry knew this wasn't something he should mention. Whispered conversations about their hatred of anything dark stood out very clear in his mind. Over the years he has noticed things in the mansion going missing, especially certain books. Upon noticing his collection being very similar to the ones that were disappearing he hid them in a password protected trunk.

Something he noticed very early on was his ability to speak to snakes. Something he researched soon after and subsequently vowed not to tell his parents. Especially when his parents started talking about Slytherin house and how those in it should not be allowed to be in Hogwarts. This was disconcerting to him as he had read Hogwarts, a history and thought it fit himself. But the next words were chilling.

"Harry's a good boy, there's no chance he'll be in Slytherin. Our boy will not have a future in that house of trash that needs to be taken out." At this Harry looks down at his now ironic book of Euphemisms and decides he doesn't want to read it anymore. As he closed the book he heard one more thing.

"Yeah I would hate for something bad to happen to our baby, not that he would be our baby anymore." Harry was seconds away from crying at those words and quickly dashed away from the wall separating him and his parents.

He went down into the dungeons to be alone. He sobbed in the corner of his mom's potions lab for at least an hour. When he stopped crying went back upstairs and into the library. There he went back into the deepest corner of the room. He's always felt something different in this corner and now he was determined to find out what it was, he will not be a Lamb raised for slaughter.

He felt along the walls and bookshelves for what seemed the hundredth time but found nothing. Finally his irritation coupled with distress caused a large burst of accidental magic to explode outward. Only it didn't get far as it crashed against the wall he was leaning on and was absorbed into it with a red glow. Harry's eyes widened as he stepped back to watch the wall disappear. As the red glow faded he saw that there was an entire library full of ancient books behind the wall.

He stepped through the entryway and closed his eyes in bliss as a rush of pure dark magic washed over him. It was old and powerful and made him finally feel at home.

"Aren't you a little young to be in here boy?" A voice rasped from the portrait on the wall before him. The man in the portrait was dichromatic with one green eye just like his own and the other a frosty blue. The man had gray hair yet did not seem old and yet Harry knew he was much older than he looked given that the name under the portrait was Ignotus Peverell.

"Age doesn't matter if I feel at home." Harry stated causing Ignotus to smirk.

"It seems you feel you align with the True Dark Arts which branch do you favor?" Ignotus asked and Harry smiled.

"I really like Necromancy and I can speak parseltongue." Harry said.

"Oh, one of Sal's descendants married into the family?" Ignotus questioned but Harry looked nervous.

"I don't know my parents are Light. I seem to be the only one that can speak it." Harry said.

"Well if their Light it's not surprising they can't speak it only those with Dark Cores can even if they are born with the ability. But I would recommend you take the inheritance potion in the book Blood Inheritance Traits and their Alignments by Severus Slytherin on the third row of the book shelf on the right." Ignotus stated.

"I shall start with that there may be something that can help me.... I fear that they will kill me if they find out." Ignotus's eyes widened.

"Tell me what you've heard." Ignotus demanded, alarmed.

"You know how Slytherin is known for Dark wizards." Harry started swallowing nervously as he pulled the old book from the shelf. Ignotus nodded when he looked up to him. "They called it the house of trash that needs to be taken out...."

Ignotus had no words but the rage was clear on his face. His eyes glowing with unadulterated hatred.

"They then stated that I wouldn't be their child anymore if I did go to Slytherin." Harry sobbed while rage burned in his eyes. "They weren't even aware I was reading on the other side of the wall and I could hear them."

"So they're those type of Light. Disgraces to magicals everywhere. Don't you think that all Light magicals are like them, just majority of the human ones, you understand." Ignotus stated in a deathly serious voice and Harry nodded. "Now once you finish the potion find the spell that allows you to enter portraits so I can teach you personally. Time doesn't apply to you when your in here and I'll need all the time I can to teach you everything you'll need to survive out there in the disgrace controlled world."

"Yes Grandfather." Harry stated causing Ignotus to smile.

"It's been a long time since anyone has called me that. I look forward to teaching you, Grandson."

AN: Oh boy I'm looking forward to this one. Much more serious than some of my other series I'd say but I actually have a very solid starting plot compared to the others and I say it won't take long to get it going strong like Cat Tsuna. Well hopefully depends on my Fandom focus.
