What We Want To See
Fake.
Something that is not true.
There are people, objects, things, etcetera in the world that are fake but for me, all people have been fake. Me included. Now before you attack me saying NO let me tell you why I think so.
The society expects a lot of things from us. That's a known fact. By the time you are 16, most of them expect you to already know the profession and the aim of your life. Oh wait! Here's the catch. You can't change it again and again AND........
It better sound acceptable to them.
We lie and we deny the truth for so long that the lie turns into an honest fact for us. That's forced. In fact, its funny how they want you to do the things that they have liked.
(Doctor, soldier, engineer, doctor, pilot, engineer, blah, blah, blah)
If you say you want to be a travel blogger, they'll scorn. If you replace that with a scientist, look how they'll gleam!
It just doesn't end there.
The way you talk, dress, look or score (like grades) matters to the world too. We are merely the accused innocents in a court where everything we say or do can be and will be held against us before the law.
No one wants to meet a girl who's broken, fat and sad. Everyone enjoys a perfectly smiling beauty. We can go so far to ignoring that the first girl might actually become invisible to us at a point.
"She cries a lot but oh! That one is so sweet and that one is hilarious"
That's how we would start introducing others. Not many may actually go and ask the 'why is she crying?' question at all.
And that's how that crying girl either goes into depression or starts to act all happy and cool because we human beings need at least 1 percent of attention in life.
This is how we learn to be fake. It's not what we do, it's what we are forced to be.
I, for an instance, might be the most detached shit in the area. I've never had serious conversations with people face to face. If I have had any, it's only to discuss their problems. When I am angry and hurt I forget and start joking about it. A part of me wants them to force me to talk about mine but then I have no one but me to blame.
Me? That's on being fake.
Fake doesn't have to be necessarily a bad thing actually. Let me give you another example.
You, hypothetically, may have been accepted into a group or community because they think you are an angel who never feels sad (like duh!). So now you act like one and pretend to share the same interests until it becomes a habit for you to let others pull you apart repeatedly and see you smile back nevertheless.
You? That's on being fake.
But here's the best part.
Every coin has two sides to it just like a murder has two stories to it. The victim and the perpetrator.
We just discussed about Heads, the victims.
There is a Tails, the imposters. (Yes I am thinking about Among Us right now XD)
These are those who only pretend to be good and act like they care Oh So Much about you. Who, just for fun's sake, say 'I love you' and then spread rumors about you to the world.
They'll act like they hear your grief and encourage you to trust them with your secrets when in reality to them you are just a lot of annoyance and a nuisance. Talking bullshit behind your back is what they do. NO ONE forced them to be like that and be friends with you.
Them? That's on being fake.
So people, if you agree with me now then please comment something XD. No really I'd like to hear your opinions. This was mine.
Fakeness always begins with expectations and it'll only end when the society starts to accept us like we really are. As for the Tails, they're just bad. Until then, we can only try to gain others' trusts and be a leaning shoulder to each other.
Wait.
A steady and strong shoulder. Not one that'll slip away just as the head gets a bit heavy.
