There is one hell of a clock ticking in my room, but I can't make it stop. With my hands pressed against my ears, I sit on the bed with the white sheets. I got brought here, probably. I don't know what will happen now. I don't even have any idea about the others, or whatever is left of them.
I sigh and close my eyes. Amity. Think about Amity.
And then, the door opens. The girl who's name was Laynia steps in. She smiles at me. ''You're awake.'' she says. I nod. I know I can trust her. She saved me from that cell where my friends d-... Let's just say she saved my life.
''Here. Your medicine.'' she says, and she hands it to me. I take it in. Then she crosses her arms and stares at me. ''Why did you free me and Beth from that cell?'' I ask. Laynia smiles. ''I might be Erudite, but I am not a bad person.'' she says, and writes something down. Then I see it. A flame, tattooed on her back.
''You were Dauntless.'' I say. She looks up, but says nothing. She only nods. ''Yes. That's correct.'' she says. Then she walks over to the door, but I stop her.
''Wait, where are Beth and Quentin?'' I ask. She gives me a slight smile. ''Don't worry about them. They are in the rooms next to you, recovering.'' she says. I nod. Then she leaves, leaving me alone in this white room. So I am still in Erudite. I am wondering which side.
I am so confused. So confused. And also so broken. What am I going to do now? Who am I going to be?!
But...
Because of all this I don't know who to be or how to act. In fact; I don't know anything. I don't know what happened, and how we got here. Life is not fair sometimes. I know that now. Especially when you live in a world like this. Where you are different.
