Who likes my new covers? I'm really in love with them (:
"Well, Oli said you hadda surprise for us. Where is it?"Fletcher huffs from he's sitting on his knees at the breakfast table, not really paying attention to the bowl of Cheerios in front of him and instead is watching his Daddy move around the room, making breakfast for himself and Louis, as well as what Fletcher can tell is a bottle which confuses him because he's 100% sure he doesn't use one and Oliver doesn't use one unless he's sick.
"Did he?"Liam turns and raises an eyebrow at his eldest, whose hazel hair was fluffed up from sleep and cheeked tinted pink from over heating during the night. Fletcher nods his head, looking over at this younger brother who was busy eating his own cereal and not really paying attention to the conversation that was happening. His cereal was more important."I don't remember saying that."He shrugs his shoulders and turns so his back is to the boys.
"You did say!"Oliver pipes up, only catching onto the tail end of the conversation."'ought we were gonna build'a fort but 'ou said no, a-and then 'ou said 'ou have a surprise!"He exclaims loudly, banging his spoon against the side of the bowl to show his enthusiasm and excitement about the topic that was being discussed.
"When was this?"Liam continues to play his little act, looking over his shoulder at Oliver and Fletchers annoyed little expressions. Louis was still up stairs with baby Adrian, Louis just having a little bonding time with the small baby before introducing the newest member to his boisterous bunch of boys.
"Nighttime!"Oliver pouts, lips jotted out and brown eyes wide.
"Night time? I don't remember that. You must've been dreaming, sweetheart."Liam near enough snickers as the words fly out of his mouth. Oliver looks so betrayed as he looks at his daddy, while Fletcher just looks generally pissed off that his younger brother got him excited about an apparent surprise. He should've known not to trust what his little brother said.
"Was not!"The younger of the two argues, cheeks puffed out in anger because his Daddy was lying and making him out to be the liar which just wasn't fair."Daddy is being a meanie."
"Whoa whoa, don't be throwing around the M word, Oli. That's not nice."Liam scowls Half heartedly because he honestly can't help the teasing. He was just having a little fun, and yeah Oliver was correct because he is being a Meanie but he didn't care right now.
"Give it a break, Oli."Fletcher grumbles, rolling his eyes and going back to his cereal sulkily. He was hoping that the surprise was something awesome like going to Disney land, or maybe Another holiday because the last one was so awesome, but no, there was no surprise."Daddy, I'm finished."
"You've barely touched your cereal,"Liam points out, taking a sip from his mug of coffee and peering into Fletchers bowl.
"Not hungry,"He shrugs his shoulders. He was a picky eater and both parents had learned that he was from a young age, although it didn't stop both Liam and Louis from trying to get him to eat more so that he didn't become malnourished like Louis feared that he might become.
"Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, blue."Louis' voice echoes through the kitchen, making Fletcher and Olivers heads turn round to look at their Papa."Just because you're not having breakfast with Papa, doesn't mean you can try and chance your way out of Breakfast with Daddy."He smiles, walking into the Kitchen with soft steps towards the breakfast table.
Louis kisses both Fletcher and Oliver foreheads with a small good morning to them both, whispering for Fletcher to eat a little bit more of his cereal. He has already said good morning to Liam, but that doesn't stop him from giving the man a kiss."I don't know how you do it, babe."Liam wasn't use to the morning duties, hell he hadn't a duty for ages since his football career kicked off, and it was only now that he was taking a small break was he getting the hang of things again.
"I know their ways, they are stubborn boys, just like their Daddy."Louis smirks.
"Ha! Their Papa is just as stubborn."Liam answers back, wrapping his arms around his husbands waist. Liam honestly wasn't looking forward to the night feelings and nappy changes all over again, but he was expert as it, being able to change nappies in his sleep.
"Papa! Daddy say we gotta surprise!"Oliver exclaims loudly because he as not going to let this go, he knew that his Daddy had s surprise for them and he damn well wanted to know what it was. His Papa won't lie to him, Papa never lies.
"A surprise?"Louis smiles softly in fondness as Oliver nods and so does Fletcher, a little more hesitant than his younger brother."Well, I mean it was a surprise but I guess Daddy has ruined it, telling you both there is a surprise."
"Was?"Fletcher echoes.
"Daddy ruined it, it's not a surprise anymore."Louis shrugs his shoulders, biting the inside of his cheek as he watches them both practically glare at him.
"Told 'ou!"Oliver near enough shouts, jabbing the eldest in the side with his purple plastic spoon because no one was believing him the whole time that he said there was a surprise, and now His papa is claiming that there was.
"Do you two want to come see your surprise?"Louis asks, a small smile on his lips. He has been looking forward to this all day and he was just glad that non of his little mosh eyes has realised how his stomach wasn't as prodding as it was when he was pregnant. It was take some time to lose the pregnancy weight, again, but it woke happen soon enough. The midwife was to come later in the day to give Adrian a once over.
"Yes!"Both boys shout, scrambling out of their chairs.
"Okay, okay."He laughs, wiggling out of Liams hold."But you both Gotta be really quiet and stay beside me, okay?"Once he has gained the nods that he wanted, he smiles and makes his way towards the livingroom with Oliver and Fletcher beside him and Liam behind.
"I hope they got a Puppy."Fletcher whispers as quietly as he can to his little brother, watching how Olivers face lights up at the idea of having a puppy in the house to play with. He loves Puppies, his Uncle Ashton and Luke have a really cute one that is always so nice to him but he's really big compared to Oliver.
Liam had set up the Moses basket in the livingroom where Louis had now placed a sleeping Adrian inside, dressed up in a neutral white babygrow with little mittens on his hands and a little hat over the little brown tuff of hair on his head. Oliver was too small to look into the basket so Liam took it as the opportunity to lift him up so he could look in at his little brother.
"What is it?"Oliver squints with threaded up eyebrows.
"It's a baby,"Fletcher deadpans."We already got a baby, why do we need another one?"He gestures to Oliver because really, Oliver was the baby but now he's not.
"You knew we were having another baby, love."Liam can't help but to laugh."This is your new little brother, Adrian."
"Can we swap for a puppy?"Fletcher asks hopefully, looking at his new baby brother and then back to his parents with a wide, hopeful smile because honestly that would be a lot better. He already has an annoying little brother, he doesn't need another one to be poking at his sides, mimicking his words and following his around like his shadow.
"No, we can't swap him for a puppy."
"Please?"
"No, Fletcher."
"Can we swap Oliver for a puppy?"
"Nooooooo! I don' wanna leave! Don' 'wap me Papa!"
I honestly really liked this chapter? xD I thought it was pretty cute and funny okay that's my opinion C:
Is it sad that I have a book 4 idea already planned out in my head which will solely revolve around Fletcher/Axel? Should I do it when this book finishes? (:
It's pretty short, but what do you all think? Was this chapter good?
Your opinion on Fletchers Reaction?
Any more Prompts?
Favourite Payne child at the moment? (I always ask this I dunno why)
Peace✌🏼️
